That would be the kind of error which might take us from top half back to NLN.
False economy.
The more the team loses winnable games – the fewer fans will come through the gates. Fact.
If there has been some great recruiting all over the pitch but there is one area of huge weakness – again, the fans will vote with their feet.More likely to be great grandson, I reckon.
Under contract at Man Utd til 2028. Would have to be a loan AND surely they would expect him to be the Number One keeper.
I do agree but I get really nervous about these things – probably a touch of old fartitude.
The matter that bothers me most is that we have known for such a very long time that we would need to bring in a G/K of quality – irrespective of whether or not he is first in line or a back up.
Pro teams have to have two GKs capable of keeping goal well.
What I can’t understand is that in all of this time we haven’t uncovered a suitable man to sign.
I do really want Campbell to succeed but that is not enough. We have been relegated from the NL – we need total professionalism in all parts of the team.1 user thanked author for this post.
I liked the tractor on that roundabout. Mind you, I did lose interest as the years walzed by.
Practice games are for experimentation. Presumably, AB learned much from those goals being conceded.

Cannot be. Has to be a decent all round keeper.
I am getting slightly miffed that this has not been remedied with real matches only a few weeks away.1 user thanked author for this post.
Gainsborough and Dubai?
No signs of movement for Jake Eastwood
A bottom third side will surely have lower gates than those of a promotion season.
If the GK position is not covered to pretty much the same levels as it has been over the last two seasons – everything we had been hoping for in the NL would be imperilled.
Phew!
That at least makes sense.Agree.
But would still hate to start the season without a 2nd keeper with experience.Whitby’s restaurant and takeaway (just off the Sheffield Parkway beyond Morrisons on way to Catcliffe) has a good reputation.
Posher restaurant but our last visit cost £50 for the pair of us.
Mrs Lesgeo insists on not chucking money away so we rarely go there.
Big difference between £18 and £50 – admittedly with one or two extras. It wasn’t all that bad when it first started, DM.
If anyone is in Sheffield at any time – go to Frymaster on Attercliffe Rd. Recently refurbed restaurant.
Cod or haddock and chips + peas etc for two. Change out of £18!
Great staff. Comfortable.
Voted best in Sheffield year after year.
Beautifully cooked.
Back there again with friends next Tuesday for umpteenth time this year.
(Mind you, Whitby is a bit more attractive than S9, I must admit!)We only ever ate fish and chips in the Magpie once. It was poor. (Mind you, it was just after the lengthy closure they’d had some years back.)
There are better places in Whitby.
The Fisherman’s Second Wife (think that’s the name) has served us well. It had some super OAP deals and a decent view.
Dunno how things are now. Must be pre-covid since our last visit to Whitby.I am concerned.
I might have to search my conscience about that one.
We now have too many strikers. We could ask a modest fee for him. I think that he is unlikely to start – or even to feature – in very many games with us at this level.
He is not the awful player that some have suggested on here. Just another square peg in a round hole.
I wish him well, hope that he finds his niche and can enjoy appreciation from some other club’s fans – probably in the NLN.Do we know what AB’s plans are for CM?
Yeah, IFA. Looking likely.
I’ve heard this too but dunno if yours is the same SM source I got from a third party this morning.Hmm.
34?
On trial, Mick?
Nice thought but could be pretty expensive though and I’ve never really thought that getting too many loanees always works.
Opinion or statement?
There’s not been a huge amount of activity this close season in the NL.
OOh! It sounds fun.
What date does training recommence – anyone?
7th July? -
