BRI-“Think about that before lecturing us on what we should and shouldn’t argue.”
The trouble is BRI you’re saying don’t lecture us when YOU ARE lecturing j.charles!!

I think if you read the re!event posts Mr Christian you would realise that BRI was responding to the charge of ” do your bloody research “, which he has done by proving j charles wrong. The only thing BRI can be accused of is putting people right who don’t do their research. It is quite extraordinary that you try and undermine the anti racist agenda with such an ” un Christian ” view of this issue.

I noticed before the England v France rugby international on Sunday that some players took a knee in the lineups and others didn’t, it should be a personal choice but booing either action should be criticised IMO. Also it was noticeable that no mention of the discrepancies between the players choosing their own method of respect was discussed and of course not a boo was heard from 2000 rugby fans. Well done guys all round.

When it comes to resting players we are no different to Colchester or any other team playing Saturday/Tuesday. It depends more on how many of the better plays are fit to start on both sides, sounds like VanVeen won’t be risked so it will be a case of the fit and freshest players giving it their all against a good Colchester side. Maybe they will have injury problems to some of their good players which would be a bonus for us. Pick your fittest freshest side Coxy and hopefully in a 4-4-2 if possible and give it a good go. What else can you do? UP THE IRON.

BS I remember Charlie Williams talking about his football career in his comedy routine. Personal favourite, ” I wasn’t very good at playing football but I could stop them that were “. Classic fifties centre back comment, wonderful.

Anyone remember Man U getting battered at Southampton many seasons back and Ferguson blamed their drab grey away kit for the defeat? Too hard to pick out team mates properly on the pitch apparently, what a load of cock and one of the most successful managers ever was quite rightly pilloried in the press and the football world in general. It’s just a preference thing and I like the white away kit but we are a claret and blue club, one of only four out of the ninety two in the professional game, let’s keep our traditional kit for home games and be proud of our identity.

As usual the performance will be down to the manager picking the correct system with the players selected playing in their correct positions. It sounds easy enough but the reality at home this season would suggest it seems rather difficult from a managerial perspective. Over to you Mr Cox.

You need to open your eyes a bit more WG if you don’t think racism isn’t still a massive problem in all levels of our society still.

Look at all the sexual abuse that was known about and tolerated by clubs for all those years on those poor young players and their trusting families. Football is a shit show which reflects our racist, sexist society and it’s gonna take a long long time to put right.

Probably attain tier 2 just in time for the cods away. No time to sell tickets so will be pay on the day.

No way you will get in the Cods always in tier 2, 2000 fans maximum which means all Cod heads and no away fans as a result. Try and keep up.

Reckon we’re into Ferrite’s “chicken and egg” territory now Mick!

How about an omelette as a compromise, with fried bacon topping plus cheese of course.

I’m sorry I drove you to such excitement IA!

You’re right to a point but footballers only have so much energy – why waste it on fruitless runs into the box when you know the ball isn’t going to come?

Because fruitless runs into the box are part of a forwards job. Lineker said that nine out of ten runs into the box got him nothing but the tenth got him a goal, gambling, taking a chance, busting a gut to get there is all part of the job description. Does Eisa never put a ball into the box from open play?, answer is no, it’s the forwards job to gamble and also bend Eisas ear occasionally on service for him in the box. Not got the energy!!!! that isn’t even an argument, they are bloody professional footballers FFS.

Times change Alcy, things improve, these vaccines are being developed by many countries throughout the world using all the latest techniques and testing programs but hey you stick in the 19th century with your mate Mogg and fester along as usual. Man of your age won’t have many chances left to take but of course it’s your choice.

Chicken and egg Cass – who’s going to make the run if they know the cross won’t come?

Disagree with this, if you are a forward you should bust a gut every time to make a run into the box hoping for the cross, it’s your job it’s what you get paid for its called being a professional footballer. The most successful forwards gamble all the time on making runs which sometimes are fruitless, ours should be no different.
