And Bedeau. (No option to edit)
There’s little doubt that the majority we release will head for the NL, although many of them are young enough to get another crack at the EFL if they’re good enough.
I am, however, very interested to see at what level KVV, Eisa, McGahey, Gilliead and Karacan are playing next season and how regularly they start.Look forward to Cox putting his own stamp on the squad. UTI!
Aren’t we all, what are the chances that he’ll be allowed to do it?
McAtee to Grimsby? (More likely than Newcastle)
I didn’t realise that Peter and Leanne had reached those heights.

Incredible!! How many starts between them this season? One seldom fit and one seldom picked when he is fit.
Agree with mick about those that turned down reduced contracts, might want to reconsider if nothing better turns up. To be fair none of them have done enough this season to command big money and there’ll be masses of competition for jobs. 72 EFL clubs reducing their squads by say an average of 8-10 means players from a 3rd bottom L2 club won’t be among the most desirable on offerBack as player/GK coach would be good, too expensive probably as we’d still need another keeper IMO.
Some years ago when North Lincs had a labour council, I emailed the then leader telling him he wasn’t listening and was risking defeat. He did not bother to respond.
Lost the next election. So it’s not just Mr Swann then, does anybody reply to your correspondence? Are you sure you’re using the correct addresses?

I feel the same as you and completely agree, I was going to give it one more season because I may give the car up in another year because I have got problems with dry eyes and it is severe in my left one, I can see OK but it is really irritating, and still don’t know what it would be like watching live football.
Sorry to hear that mick, sad to say you’ll get more sympathy on here than from the club who clearly have little regard for long standing supporters. Luckily they have impressive plans in place to attract hundreds if not thousands of new, young fans to replace…. oh, hang on – no that’s somebody else, sorry.

I believe (but I’m not certain) that there are rules preventing a football club owner also being the manager. Can anybody think of a way to get around any such rule?
If he has to go then it must be now. It’s still unclear how much input he and previous managers had in player recruitment. If he goes 10 games into the new season then we’ll be back to square one (again) with a new manager and a squad full of players that aren’t ‘his’ together with a chief scout that maybe he doesn’t want.

More likely young, inexperienced players thrown straight into the first team because there’s nowhere else for them to go and play. Unless, of course, they go the ‘Mooney route’ and immediately send them out on loan where they bench warm in the NL never to be seen again.
It seems that they are appealing because there is no relegation from the NL. They appear to have overlooked the fact that there is promotion from the NL to the EFL. How would they propose that is dealt with?
” we don’t play too bad ”
mick, how can you say that! Your posts are usually sensible but you’ve let yourself down a bit with that comment.

Well another terrific nil Neil! Still as long as you’re disappointed and the players in the dressing room are hurting then I suppose us supporters should be satisfied.

Interesting team selection.
No sign of KVV, Gilliead & Eisa who we all expect to be away, but McGahey plays. Do we read anything in to that?
Howe & Howard? Manager still undecided?
Beestin & Spence play to determine how much we need to offer Karacan?
McAtee is surely in the last chance saloon, has he realised that his best chance of a contract could be here? Does he care?
More questions than answers – sorry!2 users thanked author for this post.
This is puzzling for somebody, like myself, with minimal experience in the world of big business.
1. Four L1 clubs are interested in Bedeau (allegedly)
2. He is OOC in the summer and can leave for nothing
3. It is reported (see article) that we “can’t afford” to take up a 1 year contract extension.
Now this is what I don’t understand – if we took up the option we could then demand a fee for his transfer which would suggest we can’t afford not to take up the option. Unless, of course, these clubs are only interested in him if he’s on a free or (surely not) the report was generated by his agent to try and get the 1 year extension because he can’t find another club for his client.1 user thanked author for this post.
According to Cox’s latest interview he will be speaking to all out of contract players on Monday, possible offers to replace the previously withdrawn ones? Or just to say thankyou and goodbye??
Will probably depend on what decisions the committee come to over the weekend. Would be nice if Cox had some input wouldn’t it?
I believe that The Iron Trust invited members to forward questions to be raised at the meeting. Don’t think that shareholders matter to the board, season ticket holders aren’t a unit and there are too many angry fans to be asked. Maybe contact the group you’re a member of and ask why you weren’t consulted.
Why is peter having zoom meeting tonight with some supporter group’s.
ALL FANS MATTER
Why not invite all fans.
This is a very important time in the clubs history. No shareholders meeting.
Just treating fans like muck.
If the fans do protest on Saturday it his own fault.VERY ANGRY FANNot another one!!!!!!!!!!!
If you’re that interested in the club then why don’t you give your support to one of the SUPPORTER groups?Them as can – do
Them as can’t – teach
Them as can’t teach – coach at Scunny? If you had bothered to join NLI you would be fully aware of what action is being and has been taken. You didn’t offer your support to the Trust but now you want their help?

I started taking my kids when they were 8 or 9. They are now in their 30s, have given up on iplayer and are extremely unlikely to return to GP. Whilst finance is a consideration it’s not the main reason. Unfortunately I can’t help myself.
Such a shame that we’re equally disappointed at the end of both.

If you are referring to the Iron Trust they probably don’t know that it’s them you’re talking about.
” Put it this way if we were offered a 20+ goals a season striker in the summer with a bit of an attitude at times, would we turn him down?”
Not much chance of that I-a. 20+ strikers from NL North & South will be a 6 figure purchase, well beyond our revised budget and any OOC from the EFL will demand a salary beyond our means. That’s why we got Mooney, Jarvis & KDT last time, they won’t get 20 league goals between them in their combined careers.
Players holding out for a new contract on an equivalent wage in August will be cheaper in January. Covid will have had a major impact on available funds in most L1 & L2 and some Championship clubs and the players will have to tell their agents to be realistic or end up being unemployed.
Are they putting players on Ebay yet?
“Our own signings must: have no worrying injury record”
Not an easy one les, Onariase came injured but seems to have been pretty much injury free prior to that. It seems that his body has found adjusting to league football difficult hence his stop/start season. As they say about all risky investments “Past performance is no guarantee for the future”
Your opinions and suggestions are sound, will anybody take any notice? He’s not about today. Still trying to work out why he’s positive and optimistic.
