Still dodges the fact that this was avoidable !
The stupid recruitment that has wasted so much money proved that.

Nothing wrong with the catering….oh sorry Bucks has done a bunk!
Having withdrawn my attendance this season and the sole responsibility of the EGO I don’t know what the standard of catering is these days.
Serious question – what is the fayre on offer these days at Glanford Park ? eg: are fried onions available with burgers ?
Someone mentioned it last week. Others will follow I understand.
So there we have it – The EGO has spoken and what do we know now.
That from Unofficially “I may not be there” he has now said Officially “I will NOT be there”.
Sadly Pat O’Cake it makes no difference to him. All it has done is say I am officially in hiding now !
Lee Turnbull has the poisoned chalice now and I can only wish him good luck. As our CEO is leaving it means he is on paper – Head Honcho !! And hope he wields the axe quickly and remove a big part of the debacle.
Perhaps someone could ask LEE how many of the present squad he would have recommended the club to sign.
Protests – who are they protesting against ? The EGO will pay no attention, it will just give Lee more problems when he has more than enough.

Got to be honest has been a great disappointment.
Surely the first thing is setting up a stable formation and get players used to it week in and out. Then reduce weekly starting line up changes to a minimum. We have had players come back too early from injury and then out injured for longer. We have square pegs in round holes – AGAIN !!
Targeting is evident. The January recruitment was woeful ! They signed unfit players for goodness sake ! Only one person responsible for me. Get someone in who knows that level and then they will have a chance.
Didn’t Swann say Cribb was on a two year deal and was staying with the club on the podcast?. Oh wait, Swann said so….yep he’s leaving.
Harry Cribb is not on an U18 contract. So by my understanding he can make his own choice as to what he does next. Although there may be some Academy/Development protection for the club it is his choice.
David O’Leary seen at forest pines
Certainly will not be Timothy Leary !
Cannot see Lee leaving a secure job for this poisoned chalice without something going on.
But all could be revealed in the fullness of time. Hopefully.

HANDCUFFS and TIEWRAPS !!!
A new low reached.

Based on unconfirmed information but from a good source I wonder if there is any point of having an academy as we leave the league.
Joey Dawson got out and reads like Harry Cribb soon to follow. How many homegrown have made it with us ?
Every post match is the same rubbish !
He questions efforts of some players but he picks the same ones every week. The jan window recruits fit our recruitment model of past seasons – lower than average.
I give all managers the opportunity to prove me right or wrong – Mr Hill has been a great disappointment. The last 10 matches in league football should have been an opportunity to capture the imagination of the fans. To start to get them back, boost season ticket sales and what have they been served ? Pathetic, boring football and post match interviews that treat fans with contempt.
People in charge gave up and they are in for a shock in the conference it is going be tough.

This could end up very messy for the club no matter what he did.
Will people now start to realise how far THEIR club has been dragged down and you can do nothing to stop it !

The tolerated will only get to know something if Mr Swann wants to release it – nothing will change.
The appointment of Neil Wright, congratulations to him but what will it achieve. Mr Swann had his fans forums, they were a waste of time because he never listened. Just look at the attitude over catering during the last few years. Perhaps a small item but the start of the decline.
If Mr Swann wanted change all those in the recruitment section would have left the club.

I knew a few days ago from a DM from Neil on Twitter, but was told not to mention it until announced, good bloke who will have PS on his toes I hope.
Well done to him but what does it achieve ?
Do not understand its purpose.
National League North will likely be our destination in 23/24 season.
It is achievable, because the recruitment plan seems to be no different to the previous 4 seasons. The owner now has his new toy at Blackpool and who will trust what he says ? This is all of his own making, it is the money wasted that has us at the relegation drop. The rubbish purchased and their paid wages defy explanation.
Hallam must be how to throw money down a drain – and then to give him another 2 years, mind boggling.
Season ticket sales will fall, gates will fall and the creator of the demise will blame everyone else !

Hallam is under contract for another year !! stupid new contract.
No we do not. Just as culpable as all the others.
Some things beggar belief, trust me.

Seems all was well last week, told someone I know that he was very happy. He has known Manny for many seasons and knows him well.
Not a chance. No steady selection, no regular formation and for an experienced manager can only use the word – POOR.
Not the man to plan for next season. Based on Jan recruitment cannot see any difference. You need a manager who knows non-league football and wants to do something. Keith Hill had a chance seems to me he gave up a while ago !

He won’t stop. Too expensive. I understand the wanted rid of him this season as he is apparently on the highest wages at the club. His wages are far in excess of anyone else’s. Collins’ game time this season is concerning. Hope this hasn’t held him back as it’s an important stage of his development to have hardly played. Watson’s had a blinding season IMO.
I believe he was told if he got another club he could leave. Cox had signed the Coventry keeper as his no.1 and Collins was no. 2. Then Cox had no alternative had to use him !
That was an early showing of the thoughts of Cox, and there were others !
Didn’t we give Hallam a new 2 year contract last summer
We did but not sure what happens when a club drops out of a league club regarding contract.
But he may have to stay and continue to be a waste of money – another manager decision that had to be agreed by the senior management team !! Another Dom Vose type investment.

Seems Mr Hill says should The Iron win it will make other teams worry !!
That is why I no longer listen to him, from the day he took over we should have ignored what the others were doing. Like Cox did he selects those that keep failing, plays them in formations that don’t work. The cardinal sin was retaining Hackney after his 6 game ban. He should have gone but moment available straight in !! Shouldn’t have been here – end of.
Targeting returned big time and we will leave with a whimper.

Could not understand why he stayed so long. Never grabbed his opportunity there are better academy and 1st year pro’s players not getting a chance even now and certainly then.
Is probably a good example of why the club is free falling.

we have no chance what so ever of staying up.
1/50 ON to be relegated.
They are generous odds.
That could have been a possibility but too many at Glanford Park have given up – on the field and on the sidelines !

Jury out for me with Mr Hill. Never thought I would be so disappointed.
From day 1 stability needed bringing. A formation that we stuck to and all got used to it. Now it is the scattergun approach – like trying to pin the tail on the donkey !!
Yes we have had injuries that is why a set approach accepts replacements far easier. We are going out with a whimper, that was never the Scunthorpe United attitude – they would battle and fight and attack at every opportunity.
That season Ron Ashman worked the miracle he abandoned the style he enjoyed. He told his players we need goals, get the ball we need it in the penalty area a.s.a.p and he gradually stopped the rot.
The January window has been a failure, and with his experience you wonder.

They were Fan’s Forums. No resolutions were ever presented to be voted on.
All the rules were changed. The last meeting was where people with shares could attend – if you were given a place at it. Do you think with 91.5% of the shares he would lose ANY vote, that any suggestion from the floor would be adopted. Of course it wouldn’t.
1 user thanked author for this post.
To apb. There are no shareholders meetings anymore. There are no votes, no anything they are called Fans Forums where no matter what is said from the floor they are ignored.
I believe Mr Swann did say he has 91.5% of the shares. As to volume of Mr Whartons shares they got watered down by the way Mr Swann introduced capital to fund whatever he deemed needed funding.
