You could tell after five minutes this was going to be a nil-nil.
With two poor forward lines the only way either side was going to score was from a mistake or a set piece.
We’re better organised under Hill. We press more and are generally harder to beat, but we create very, very few chances. Our one and only corner came in the last minute, and it didn’t beat the first defender.
On a positive note our young midfielders did not look fazed and with a bit more composure Gallimore could have got the winner. Hippo caused them problems (have I really just said that) and Bunn looked like he could add an extra dimension if he stays fit. Apart from a couple of sliced clearances Rory commanded his box well. Taft was no miss second half. I don’t know how he did his groin, he didn’t exactly exert himself in the first 45.
But we desperately need goals from somewhere.
Three good signings in January and we might have a chance.

Going on the basis that I’ll be there to witness it, 2-0 Pools!
That would suggest that no one has been managing finances previously.
Les, as shown tonight there is more than one turd in the squad that Hill needs to polish.
Good that Hippo has turned it around, but we need at least a dozen more transformations if we’re to climb off the bottom.
At least Carlisle and Oldham are keeping us company.
Can’t believe Green gets the nod ahead of Scrimshaw or even Loft. Or even the club cat.
Surprised it took 45 minutes!

We are only 16 points off the play-offs !
That’ll be the 16 we’ve chucked away after being in a winning/drawing position.

I suspect it’s his agent filling is head full of absolute crap and as a result he thinks he’s way better then what he is
Seems like there’s a lot of it about!
And we won’t win, so business as usual!

I think the argument is no so much about Wilson’s ability, but more about the fact that he hasn’t been given a chance to show if he has any.

I feel that we should be targeting a minimum of 48 points
Arrrgh! Not the dreaded “targeting” word.
Let’s just try to win every game and see where that takes us

Yes indeed. Came on as a sub midweek and got Stockport’s fifth goal in added time.
Another ex-striker I wish we had now!

Hold the front page!

More positive results would help!

With half a dozen ex-Irons in their squad Bradford will be up for it. Levi Sutton is bigging it up as a “must win game”.
I would have gone for our traditional 0-0, but I reckon they’ll edge it.
Nowt wrong with introducing the likes of Wilson for the last 15/20 minutes.
Particularly if we’re after a goal, which we usually are!

November 25, 2021 at 10:03 am in reply to: Review calls for radical shake up of English football #218460Once again the emphasis is on the PL, it’s as though nothing matters outside of it.

Carlisle signed Howard on about seven games ago, six have been defeats.
Four out of their last seven have been clean sheets and Howard played in all of them.
So not as bad as you’d have us believe!

Hopefully the pillock in the stand will be given a banning order.

Coat, hat, gloves, scarf!
Just knew when the fixtures came out it would be December or January.
Remember my son and I setting off one year around Christmas/New Year time only for it to be called off around 1pm. We had only got as far as Newcastle. Others were not so lucky!
Hartlepool next for me
I’d set off now!

Carlisle are doing their best!

Agree Ironawe. Recruitment policy over the past 3/4 seasons has been pretty shocking.

Should add a bit of bite to the team!
We’d qualify for an emergency loan if that were the case.
Interesting how many on here would pick favourites from that team of 69/70/71.
Barnard, Foxton, Barker, Atkin, Deere, Welbourne, Kerr, Keegan, Cassidy, Heath, Davidson (and others).
Never won anything, but they always put in 100% effort and were certainly entertaining.

Thought you were up for a 80s/90s track kisses!
Having listened to the podcast, I certainly hope that he is “The Resurrection”!
