Contract offers should be for 21 days only to guarantee the terms offered.
Our management need to have their squad assembled as soon as possible.
It was used on the Beach Towel I believe.
Went down the other day and thought the volunteers have done a cracking job tbh.
It’s to Peter Swann’s embarrassment that he allowed to run it down to such a state after pumping X amount of millions in over the years and supposedly being a hospitality expert.
Paint job looks spot on. Wait until the solar panelling is on, Cliff. The stadium will be positively space age !. I can’t quite believe the stadium is going to look the best it’s looked since it was freshly built, after nearly going out of business.
Crazy really. The speed of progression is staggering.
And what a broom. The fans are buying into the project of club sustainability and looking forward to the fjuture.

Those regularly injured should have gone. We cannot afford them and why I would have kept Tom Pugh.
Some players will come here as their 1st choice at the moment we are a better prospect for league success. That is why our attitude in all games from 1st friendly to last league must be to WIN. No setting up to cope with others, go at opponents from 1st whistle.
Being saying for over a decade – ‘The fans want to be involved’. But Mr Swan actually said at a forum turn up, buy a pie and a pint watch the football and then go home’ !!
Now Michelle and the Board want the fans to really be a part of the club and look at the difference. The only thing the fans want is to see THEIR club fighting back and them being wanted. Perhaps money is short for some but they have spare time now and again. Offer them a paint brush or soapy water to wash the seats – they will be there.
And got any ideas then send them into the club you never know they may have overlooked something similar.
Announced on Peterborough web site.
Available for Transfer – Kai Corbett. Usual method they employ he has 1 yr left.
Was an outstanding prospect like Cam Wilson. So don’t know what has happened good luck to them both.

Poulter liked some others probably demoralized. Pugh a better squad player than such as Beestin and Alf did seem more injured than Tom.
Tom Pugh will do fine and hopefully Hereford will move quickly because his influence was immediate when they signed him.
There wasn’t just wasting money but JD was backed.
A great podcast and I hope the season starts with 1/ An attack minded approach with 2 up top the majority of time. I also expect the teams instructions to be too win ALL games. No targeting, No tip tap passing and the basics being greatly improved – can’t pass a ball then you do not played.

As many say Congratulations to the 3. Fun as usual and hopefully it will be run again next season where we can all battle away yet again.
Enjoy the rest. And thank you to Iron Bru.

Until we find out we are all wrong or fortuitously correct we can have a guess.
So what about a 41 yr old. Midfield/attacker, played in all English Leagues, done his coaching badges, worked at several levels of academy football and managed in div 2.
And the kitman – ‘Cheesy’ ?
May I introduce ‘The Postman’.A raffle rather than an auction might be a fairer option, otherwise the bidding price will quickly put it out of reach of a lot of people.
Good idea Ferrite.

Hopefully he does well at Nottingham Forest his boyhood club
Is his new job more coaching based ?
Hope Fin and Tom are here for 2024/2025 season. Both show they are more than capable when selected by someone who knows what they are doing.
Fit and hard working.

Suitably reprimanded.
His choice I understand. Best wishes to him wherever he goes, team always looked very smart and that is down to him and any who help out.
Just heard Stanton has gone.
Just posted that. We need a kitman.
Like Bish but not experienced enough.
Kevin Philips – experienced coach, then managed South Shields was recently doing a decent job at Hartlepool. Was due to extend but board suddenly appointed Darren Sarl.
So you would think CT. Another name – Kevin Philips recently released by Hartlepool, a surprise to many of their fans.
What happened to Clarke and Corbett ?
Then having not played a goalkeeper as a sub ALL season in a must win game he picks one and reduces his playing options from the bench. Sadly I think that showed his negativity and it will not improve.

Seems several suffered under the ID regime. Most players who got criticized seemed to get blamed for poor passing, cannot be a coincidence.
It is NOT James Moodys job to make statements. He does as instructed by Michelle and the Board.
He does an incredible job and in its darkest hour did everything possible to keep this club within the rules, the previous deadbeat owner deserted him and the staff.

A chance to further reverse the decline has been lost.
What happens next season based on the 1st decision the board will make. When you everyones comments virtually all say thank you but a different attitude is needed in the dugout. As others say if JD stays and the squad are his choices then should the axe fall the new person will have to work with what is there with possibly a couple of signings of support.
Big decisions.
Coach/Management – only retain Andy Butler. New manager who lines up for teams to deal with us. Play 2 up top at home. Has ability to change playing style if it is needed.
Basics to be improved – PASSING being the priority. Passing for the sake of it eradicated. Squad recruitment based on structured 1 yr, 2 yrs and 3 yrs contracts which should end 18 in and 18 out – stability being the aim.
The office people – busier we get then new faces will arrive but I think James and his gang deserve support for everything they did in trying times.
The board will evolve and you never know a Euro winner may materialise and give the club a boost.
Over the decades, in fact from the 1960’s Scunthorpe United has suffered with fickle fans.
It will happen again so damage limitation must be looked at. It is great that some have been motivated to return but they also want to see entertaining football. They want to see their team want to win games and not look to draw games !
1 striker at home is not acceptable. There is a lot of goodwill out there, now is not the time ignore it.

I believe Mr Whoever he was brought him in to fail and we went into NLN. I also think the plan was working for the “Do you remember Scunthorpe United ? What season did they disappear ?
Luckily Michelle and the others who joined the board thought on their feet and tapped into the fans enthusiasm. JD kept his job but to maintain the fans enthusiasm a rethink is needed and the attitude of the football become more entertaining, attacking. I don’t think the present management team can do it.

If it happens or if it doesn’t we need to play we’re going to score one more than you football. No negative one up top rubbish, let’s set our stall out from the off and if Jimmys learnt owt from this season then I would back him but if not he will have to be replaced by ? . The board will decide.
But has he learned. Judging all the comments the first half we dealt with them, he even said that. Substitutions and the timing of – yet again said same old same old !
He put a team out against a team that earlier in the week had played 120 minutes, he had square pegs in round holes and having played all season with one keeper listed he puts a new recruit on the bench and reduced his replacement options. Where was Pugh or Corbett – that could have been the option that was required.
1 striker at home is a certain NO and criminal in a must win game that could have then boosted the fortunes with a promotion that many thought would never happen again if the club had disappeared.

We can only “offload” players under contract if the player agrees.

That usually involves the new club offering at least as much cash and being in an agreeable location.I remember Hurst being ‘instructed” to get rid of underperforming high earners. Amazingly he couldn’t find anyone daft enough to pay the likes of Perch 4 grand a week.
He wanted to sign Lennell John Lewis an pay him £1000 a week – he had been out for 11 months recovering from an ACL !
Speaking of Denton, JD was ‘pleased’ with his injury because he will start the new season without an op.
I wondered what this might have revealed about the futures of both men.
Does it also suggest that there has already been a lot of negotiating underway?I picked that up as well, seemed to be a slip.
Need to listen to the fans.
Everyone has the same thought. I have listened to many of his interviews – it is painful, all I get is we seem to set up to deal with opponents home or away.
1 up front is a disgrace and the management have not dealt with one of the most basic needs of any player – how many people mention the poor quality passing. If they struggle with that there is no chance. Team selection seems hit and miss and so many say there is no plan B assuming there is a plan A.
Hope the board read many fans comments they cannot be all wrong.
