Great shame and I can only wish him the best. Don’t think we have got the best from him, hope Mr Greening uses him more on the right.

March 16, 2024 at 11:12 am #282792If we didn’t get the best from him more down to him than anyone else, star of pre season then failed to deliver since where it matters, to lightweight gets bullied to easily, such a shame one of the most talked about early days when in the youth team.
Lets hope he impresses there for himself, definitely needs binning next season.1 user thanked author for this post.
March 16, 2024 at 11:15 am #282793He had to go somewhere, when the club is signing a lad on loan from Peterborough who’s played 1 League game, then Wilson knows he isn’t getting a look in.
I like Wilson and hope he has a good loan spell. Who knows it could be a good move if he comes back match fit for the playoffs.2 users thanked author for this post.

Good point, there’s a few players who’ve shown promise but aren’t doing under this “manager”!
March 16, 2024 at 1:13 pm #282796Not really had a look-in since lazily giving the ball away which led to the late Blyth equaliser.

March 16, 2024 at 1:32 pm #282799definitely needs binning next season.
Personally I’d bin the coaching staff before him!

March 16, 2024 at 1:41 pm #282800Billy big shoes wanted away last season couldn’t find a club and luckily for him we took him back on you tell me where he deserved to have a place here I haven’t seen it.
Once on that pitch it’s up to him and not Dean how well he plays in the sence that hes supposed to dribble skin the opposition get in a good cross or go for it himself it just ain’t happened since pre season.2 users thanked author for this post.
March 18, 2024 at 9:27 am #282860Good luck to him, clearly the manager doesn’t rate him, I think a permanent move would do him good.
March 18, 2024 at 1:45 pm #282863Wilson needs to take it upon himself to work on his physique/strength as he far too lightweight. I will however say there is definitely a player in there, no lacking of talent, but lacks any real kind of consistency.
One thing he needs is game time. If we had the money as a club I’d sign him to another 1yr contract and loan him out, but we can’t afford to do that so he’ll probably move on come the end of the season.
March 18, 2024 at 2:58 pm #282867When he was playing in the U23s he came up against some tough championship defenders – he didn’t back out and they didn’t frighten him.
Just don’t like what has happened to him, if he moves I will wish him the best and hope he comes up against those that have not helped him.

Wilson has had game time though and hasn’t really delivered.
March 19, 2024 at 8:04 am #282878Will agree, just don’t know what has gone wrong. He was the out for any pass from midfield and then drove forward. It is as though it has all been coached out of him and at that age if they don’t do as told they inhabit the wastelands.
Great shame.
March 19, 2024 at 11:12 am #282881Like most players who have gone out on loan they have improved their performances.I wonder why ? Surely it can’t have anything to do with the way they were managed here
March 19, 2024 at 1:39 pm #282886I agree with you Premier Iron.
March 19, 2024 at 8:26 pm #282909I expect he’ll go there full time if he impresses, Scarborough are a well run club and he could put himself in the shop window instead of being on the fringes.

Shrimpton
Wilson
never really got a look in never mind a run of games as i thought the first two were and are worthy of it , Wilson has always looked somewhat uninterested when given any chance to impact a game off the bench and did want away end of last season until the takeover etc…so wasnt surprised at him going out on loan… Ross n Finn i was.Hopefully these players will all do well whilst away and come back better that appears to have been the case with Pugh and DSF.

March 29, 2024 at 6:25 pm #283378Least said about today’s Kings Lynn match the better.
Meanwhile Cam Wilson scores and gets man of the match for Scarborough….1 user thanked author for this post.
March 29, 2024 at 9:35 pm #283393I have said the same before about fringe players going out and staring for other teams in this league. The latest being Wilson. It highlights just what a strong squad Jimmy has had at his disposal this season.
It begs the question what would have happened with this group of players if we had a really tactically astute manager who knew this level inside out.
Other managers get a tune out of our players who can’t even make the team. Pugh has come back and looks 10 times worse than he did when he was at Hereford. Shrimpton is considered as one of Spennymoor’s key players and Wilson is turning it on for Scarborough.
Even Richie Bennett is on the verge of hitting double figures for Southport and he hasn’t been there that long.
March 29, 2024 at 11:38 pm #283397“Wilson has had game time though and hasn’t really delivered”.
You could say that about 75% of the squad!

May 3, 2024 at 1:58 pm #285248Not worthy of a contract with us
Poor attitude and lazy.. no thanks
Scarborough can have him!

May 3, 2024 at 4:46 pm #285283Good player. Bags of potential but … I can see exactly why Steve feels as he does. If the lad has learned a bit of professionalism he might be a belting signing for Scarboro or whomsoever.
May 3, 2024 at 5:13 pm #285288When he first made the side I really liked him as a player with a good attitude, I thought he would become a great asset to us but the longer it went on the more he seemed to represent a young player with a chip on his shoulder. I think he fell out of love playing for us for some reason but I hope he makes it at Scarborough, still great potential IMO.
May 3, 2024 at 5:28 pm #285294I wish him well, got the potential and had a good start to the season but has shown before he can cut it
May 3, 2024 at 5:33 pm #285298After showing promise last season his perceived ‘success’ seemed to go to his head. It appeared that he was expecting to be snapped up by a higher club and, when that didn’t materialise, he re-signed for us and downed tools. Talented and has time to come again but needs to lose the attitude and realise the need to work at his game and not just rely on ability alone.
May 3, 2024 at 5:51 pm #285303Has he actually gone ?
May 3, 2024 at 8:04 pm #285318No surprise.
Pugh to go?
Poulter?May 3, 2024 at 8:08 pm #285321about time really .. never peaked n dodgy attitude .. just being a Scunny lad int enough
May 3, 2024 at 8:13 pm #285324Butler says we’re going to be the fittest side in the league so players such as Pugh and Shrimpton could be back in favour.
May 3, 2024 at 8:17 pm #285326FFS never mind Wilson get rid of Muzzy hes a salary leech ..
