I’m detecting a touch of cynicism there Cass. Not like you.

Not far wide of the mark was it?

” we can’t keep sacking managers but we seriously need an experienced head at the helm to give us the best chance of staying up.”

You might well be right, didn’t work so well down the road though. Personally I’m disappointed with the apparent lack of input from Lillis, surely he’s been around long enough to see the problems, he can’t have forgotten how to play if you want to score goals.

Still expecting 4-1-4-1 described as 4-3-3 to pretend we have some attacking intent.

Don’t be surprised if you see three at the back tomorrow.

I reckon 4-1-4-1 with one of the left footed CBs playing on the right.
    Maybe:-
    Howard
    Clarke Taft Bedeau O’Malley
    Karacan
    Gilliead Beestin Spence Eisa/Hippolyte
    Loft

Whilst we have KVV, Loft, Jarvis, Olomola and KDT on the books it’s hard to see anything but a short term loan to cover the injuries. It might be different if we could move a couple on but Olomola is crocked and, based on what we’ve seen so far, getting somebody to take Jarvis and KDT will be, shall we say, ‘difficult’.

He’ll be Ok here, if we stopped picking players who made a serious error we wouldn’t be able to field eleven.

Oooooooooooooooo! Surely not, they’ve all (well some of them) been here for several years so they must be doing OK. After all look at our success recently.

” so which playing positions are more than being fully covered,”

Butroid is only 4th choice LB barton so we’re OK there.

It is claimed he has demonstrated ‘leadership’ as he has worked together with the squad.
Him in with both Taylor and Vincent gone is good news.
Hmm. Any other loanees who might go do we reckon?

Can’t let Cordner go without another CB in can we?

I agree Ferrite, but if he’s contracted until summer at Vale then a short term contract here would seem unlikely.

Just another 7 or 8 to move out then? Come on Bournemouth – what are you waiting for?

Back to the consistency issue. Enough of the ‘1 good game in 5’ boys coincided on Tuesday but were back to NL level today. Either we get a some better players in (or fit) this month (unlikely) or it’ll be another few games before we get any more points.

I think you’re being a bit harsh, he was only 50/50 to play today. With the lack of alternatives available it’s possible he played less than 100% fit.

I think some of the football on offer could have helped with the insomnia.

Looks like Gilliead could be set for a stint in CM with Green given a go out wide. I agree it’s time to give Dales a chance and if McAtee gets picked ahead of him I’ll be very disappointed. Too early to write KDT off? Lets hope he’s got something to offer.

Cassidy, before he came to us he made one, yes ONE appearance at Shrewsbury and has come here and scored 4/5 goals now he thinks he’s destined for the premier league.

It’s McAtee that needs that pointing out, not me!

Yes I think they’ll be aiming higher than that. Might depend on how much cash the new owners have to splash but doubtful another L2 club will have much appeal for players with the talent they think they have.

I agree les, Eisa does show some intent when he plays. McAtee an absolute disgrace, I don’t understand how he thinks his current behaviour and lack of involvement is going to secure him any move, let alone the big one that his agent must have promised. You have to be an exceptional player to get away with a terrible attitude and he’s certainly not that. Shouldn’t take a genius to work that out, can he really be completely unaware of how lucky he is to be a professional footballer.

Very happy to be proved wrong. (Mrs CT less happy as she thought she had exclusive rights to doing that)
Howard – might not be everybody’s cup of tea but, had that penalty gone in I reckon we’d have lost. Well done Mark!!
McAtee – might as well have put Watson up front, I’ll be very disappointed if he’s in the squad on Saturday. Step forward TuranTuran.

I’d have been tempted to play Rowe before Cordner and play him or Clarke at CB, both done it before.

We can only comment on what we’ve seen les, not what might be. For example, as I’ve said previously, Loft has scored a couple of goals that not many L2 players would have so he clearly has some ability. On the contrary – Jarvis?????

Hope you’re right KI, I don’t think we have a ‘nil’ defence available though.
