Yep I remarked the same to my mate it was quite noticeable, hope it wasn’t his last game but if it is we just crack on, as with any other good player leaving.

Well if it is a consortium led by Attis then Joe will be driving the bus.
“You saw Awaywego in his footballing prime?”
As far as I can remember he was too busy polishing his Doc Martens!I hear he spends all day polishing his head now, the years have not been kind, lol.
Looks more like his adopted brother ya berk

Several candidates for MOTM which indicates a decent team performance overall and nobody had a bad game IMO. Thought Rowley was a decent shout to get it, reckon it was his best game for us yet certainly at home.

That’s my mind made up. Nobody says they wouldn’t want sustainability
Fruitcakes say lots of weird stuff 64 I wouldn’t let it bother you.
Attis the ground sponsor.
Heard that they want rid of Michelle don’t know whether just her but she’s not ambitious enough in their eyes and needs more money putting in.Well Joe’s not short of a few bob maybe he might come in himself?
`Both goals were defendable particularly the second but I don’t think the subs were to blame, agree with DM’s synopsis.
Agree with all that Cliff and I thoroughly enjoyed the game, we played some good stuff at times and yeah the end was a bit nervy after conceding that stupid second which should have been cleared but hey it’s a win and for most of it we were decent . Delighted Beck is finally off the mark ( no pun intended ) it was scrappy but they all count and it won us the game.UTI.

I’d send the lad out on loan to build his confidence – we need players who are firing on all cylinders in our ‘attempt’ to extricate ourselves from this leperous league.
” leperous league” eh, well we do play like a bit dropped off sometimes.

He did it to wind up the left and the media and to grab attention and it worked. When you own your own social media platform I guess you can do what you want, bloody money eh who would have thought it, lol. Was it a Nazi salute or an ancient Roman salute? either way I don’t know but it’s the start of the Trump/Musk media shit show. Had to laugh when Trump signed all those executive orders in public yesterday then waving them in the air saying ” Biden wouldn’t have done this”, your absolutely right you bell end, he had far more respect for his office than you Trump.
He was hacked you say.
Luckily for SM part of my day job has me working with the cyber security team for a multinational organisation. I am happy to run some forensic tools on his devices at no cost. I have software that can examine artifacts on computers to aid with the identification of the origin of the attack, discover what ‘data’ the threat actor accessed, remove any backdoors, and secure the device for the future.
As he’s a Scunthorpe United supporter I will do it free of charge.
Which will you drain first his bank account or his fund raising account or are they the same? lol.

If we don’t sell he goes for free, big deal not, he didn’t cost us a fee initially and we would save on his high wages. If we are realistic about promotion we keep him but if a club comes in offering silly money then we sell anyway, either way it’s not an issue to get worked up about, players have come and gone for years but the important thing is the club remains, whatever division it operates in. Yes I want promotion but if it’s not this season so be it.

‘I don’t know why we are here, but I’m pretty sure that it is not in order to enjoy ourselves.’
Kant.He sounds a proper Kant.

Trump and Musk will be partying now like there’s no tomorrow and maybe in the fullness of time under their joint leadership ( which it will be initially at any rate ) there will be no tomorrow, let’s wait and see who starts name calling who publicly first.

When the club was struggling for survival under the previous ownership the feeling that ran throughout the fanbase and general support from other clubs fan groups felt like football had shown it’s true colours about the larger football family. The money that was raised in quick time through all these good intentioned fans helped us get through long enough for the current board to get the wheels of long term survival going. That felt like proper unity and all parties worked together to make it happen. Now the club has stabilised this new unity group is rearing it’s head and for me personally this feels different and not like before. I will continue to be a member and support the goals of the Iron Trust but I will not be supporting this so called Unity Group because it doesn’t feel anything like what it’s name suggests. This is my personal opinion and others must judge for themselves.

January 19, 2025 at 5:19 pm in reply to: Israel desperate to appease nutters and continue killing #297458Not sure why some people are giving Trump credit for the ceasefire starting particularly as it’s Biden original plan. Guess if it lasts a couple of days and folds then Trump will blame Biden anyway. Israel may realise Trump is less predictable and could do something rash or dangerous after tomorrow if it doesn’t hold but either way I can’t see it lasting the full six weeks and the second part negotiations will be held amidst a return of Israel bombing. It’s all very sad.
I’m already a member of a Scunthorpe United Unity Group, it’s called the Iron Trust.

From what is said on this forum about the ” Cults page ” seems like quite a few on it have learning curves of their own.
I think Rene is allowed a day off after that first post, his brain must really hurt, lol.

Roberts probably next, bet Accrington couldn’t afford his wages though.
Yep a first this season would be nice, three home wins on the bounce required, anything less and we lose ground further, fingers crossed.
He actually hit the post today???
Thought it was the bar but I’m just splitting hairs for devilment.

Was his contract just till the end of the season? Hope so
18 months apparently so we have got him next season too.

Barndoor banjo
I prefer the cows arse with a banjo analogy, he hit the bar though, does that mean he’s getting nearer or he should have scored?

Good point or points dropped?
Sounded unlucky towards the end. Big 3 games coming up and Kiddie on the charge.
Any away point is good and our away form has been decent this season, it’s our home form that is dire, we have to win more home games, simples.

Can’t say I’m too impressed with any of today’s business TBH, the players coming in lack experience and Brogan going the other way on loan, well I don’t think he’s had a fair crack at it here yet IMO. Fishburn to Gainsborough is sensible because it gives him game time and that’s what he needs.
