Nothing you or I cannot ,I think they would add a certain amount of “trust” to any attempt at raising funds for the acquisition of the ground as they have friends in low /high places that any individual might not have.
This would be a good use of the trust in my opinion ,other than just fund raising for a wild aim that nobody is sure about where to send funds or what they can be for.I think if it’s possible a community owned ground would solve a lot of issues but the for sale boards are not up in an open market as yet as I see it.
The irons financial state is an issue right now now but the club going bust is one thing but the ground in private hands leaves them very vulnerable .a publicly owned ground in trust is a huge safety net which would always have a home for a club bearing our name.
At present Swann is trying to sell as a whole so this option isn’t available
