It was 3-2 91st then 4-2 so from added time only a point.

I get that, but in front on 87 mins I’d expect a win.

Yep agree – could be added to the list. I just went on 90+ mins.

I think the players drop deep naturally and I bet Butler screams at them to get out.He probably needs to find a plan B to see games out in training.

I think we play better against the better teams, wouldn’t surprise me if we get something at Borehamwood and Home to FG.

A quick look at this season (team/time conceded/points cost)
    Brackley 98 minutes 2 pts
    Forest Green 98 2pts
    Altrincham 91 1pt
    Morecambe 97 2pts

Sitting deep and making defensive subs invites the opposition on.

3 of those were time added on from
    nowhere by the ref.

    It needs addressing.

Really is astonishing the amount of points dropped in added time (and added time on added time from nowhere). We would’ve been top without these mishaps.

Do we start to take this comp seriously? With two potential home wins (not discounting anything after the Macc result) we could make a good fist of winning it

It’s always that bit at the end of the ground. Can’t we get heated covers or under soil heating just for that part which gets no sun? Seems a waste of a Saturday with the better revenue to go with it

Looking at long range forecast it might affect the next home game as well (Clitheroe). That might work out in our favour if this has to be rearranged into a night fixture – and also potentially save fans from rearranging Truro away if we get through.

Clean sheet is good. Thought they made it difficult for us despite being very limited in the ability department. I would like to see Barrows get more game time. Our full backs distribution was pretty poor last night (maybe 1 in 10 successful passes when moving forward). Pitch doesn’t help. God help us in the deep of winter.

Another great result however one tiny gripe…. today (and in past) we have made changes and changed the game in a negative way. I get the need to save the players but we were in complete control, Pools were just running around without the ball and I don’t think anyone broke sweat on the Scunny side…until the changes. Only a very minor gripe but if we had stayed the same we might have had a clean sheet which would’ve been most welcome. Overall cannot complain with an 11 point gap from outside the playoffs. We have a difficult period coming up but I think we play a lot better against the top teams. Ewing and Roberts best players in the league.

We’ve missed them as much as the ref and linesman missed the Tamworth player slapping the ball away off the goal line.

His post match interview he appears to have had a ‘debate’ with a fan.
I get him defending the team but he needs to pare back in his interaction with fans. Coming into winter with key players weeks away (Butler’s assessment) the last thing we need is a big drop off in attendances.
For me Butler needs to change his strategy in game management, he has however said he is not changing anything but you need to adapt when your best 4 players are out and the back up players are just not good enough.

2-1 up with two minutes of normal time remaining beggars belief.

Probably just a blip, we have been off it last few games but still getting results. Would like to see maybe someone on loan either up front or attacking to add a bit of creativity. When fully fit a great squad but we are one deep in a few areas in quality terms. First away defeat half way through November isn’t half bad though

Looking at November fixtures – no reason why we shouldn’t be winning all of these games. Never take things for granted but it’s a fairly easy run of fixtures. A lot of the top seven playing each other multiple times as well.

I remember him commentating on Argentina V England 1998 when he said ‘there’s only one team winning this now – England!’. We know the rest…

I think the game was England Romania when he said that, Phil Neville waited until the guy got in the box before bringing him down 3-2 final score

Don’t think we’ve ever conceded that many corners in a half of football. Dangerous with the swirling wind so we did well to keep them out. Lucky 3 points as it looked a pen. We’re about due some luck though

Cannot believe we haven’t taken three points. Very careless finishing-
Should’ve been 3-0 before their first shot on target. At 1-0 most teams know we concede a goal so they’re still in it. Two dropped rather than one gained in my view

Great second half. From where I was Rory decided not to come for the cross (right decision he wouldn’t have got there). It was the gap between the back two that worried me. Also Scales struggles at full back at this level. Proper tale of two halves though. Don’t know why Bellahoun went off, hope he’s OK.

Whitehall wasn’t alone in looking leggy. The defence was all over the place and the passing/distribution left a lot to be desired.
I fear for the players entering winter when playing on that pitch. The pitch will get heavy and uneven, lead to injuries and quite frankly is an embarrassment at any level. I would be talking with the NL to move some fixtures to try and get some areas relaid (if we have enough time left) because another Barrows injury isn’t far away. Morecambe looked a good side and I hope they climb the table, they surely will if they continue to play like they did last night. I’ll take the 3 points.

Thought we played really well when down to 10, crosses and set plays into the box is a real problem and if we can learn from them and do better I don’t see any teams better than us.

Ref is losing control of this game. Can’t see us getting back in it and nearly lost both centre halves. Can see the ref sending one of there’s off – then maybe we could have a sniff

I don’t see any value in Beck being in the squad, offers nothing and has an aversion to jumping. He’s not what we need in the squad.

Ridiculous amounts of added time being added but there is a worrying pattern developing. We do lose shape towards the end of the match when the subs are made. A well earned point feels like a defeat again.

Last away game of season? Wealdstone
    Last game of season? Eastleigh.
Reckon we would take a lot of fans if still in the mix.

One of their fans was bleating on about 100% foul and penalty (for the challenge where he popped his shoulder). It was shoulder to shoulder no where near penalty, wonder if a penalty was given the players would’ve come
back out. The answer undoubtedly is yes. League have only one path to take and that is to award the win to us otherwise their authority is shot to bits.

Didn’t see the game today but Torpey was mentioning the state of the pitch (in how bad it is) said it was affecting play. I’m almost grateful we therefore have 3 away games in a row now.

It used to be each thread had a talking point that was built on and kept to the subject matter, opinions always differed but now I see a rapid movement to vitriol and bitterness within most threads which is only appealing to very few people, moderators being anything but moderate, couple that with the cliff edge plummet and the standard of opposition on offer it is little wonder some cannot be bothered anymore (commenting on here). It feels like a societal problem where people want to give instant judgement on others.

Also the division that Hilton caused is still hanging over us. Very dark days.
