Your recollection is pretty shite then Ironawe, Wharton threatened to liquidate the club if no one come forward to buy the club.
Don’t you recall the £5.500.000 wage bill in 2010/11 season that would bring a loss of nigh on £2 million the next, or the £3.7 million wage bill the next season with revenue of only of £3.200.000.
Then he left the club with loans to repay, wasn’t the kids who left home it was daddy.

Didn’t find it on club accounts they seem to be showing Chesterfields for that era God knows why, but a quick search elsewhere soon brings it up.

So are you saying Wharton left the club in a worse financial state when he left than Swann or Hilton? Quite astonishing if you are but I would expect nothing less from a disruptor rather than a rational thinker, fruitcake?

Easy target a former EFL club living through hard times, crap headlines go with the territory I’m afraid.

    The championship with Wharton!

Don’t recall the club almost folding when Wharton took us to the Championship, remember Sharp and Hooper being sold around that period to enable us to operate in a more sustainable way because of the difficulties running a small club at a higher level, which was sensible. Football clubs aren’t like families when kids leave home and they realise bank of dad is what kept them going without all those years.

Won some good headers and his first touch lay offs for a big man were excellent. We have found a way of playing to his strengths and he just lacks a couple more goals to give him a 7 out of 10 rating for his contributions this season IMO.

Regulation win today , very comfortable and as Awaywego says the second half despite no goals was more entertaining. Their keeper apparently has kept 14 clean sheets this season which for a lower mid table side is very commendable, he was the difference between 2-0 and 5-0. Onwards to Radcliffe, just need to be as professional as today for the next 5 games.

Pretty sure he said on yesterday’s Humberside interview he has had a setback and won’t be in the squad.

Carlton or Beck to start then.

Rose out for another 2 weeks or so. Another start for Kelly at right back I’m guessing.

FFS, he’s not coming back at all is he?!

?Looking like they may have flogged him (provisionally) on the Q.T.?
?With a clause by the buying club excluding him from the remaining games?

Can’t see that happening Rene he’s just not fit, medial ligaments can be a problem and don’t always respond the same to treatment from player to player, he’s toast as an Iron player IMO.

I said as much when he first got injured, we can win it without him but we don’t need any more injuries.

I’m guessing the ” mostly” comment referred to the coked up bell end on the half time mic, he won’t mention the FC100000 because Michelle discussed it on the radio and on the website and he wont want any association with it now, that is bad PR.

We aren’t a viable business Rene or have you forgot? The board have acted quickly to get some early PR in after the crap show of the last few days while showing some solidarity at least to our struggling steel workers. If you don’t want to hand them a bit of slack because of recent events that’s your choice but personally we need to help our football club survive and any attempt to forge a bit of unity and get some early cash into the coffers is fine by me.

The original talks between government and owners was for a half a billion hand out but it is now a billion being asked for. Just shows what the actions of an orange faced idiot can do.

Not sure how any Scunthonian can still back Trump with his industry killing tariffs.

Many old school Republicans in the US Senate also voicing concerns over the tariff policy, just when the world markets and countries economies are trying to recover post Covid, this orange faced bell end gets voted into office.

How long would you offer free tickets to steelworkers for CMC, just a one off gesture this week or until the steelworks shut?

For this game. Pack the park, what have they got to lose?

Absolutely nothing on a one off game showing goodwill to the steel working force of our town, also good PR after the debacle of the last few days regarding future club funding.

£50k a month were his calculations

Aye but that’s after his Sherbet nostril booster, it’ll be nearer 60k in the real world.

Wishful thinking regarding him staying I think. Every right for him to cash in on a brilliant, injury-free season. L2 move at least.

Well we wouldn’t want to stand in his way blah blah blah and in this instance we can’t afford too anyway, hope he gets a cracking well paid move he deserves it on this season’s showing.

I’m guessing plain clothes officers will be in the crowd checking for coke heads and dealing. Different thing at Glastonbury where everything is contained more but fueled up idiots wandering into town after the gig is a different matter.

There was nothing wrong with the mic for a normal person addressing the crowd in a normal way, he should leave the mic alone for a bit and check his rehab appointment.

Sounds like the whole board made a mistake by being secretive, think people should give Gareth the benefit of the doubt, as CBRP says he seems a genuine guy who love’s the Iron as we all do.

That was the start of my dislike of how the club was run and still to this day I seem to have that chip on my shoulder lol.

Give over you were born with a chip on your shoulder, nowt to do with the Iron. If you were sat on your own sofa in your front room watching a TV debate all on your own, you’d fall out with yourself and probably knock your own teeth out, lol.

If Zanetti does a few lines up his hooter before KO he could win it on his own, just scream over modulated obscenities into a mic then kick the ball into the Cleethorpes empty net when their entire team collapses from deafness and nausea.

Sounded like a bigger version of the 1899 scheme, didn’t really want to go into too much detail did he about what happens to the money paid in if things go tits up. 750 members already since Saturday, really, if that’s the case what figure do they get to till the website suddenly disappears along with the money?, like you would sign up to a monthly subscription without actually knowing what’s coming and who with, no thanks mate if we go under we will go under with dignity not because of another snake oil salesman.

    Someone stated he’s on £1500 a week – £78k plus bonuses a year.
    VFM?

It’s ok the new funding model will pay his wages in full in less than 2 weeks next season, lol.
