Local weather said that air temp would be between 1c and 3c with a small snow shower around 8am or pam and temp near Zero.
Frost started not much after midnight and remained so and temp indicated as 1c. So I think they trusted the met office a tad too much.
Did Butler ever play for or manage Doncaster by any chance.
Scouting network spread far and wide.
Yes – called McCann & Byrne and perhaps the rates involved may be very attractive.
Then find out Mr Westbrooke is here for the rest of the season – could look like a win- win for us.
He needs regular game time and with us he was getting it. He will not get it at Blunder Park.
When he left us the 1st time was someones decision certainly not ours. That didn’t work out and he drifted, gets in at Hull then came to us and he gets game time and he starts to improve. Someone whispers things and direction lost.
Lets see what happens.
Yes but only signed a 2 month contract apparently. Looks unlikely to stay.
At the time he signed for Cheltenham it was rumoured (from their end) that the reason for the short term contract was that he’d already got something lined up for the new year in Major League Soccer.
No idea how true that is, but would seem to explain why he’d settle for a short term contract following a prolonged period of looking for a club after a reasonably successful time at Salford.
Rumours clearly inaccurate then. Hakeeb obviously confident in his ability to get a better deal than Cheltenham were offering…
Mr Adelakun has the same agent from his days at SUFC.
Enough said.
Of the 10 officially out of contract I would suggest at least re signed.
Of the 9 with no info at least 4 starts the 26 / 27 campaign.
Mark Beck has left the building … signed for Gateshead , wish him all the best.
Good luck to him.
Haks would want too much.
Will allow Mr Butler the opportunity to replace Chadwick and Eze without panicking.

Great win and maintains momentum. After the last 2 years we have a chance but feet on floor time.
4231 is not attacking it is defensive and negative. We scored 2 goals last night neither from open play. Last night how many times did a player pass to another player who either passed it again or perhaps did shoot.
Get back to 442 or 433. And stop the over passing which slows the game.
May I wish you all a very Happy New Year.
That is the problem with returning from injury good players – it is a risk when a loanee.
But until then……
Been playing 433 today they say 4231 – why ?
If it was working and players were looking settled why change, play our way and make them cope with us.
Get the TSF one – on a yellow and some strange reffing decisions can easily go red.
No ambition then. Gone for a comfortable, easy life. Lucky escape for us maybe.
He must like the words “The Iron”.
Festive Festiveness to one and all. Certainly much to rejoice about [ 6th in the league ! ] .
Best to all at The ATIS Arena and remembering all those who have moved on who did their bit to start the rebuild.
May I also add that this season we have all lost great club supporters this year, so thinking of their families as well.

BigLeftToe – we all had a good idea as to the outcome in Div 2. Then in the National League Mr Nelson was slowly working that miracle of staying up – so he had to go.
Club has opened negotiations with Ross Barrows on a new contract which is a good move.
They also need to look at those whose deals run out May/June 2026. 2026/2027 is going to be a big season I think and we need to show fans that progress is the aim.

Speaking of Harry Toffolo, I see he’s at Charlotte FC in the MLS now.
They’re managed by ex Villa and Norwich boss Dean Smith.
Nice one. Hadn’t seen that.
Alex Gilliead on loan at Carlisle.
Olofela Olomola – Wealdstone
Cameron Burgess – Swansea City 3yr deal. But instead we’ll set up to deal with them.
That is what I always fear.
Hi Premier Iron – they have a better Away record than at Home. Agree I think it will be tough but play our game and let them worry about us and we will be OK.
Where is Jason White these days. Last info I read was he was in the world of finance and based Hong Kong ish area.
Conor McAleny at Harrogate – scored and Ryan loft scored again at Crawley.
‘Someone got the right score in the Pred lge – 5 nil does for me.’
Are you saying you predicted 5-0 Sanfran? Think I went 2-0. Listening to the radio commentary the devil in me was willing it to stick. Delighted to hear Eze goals go in and refreshing to have the commentator master Torps back in his rightful place with Ollie. No offence to Coxy but Torps actually relays the passages of the play that those not there want to know about. He understands the role. Apologies Neil.
I did – always push the boundaries and this time it worked = haha.

I thought Peterborough Sports played reasonably well especially in the first half and it wasn’t a five goal performance by us, though we took our chances well and they couldn’t hit a barn door, but played some decent football
Someone got the right score in the Pred lge – 5 nil does for me.
Hull do not want to sell Ty S-F with Zain not sure what Doncaster intended.
Chadwick deal ends in Jan. but not sure about Eze – would think Mr Butler has something in hand to maintain

Every penny counts.

Wonder if we could afford to sign him on a permanent, chance Ollie might be gone in January.
The injury for Oli as regrettable as it was may just have made clubs look at others.
Anyone watch the Sutton game ?
Jake Taylor midfield, just sat in there and ran it – 34, but Bish was no spring chicken.
Could have Barrows on the bench. Not sure if Oteh could play although is on Non-Contract.
