It’s time for the Trust to stop playing politics.

If it’s led by local politicians what do you expect?

If the plan was to divide the opposition to the owner then it seems to be working.

The focus seems to be on the “bargain” £3.5m for the lot. What if the ‘lot’ includes responsibility for the HMRC debt, the outstanding EFL loan and liability for a couple of months wages (previous Sharpe loan becomes non-repayable maybe?)
Would it look such a bargain then?

I know this won’t be a popular viewpoint, but I’d just ask you to consider this.
If the man who pays your wages instructs you to issue a prepared statement and failure to do so costs you your job, what would YOU do?

It could depend on whether HP needs to get their arrest stats up, they’ll be easier to catch than real criminals. Arrest – Caution – Tick.

Must have missed the fighting back bit of the match !

It was the 90+ minutes when we didn’t have a shot on target, you can’t have missed all of it.

The difference could be that it’s reported that Hardy is heading a consortium rather than acting alone as previously. Might make it more difficult for him to do just as he likes, we’ve had enough of that for sure.

I see we’ve been given the go ahead to offer Lavery a new contract. I hope the striker is to cover Carver’s injury and not the loss of Lavery. Sadly that looks the most likely. £x per week which may or may not be paid versus £2x per week for certain, not a difficult decision is it?

Only their number 8 looked like a footballer.

Bloke sat behind me said the same thing, but IMO he had lots of tricks but no end product?

Fair point, I think he knew he was on his own.

    Phoenix club.
All white kit with C&B trim.

I think I’ve worked out what the DC stands for but I’m struggling with the ‘S’
    Any clues?

I’d like to see them owning the club certainly. As for running it, haven’t we tried that recently?

Decent performance against a team that showed we aren’t the worst team in this league.
Passing still unsatisfactory for me, take out the tippy tappy back 4 stuff and the rest was moderate too often.

Simon & Neil both resigning can’t be a coincidence. Unable to do the job to their own satisfaction? Lee might feel the same but he’s getting paid. Who’s on the board now?

Both of which might suggest that Maidenhead are more likely to score 2 than we are.

Optimistic, we haven’t scored twice in a game since October.

Has to be Joe Murphy, the only keeper that never made a mistake. See if you can find any footage of goals he conceeded and he’ll point out whose fault it was.
Loved Perez, amazed nobody’s mentioned the keeper that turned out to be the best we ever had.

I very much respect your opinion les but offer the following comments re the OP.
    2. Shrimpton had 2 opportunities to provide assists for goals, he hugely overhit both crosses.
    3. Promise from Cam but lacks the physicality/stamina to be influential for 90 minutes at present. Work in progress.
    5. Based on what I saw (wish I was a statistician) I doubt our pass success rate was much over 50% if that. Gave the ball away too easily too often.
    7. He can’t get the best out of Butterfield sadly and failed to see, early enough, that Lavery is not effective as a lone striker. He is also still under the impression that Carver is a footballer.

Well apart from a different goalscorer it was same old same old. We kept the lead for 7 minutes, bang avereage based on the previous 4 defeats. So still nothing has been learned, scoring first used to be an important factor in how a game panned out, not for us seemingly.

Any idea why we didn’t give notts county and chesterfield more tickets to bring more money in to lessen the burden?

You weren’t very supportive when I suggested that.

Either way, the point is that just saying none of the club’s money was involved does not absolve Swann of responsibility.

He has said plenty over the years, was it all true?
