Listened to commentary. Two questions:
1) How many times did Kelly lose possession?
2) How many shots on target did we have? The answer my friend is blowin in the wind
The answer is blowin in the windwe aren’t winning 4 on the bounce – play off’s it is
Are Kidderminster and Brackley winning 4 on the bounce then? Few dummies being spat out tonight, I believe we are still top of the league, just an alternative view to the negativity.

I’m going for a 2-0 away win, a good steady professional performance please boys, no need for any headless chicken stuff we are the team in pole position.
Remember that Right Twix/Left Twix advert.
Set up 2 new clubs
One with SE, LT and DS in the boardroom, JD as manager
The other with MH, RR, SB in the boardroom, AB as managerWhich one has the sound of the snap when you bite into it?

Don’t hold your breath. Turnbull went with a terse official statement, then the Goat was sidelined on community day, FC100000 fiasco and now merch labs dropped like a stone. I can’t recall Roberts officially saying anything about anything and I’m not sure I’d even recognise him if he walked passed me.
He’ll be the one with a bag over his head looking the other way and whistling.

Nearly went a full week without a sideshow; feel sorry for Andy and the players who must be wondering what else is around the corner.
It’s the timing the board chooses to make these decisions which is the sickener, why couldn’t Goat/Merch labs be given the boot at the end of the year? Why was the FC100000 planned to be announced 6 weeks before the season end? Why has a festival been announced with 3 month notice ?
Some odd decisions/timings and all doesn’t appear well.
Yet, they manage to run their own businesses.
Why do they collectively appear to be so naive & incompetent running a FC?Well they aren’t the first people in football club history to do that are they TBF, not exactly unique to our club is it?

April 5, 2025 at 9:18 am in reply to: Has Whitehall Played His Last Game For The Iron – Yes or No #301744Yep said so weeks ago and TBF we haven’t really missed him that much, ten games he’s missed I believe and we are two points clear at the top of the league, what’s not to miss.
The Six Million Dollar Man would be the $39m man today.
How we’d love a free hit injection of $6m !
If we were watching Steve Austin today surely he’d be the $6.6 million dollar man?
Hope they do throw the kitchen sink at us, leaves more space in behind, we are good on the counter.

I was meaning the generational differences regarding what is good music now or not IFA, course there’s nowt wrong with your ears but the younger generation thinks you listen to crap compared to them it’s just how it is. Don’t think when it comes to music the kids today give a toss wether we like the majority of what they listen to or not.
We haven’t missed Whitehall and probably won’t next season, it’s Roberts and Fitz we will miss.

Maybe its just me but music today is absolute shite when compared to the 80s …isnt it ??
That’s because your an old man, happens too us all, the Who sang about my generation, I’m guessing the majority of youngsters these days would regard the Who as shite
Ask the person who shares their surname with a closed homewares store…
Dave Habitat?
Close, I believe the last part is spelt twat.
Haven’t seen Adolescence but Mr Bates v the Post Office was absolutely brilliant and revealing IMO, the cast were excellent and it opened a lot of people’s eyes about what actually went on and not how some of it was reported.
Ha ha! Only a day later than anticipated. But if the day fits…
Strangely reminiscent of a previous tirade against Kieran, around the middle of 2023. ‘I used to like you mate, used to respect you, now you’re just like the rest of them. I smoke out vermin me…’ blah blah blah, BS, BS, BS…ad infinitum.
Is ‘out vermin’ a type of crack?
Dunno but it reads like he talks out of the crack between his butt cheeks.
The Chester half time debacle told us a lot, surprised not.
Rabbits laying eggs!!!! that’s a novel idea.
Next time I’m in St John’s market I’ll ask “Do you sell Rabbit eggs?”
Good idea get half a dozen and drop them off round Awaywego’s.
Aye but they all don’t lay em for Easter but maybe in your head they do, what a surprise.
Over to you Awaywego
Rabbits laying eggs!!!! that’s a novel idea.
Said on Look North at lunch he was in a coma, thoughts are with him and his family.
That really is bad news about Tai, local hero round these parts and his late Dad was very well respected round here and the wider speedway community, fingers crossed the lad will be ok.
I believe Awaywego has separated his brain from reality, this of course is nothing new he has previous on this over the years, it’s not just a difference of opinion it’s the difference of not thinking rationally.
Maybe Phil Brown is relying on a couple of players to stay fit, he will feel the pressure just the same as our management will and both sets of players. They won’t disclose it publicly but the greater pressure will be on the team trailing not the team leading, it’s the law of averages it’s how this stuff works.
Always best to think about these things logically, if you were Phil Brown would you rather be two points better off than your nearest title challenging rival or two goals difference better and two points behind! Come on it’s a no brainer surely?
Your recollection is pretty shite then Ironawe, Wharton threatened to liquidate the club if no one come forward to buy the club.
Don’t you recall the £5.500.000 wage bill in 2010/11 season that would bring a loss of nigh on £2 million the next, or the £3.7 million wage bill the next season with revenue of only of £3.200.000.
Then he left the club with loans to repay, wasn’t the kids who left home it was daddy.Didn’t find it on club accounts they seem to be showing Chesterfields for that era God knows why, but a quick search elsewhere soon brings it up.
So are you saying Wharton left the club in a worse financial state when he left than Swann or Hilton? Quite astonishing if you are but I would expect nothing less from a disruptor rather than a rational thinker, fruitcake?
Easy target a former EFL club living through hard times, crap headlines go with the territory I’m afraid.
The championship with Wharton!
Don’t recall the club almost folding when Wharton took us to the Championship, remember Sharp and Hooper being sold around that period to enable us to operate in a more sustainable way because of the difficulties running a small club at a higher level, which was sensible. Football clubs aren’t like families when kids leave home and they realise bank of dad is what kept them going without all those years.
