And Blyth v Wrexham.
Was spending big bucks on architects fees before securing the land and planning permission sensible?

Probably agent greed scuppered it this time, but he’ll be off in January to a league club IF he continues scoring. So a significant risk for Joe and his agent. I’ll bet Mr. and Mrs. S. are livid though at £100k slipping through their fingers.
£500,000 is also 6 figures.
From NL News:-
“Iron striker Joe Nuttall is set to stay at the club for the immediate future having turned down a move to National League club Oldham Athletic.
It is understood a six figure fee was agreed between the two clubs for Nuttall, who is out of contract at the end of this season however the two parties could not agree personal terms.”New contract here or waiting for a league club in January?
It is stated that he promised this that and the other, that his sole intention was to develop the land on which the ground stands, that he doesn’t care about the club or the fans. All wrong.
So tell us one thing that he has promised that has actually happened.
You’ll probably feel at home.
Awaywego, talk sense, when did we last win away from home, when did we last win a Cup game home or away.
Ask us again after tomorrow mick.
Although it will probably be the same answer thinking about it.
We live in hope (It’s all we’ve got most of the time)
All those years we’ve dreamed about getting to the 3rd round of the FA Cup, now we’re hoping to get to the 1st round.1 user thanked author for this post.
Pedantic? Alphabetical order? Yeovil – York.

Butterfield’s lack of challenge when the ball was his to win cost us the first goal.
Fair point les, but there were 3 challenges in quick succession and we didn’t win the other 2 either.
We’ve only beaten Yeovil and Dorking, neither were bottom.
No, it’s a technique known as “Not the Premiership so can’t be arsed.” Makes you wonder how they can do a match report and still not see who’s playing where.

Or maybe not!!

Not what the COO is saying:-
UPDATE: Chief operating officer Lee Turnbull has told me that @SUFCOfficial
have received an offer from Oldham Athletic for Joe Nuttall but the striker wants to stay at the club. Turnbull says they want to keep hold of their best players.2 users thanked author for this post.
Has to be a 6 figure fee surely with an agreement he doesn’t play against us.
Players know their own game, their strengths and how to best exploit them, they do it every week. If they are asked to do something different when playing for their country then it should be no surprise if they appear below par.
No comparison I know but we’ve seen similar at GP over recent seasons, square pegs and all that.1 user thanked author for this post.
It’s not 1st April already surely!!!!

Are you his dad?
But his passing is shocking. Surely he’s behind Whitehouse, Fletcher and Gallimore as far as selection goes Running around a lot gets you noticed but, on its own, doesn’t add much to the team if there’s no end product.

Telling us we scored less than 2 goals per home game on average perhaps, but with a positive spin?
In the Iron Bar?
Well it wouldn’t be much fun on here if we all felt the same way. Can’t see any reason why Pugh has returned unless he’s a favourite of Daws and very cheap, not good enough. We have Butterfield, Beestin, Whitehouse, Feeney, Fletcher and Gallimore (we might even have Hallam a few times) so when is he going to play?
Lavery for Carver is a good swap.1 user thanked author for this post.
Should have got a big screen in GP for tomorrows big event. Best chance Mr Swann has to get the ground full.
(I was going to suggest locking the gates and keeping them in until Saturday but that might not be practical, the catering outlets and the toilets wouldn’t cope)It can’t be BadApple, Renee is female and BA wouldn’t make that mistake would he?
A lot of managers believe that defending a lead and managing a game out in the last quarter of the 90 is the best way to go. Unfortunately this involves tactically aware good players who can do this, something we don’t have at present, so while the sentiment is admirable the reality is that when we are on top and winning, keep doing more of the same that got us in that position.
The key to this is the ability to retain the ball, the best way to stop the opposition scoring. A look at our pass success rate, probably no more than 50%, will tell you why game management doesn’t work for us.

Walton has stated, in the past, the importance of a football team to the town. (He might have said a league football team at the time) As with most politicians you have to take that with a pinch of salt, but he could have the chance to back up his statement, under new ownership of course.
Maybe no debts but do we have any assets?

Another weekend at the bottom.
“Which players are ‘bothered’, which ones are only there to pick up their money, which players actually give a damn about the club, which players are too old, too slow, too weak?”
Which players think they are “too good” for NL and therefore don’t have to try very hard as their superior class will get them through.
Swann wrote off a debt of £11m in exchange for the ground, won’t he want to recoup that?
