Lol, brother at GP just texted me saying Rory pulled off a decent save worthy of at least Sunday league. Hope the Dog & Duck don’t come calling. Woof quack!

October 25, 2025 at 5:14 pm #312508Save of the season and got us the 3 points! Made bloody hard work of that though. Still yet to see anything from Chadwick to suggest he should be anywhere near the starting 11.

October 25, 2025 at 5:15 pm #312509October 25, 2025 at 5:22 pm #312510Glad they didn’t go on a goal fest after the previous failures, 2-1 good enough hope they’ve saved some for the next big game at Rochdale.
Nice to see Blackpool win as well and not hopefully saving their win for us.October 25, 2025 at 5:37 pm #312512That 2nd half was hard work (watching) Passing was awful and ball retention dire, must do better. (But we won!!!)

October 25, 2025 at 5:41 pm #312514I was half expecting the usual 10mins extra time followed by clenching till the final whistle.
Hoovering up points in scrappy games is always a good thing.
October 25, 2025 at 5:43 pm #312515Yes it was a strange watch but a win is a win.
Not sure why a few were out injured or flu.
Watson had a decent game.
Not what Celtic saw in Dawson as he brings nothing to the table for us.October 25, 2025 at 5:51 pm #312516Dawson had a decent outing against Truro. A bit off thr boil since. Maybe he finds it difficult to get going without consistent game time?

October 25, 2025 at 5:53 pm #312517He’ll get some on Tuesday!
October 25, 2025 at 6:03 pm #312518I don’t know how we won this as Aldershot were the best team second half and they are fifth from bottom which shows how poor we were
October 25, 2025 at 6:32 pm #312519The old game of two halves but a win is a win and we will have games like this, other teams do and we are no different. Things to take from today, another good game from Watson and an outstanding save that made sure we kept the three points, we are poorer when Alfie doesn’t play and Dawson is clearly not fit enough yet to hold down a starting place, hope he can get regular fitness soon because he has the physicality to be a really good forward IMO. Second in the league last week in October with only one league defeat so far, who would have thunk it? Well done Iron.
October 25, 2025 at 6:36 pm #312520Another game maybe where AI should determine the result.
Table counts for nowt and guarantees you nowt, just wish all them diddly dong teams in NNL last season had played ball and new their place. Maybe we’re getting a bit more karma this season.October 25, 2025 at 6:39 pm #312521October 25, 2025 at 6:40 pm #312522The Aldershot guys put a bloody good shift in ,sadly we were playing a man down effort wise ,most lazy display I’ve ever seen from any player anywhere.
Big game for Watson too1 user thanked author for this post.
October 25, 2025 at 7:27 pm #312523Dawson never had any pace; after his two knee injuries, he’ll be even slower.
October 25, 2025 at 7:40 pm #312524at least he tried
October 25, 2025 at 7:52 pm #312525Tried what? Licking Danny’s boots.

A tad baffling his showings since the excellent Truro display. Intrigued to know if it’s a fitness thing or he just came up against an opposition defence who couldn’t deal with him. Bearing in mind in that game the side seemed to be at the peak of their powers and have since tailed off. Perhaps the players around him made him look better than he currently is that day? Still scored a scorcher mind, any day of the week.
October 25, 2025 at 8:56 pm #312532Don’t think we’ve ever conceded that many corners in a half of football. Dangerous with the swirling wind so we did well to keep them out. Lucky 3 points as it looked a pen. We’re about due some luck though
October 25, 2025 at 11:21 pm #312534A wins a win but terrible second half.
Great save from Rory to keep us in the game
Re Dawson any one noticed that he seems unable to even position himself on the end of a high ball,October 26, 2025 at 12:03 am #312535A tad baffling his showings since the excellent Truro display. I wouldn’t be surprised if fitness is a big part of it. It must be difficult making a come back after having both knees under the knife.

October 26, 2025 at 7:23 am #312540Agreed. Hopefully come good in time.

They should crawl off the training pitch after passing drills ALL DAY ! It is unacceptable for professionals failure to pass the ball correctly and to who it is meant for.
October 26, 2025 at 3:06 pm #312557One of their substitutes who came on 11 minutes from time, Kean Anderson is a friend of Oli Ewing all the way fro Primary School
