He kept scoring goals and kept his head up despite uncertainty around wages. Good luck to the lad
The corporate system is set up to help charlatans like Swann (and Zahawi) to do what they want. He should be struck off as a director but he won’t be; its morally and ethically obscene but the system is set up to punish somebody on benefits who took £50 rather than somebody actively destroying a community asset or forgetting to pay tax on £27m.

should protest outside Swann’s house

The spinelessness of the statement is beyond me. Turnbull knew it was
mainly young lads so his motive was to think he can scare them by mentioning the police and arrests –
pathetic. LT spent months getting fans on side and wiped this out and more in a few lines on an ill thought through comm. He can do one for me now.4 users thanked author for this post.
What should we do? Have a sit down protest at a day care centre?
What they did was correct and after LT’s own goal there will
be more joining in.3 users thanked author for this post.
I note that a village cricket team raised their plight about being unable to play at their facility due to some neighbours complaining about cricket balls. They raised awareness through Ben Stokes, Michael Vaughn and raised enough to procure some nets £35k I believe. It can be done – the Trust need to agree with Elliot and Sharp how we do this, stadium naming right, purchase of stadium itself. Must be several avenues we can explore

Cox on radio said we were in it until the fans came on and then they scored when they went off. Absolute bollocks
spouted by someone who was part of the problem. Blaming fans for us losing is well below the belt – almost as spineless as those booing the young lads for peacefully protesting at the state of the club. Well done to those who protested.9 users thanked author for this post.
only thinking we could team up with consortium and we (the trust) purchase the ground as a community asset – could raise £1m and safeguard the stadium – would only work with genuine fans Elliot and Sharp. There are plenty of charities who raise funds to maintain assets. No doubt someone has already considered this
Does the Iron Trust have charitable status? It is an asset of community value (the ground). Must be easier to donate to a charity?
Awaywego I’ve heard about transfer embargo but didn’t know you could not sell without court permission? Is that right?
fairly sure he was called Colin, lived near me in Ashby (the guy with the glasses)
If he passes fit and proper then we really are in the shit. There is no footballing reason for him buying the club

Always go out leaving the crowd wanting more…..
What are the odds for staying up if so drastic for going down. Swann would have a piece of that and sell surely?
Listened to it. He’s trying to be as polite as possible about Swann to get the deal done which must take some doing, fair play

How far Swann has fallen when it takes a shady bookies to out him and take the moral high ground in this sad episode.
The business world will treat him with the disdain he deserves and the only ones willing to work with him will be those who see him as a target to make a quick buck. If he is allowed to handle money again, surprised Karin hasn’t taken his phone off him

Sounds like Swann has been a very naughty boy around 2018. (Well most years but 2018 seems to be an exceptional year for the bogus one)

The word ‘daily mail’ in your link removes any likelihood of any semblance of truth.

Surely if we’re wound up, next season doesn’t really matter SUFC Ltd won’t exist (right up Swann’s street that)

Understand we are prevented from signing players with Swann still in charge. Presumably we can get OOC players but we’re more likely to fold than get players in
Swann had accepted no responsibility for anything. Sympathy should be reserved for those who may struggle to pay mortgages – the employees of SUFC. We now appear to be under another transfer embargo and there has been talk of unpaid tax – but we are suggesting sympathy with a person who has destroyed a community asset.
If he handed SUFC over for £1 let the club play at least one season until we had time to build elsewhere then I would offer nothing more than silence against his antics (certainly no sympathy). Never forget we have a squad made up of players who really should be part time and will be in NLN next year – as the very best outcome for where we are at the minute. Sadly liquidation is just around the corner.

You could feel sorry for him if he tried to do the decent thing. He isn’t, he is still refusing to take any responsibility. He has killed a club, Scunthorpe history and some of those at the club may struggle to pay mortgages or worse around a time of year they have to put brave fronts on for family not knowing whether they will get paid. None of us know where he was getting the money from to feed this habit. He is blaming a shady bookkeeper for allowing this but still refuses to front up to fans and come clean. Elliot and co need to buy SUFC for a pound and let him have the land use the money to start again. Him and his like care nothing about the average fan (we’re morons don’t forget).

We were doomed once ITV got the rights 😂
Goalkeeper top priority – has been for years. We have to bear in mind we’re bottom of NL with the freefall still in full effect. Are we going to get a decent keeper? Doubt it. Even so Dewhurst is worse than Rory who was the worst we’ve had for decades. Taft needs binning as well – not a footballer by any stretch

Swann gone is great but a squad with players who are any good and actually give a sh*t is a pressing priority. GK 2 CB’s 2DM’s 2AM’s a striker some wingers the list is long

On the plus side there’ll be loads of shirts sold as mementos of the last shirt in the club’s history

Bookies rarely wrong 1/4 on is pretty much nailed on. Considering Torquay’s odds who are close to us it shows the bookies know that the club won’t last that long and if they do certainly won’t stay up with no money coming in
I haven’t been for a long while, whilst the Stench of the Swann family drifts through the club I won’t be back, the worrying thing is each weekend I become a little more detached from SUFC to the point of inevitability. Its beyond disgusting what one family can do to a club. Feels like there’s nothing left in it

Nothing against Neil but he must see his role as redundant. A mouthpiece without a mouth.

The London consortium would be Ian Sharp surely? Long time Scunny fan and Film Producer/Director. He is based in London isn’t he? I thought he was in with Simin Elluots lot!
