I backed Swann until he stopped funding the club 64 name the posters who slated bru and Matt not “like awaywego” who didnt.
May 21, 2023 at 8:50 pm #262754Unless you are aware of the conditions associated with the share transfer, you can’t say that with any degree of certainty. As I said earlier, unless Peter Swann and his advisors had a bad day at the office there will almost certainly be conditions attached to the initial transfer. Seeing as the main aspect of the deal has gone pear shaped, neither of us will have to wait long to find out who is right.
May 21, 2023 at 8:59 pm #262756Swann wants us gone on the 24th of this month according to that statement put out by Hilton. Nice block is Swann, never fails to surprise.

May 22, 2023 at 7:59 am #262759Hilton has had four months to come up with what he agreed to pay.
Swann is well within his rights. Like him or loathe him he is not not a charity.May 22, 2023 at 8:52 am #262764👆 that’s the bottom line, the way I see it.

Swann has never said he wants us gone or that he doesn’t want to sell.

Exactly this.
It’s Hilton who stated Swann wants us out.
Hilton spent most of his time at the forum bad mouthing Swann, it showed his lack of class.May 22, 2023 at 11:07 am #262771Exactly this.

Are you in a position to disclose the parts which he was comfortable discussing?
May 22, 2023 at 11:11 am #262772That’s a question I would ask , i was interested in how ‘modified’ (if at all) the clubs statemate was from what was actually said at the forum from Hilton on the night.
May 22, 2023 at 12:01 pm #262773Exactly this.

Most of accusations were swiftly brushed aside as not true.
The only point he did go into was the telemarketing with Brittania Law. He stated he was collecting bad debts on their behalf and was not proud of the work. He also stated that the company operated within a grey area of the law.
May 22, 2023 at 12:10 pm #262774That’s not how I read the ‘whocallsme?’ complaints and posts about them at all.
May 22, 2023 at 12:19 pm #262776What is your gut feeling Cliff ,you seem pretty close to it all as you were there , do you take Hilton to be a man of his word ?
Ilkeston fans speak highly of him and what he did there tbf looking at it objectively it’s so difficult to know .
Is he a someone with a slightly suspect past made good ,wanting to do good ?

You can get swept away by the mood of the room at a fans forum; I was expecting him to face tougher scrutiny, although we have to remember that most us are not property law experts.
My gut feeling is that his intentions are genuine and he wants to build something long lasting here.
The problem arises when I could also have said the same about Peter Swann all those years ago.
May 22, 2023 at 4:43 pm #262789People with a little money and a big ego can be very dangerous.
Let’s all hope that we haven’t found another one!!

May 22, 2023 at 4:54 pm #262790so the allegation that was most true was the worst one?
May 22, 2023 at 5:23 pm #262791Yeah, but he’s pinky promised not to do it again. ;-)

Just to clarify, he refuted all what’s been said with the exception of Britannia Law?
May 22, 2023 at 8:28 pm #262797He actually stated he was employed by Britannia Law as a debt collector.
He did not enjoy the job and felt increasingly uncomfortable with their practices which whilst legal he felt were morally questionable. Left the company after 9 or 10 months if my memory serves me correctly. Also said this was when he was about 25.
He denied knowing any Nottingham crime syndicates and has never been involved in drug dealing or money laundering.
He admitted to having changed his name once (from White to Hilton) for what he said were family reasons and has not gone under any other names.
He stated he is not a property developer, he buys and sells land. He specialises in problematic land either with covenants or waste issues, sorts out the issues then gets planning permission and sells on.
Usually does this as a sole trader but occasionally with partners. He explained his companies without trading histories as companies created to buy specific plots of land but where he was unsuccessful at the auction stage. He has some history of conflict with councils over planning but claimed that was an inevitable factor of the business he is in.
Other than that he cracked 3 or 4 jokes at the former owners expense which obviously were going to be well received with an audience of 200 Iron fans.
Whether you liked or indeed believe his answers he did not duck any questions and actively encouraged them. He also said he was happy to answer questions from Iron fans at any time going forward.

May 22, 2023 at 8:35 pm #262799it is a somewhat mind blowing coincidence that mr white has the exact same handwriting and date of birth as a mr David anderson whose company was shut down by the government. if I were in the country I would have handed both exhibits to mr Anderson sorry mr white, sorry mr hillton and asked him to explain his way out of that one, these docs are freely available on companies house, open your eyes gentleman.

Shakes head in disbelief.

Well done with the pension information.
Have you noticed that the Hilton supporters on here who could only debate their position by hurling insults about a few weeks ago have abated?
May 24, 2023 at 1:28 pm #262886Now there’s a red rag!
May 24, 2023 at 1:54 pm #262889He spoke about the pensions at the forum.

May 24, 2023 at 3:37 pm #262898I might have misheard his reference to the outstanding pension due but, I believe it was still being finalised with his accountant and would be paid; of course I could be mistaken.

What is this company called – the one on the so called ‘dossier’ uses a link to a completely different company which is in no way associated with a David Anderson – certainly backs up Hilton’s assertions that it was put together with the purpose to sow the seeds of doubt using incorrect information present as the truth…
