The usual suspects spouting the same old rubbish. Dont you you get fed up of calling people racists because they gave a different veiw of life to you?

All people are asking is for people spouting conspiracy theories about why footballers take the knee, as opposed to the actual reasons which have been stated countless times by the players taking the knee either individually or collectively by their professional association, come forward with evidence to back up their claims. If they can fine, if not, stop posting crap or lies, which ever version you prefer..

Probably means Cass that Coxy was on holiday down Devon and happened to bump into these two lads also with their feet up and begged them to sign because nobody else wanted too. 😂

My point is that there was no burning desire amongst the Portuguese, in fact most only knelt after seeing other team mates do so one by one. As I say even the commentator thought it worthy of comment at the time.

Ok but it doesn’t prove anything other than they chose to take the knee, it’s their right and their choice to do either and there is no evidence that being late going down for the knee was because they were coerced into doing so, which it seems to be what your suggesting, apologies if I misrepresent your post of course.

racial abuse in this country has been virtually eliminated at football grounds up and down the land ,without this neo- Marxist motivated “taking to the knee.”

…and your evidence of it being virtually eliminated is?
..and your evidence that footballer taking the knee is due to neo – Marxist motivation is?

I believe you are offering both opinions with no evidence to support either, the footballers have stated many times in the media over many months both individually and through their professional association why they take the knee.
Their reason for doing so does not fit your agenda here bill.

Whilst your correct that the Belgians and Portuguese players took the knee, the Belgians went down as a man in solidarity whilst the Portuguese went down in instalments. Even the commentator said finally all the Portuguese players kneel !! Just as the Belgians we’re getting back up.

    …and your point is….?

FFS don’t tell Hallam he’s having a medical, he’ll probably roll off the treatment table in terror and break a leg.

Are Bradford still doing their £100 season ticket from a few seasons back? If so maybe that’s a factor but signing quite a few half decent proven league two players up is probably the main reason.

Unlike some people ( eg. Mr Fox ) who try to link the footballers taking the knee to some sort of Marxist anti democracy movement, I prefer to believe what the footballers tell us that it’s about supporting the anti racist movement in sport. Maybe I shouldn’t label Mr Fox in the way I have but his waffle about being a patriot is exposed as such when he makes such ridiculous claims about wanting the English team to lose because they support a just cause. He presents no evidence of his claims yet verbally attacks the players based on just that, he breaks Covid rules ( and openly boasts of such ) and again quotes being patriotic, shades of Hancock there, so I get a little miffed when he prattles on so in such a two faced fashion. Apologies for offending all racists on here I should know my place, thanks JI. BTW what’s your position on why so many International footballers are taking the knee in this current football tournament?

So far it looks like a replacement for McGahey and a replacement for Gilliead but we are miles short of a competent enough squad for league two. Forwards please, competent ones.

Well with England, Scotland, Germany, Belgium and Portugal all taking the knee so far it’s not going too well for you Mr Fox is it? You right wing racist piece of shit. 😂😂😂

What do you reckon Shrimps fans will be labelling us, ” Shrimps Reserves ” or ” Shrimps Rejects “? Either way, welcome young man and may you bring lots of luck with you because next season we shall need it in bucketfuls.

KVV was our own false No. 9 when he played last year, gaining more plaudits for his tackling back than actually spending any time in the opposition’s penalty area.

Incorrect, KVV wasn’t a false no 9, KVV was a false prophet!! That bloody beard made him look like Elijah, real Old Testament stuff, he should relocate to Pennsylvania and join the Amish community. 👀

Grealish changed things, part assist for the first and assist for the second goal, his ability to change things is a great asset for Southgate whether he starts him or uses him off the bench. Sterling has been sensational so far, some fans have a chip on their shoulder about him but for me he scores, he assists and he works hard for the team but well done every player against Germany, they all contributed and special mention for Pickford he was brilliant.

Apart from the performance against a poor Scottish side which was just unacceptable, England have improved their performance in the last two games and that’s all that counts. This is tournament football, you don’t win after one, two or four games you win it after seven and England are improving and getting more confident as a result. Still no goals conceded and now the main striker has finally contributed, if this was a German, French or Italian team people would be saying ” you can see them growing into the tournament game by game, they look a threat “. England are in the right side of the draw to go all the way and they are a threat to any team left in this tournament, no it’s not champagne Brazil type football, it never is with England but it’s winning football based on strength and team work. Other teams will fear playing England now after their management of today’s win over Germany. Nice one guys. 👏👏👏

Pity McMahon isn’t coming in as a replacement for the club clown Cox!!

    Hmm!

Ten games in, Cox and Lillis sacked, McMahon given manager’s job with new U18s coach as assistant.

    Method in the madness?

    Hmm!

Scunny still relegated at end of season, McMahon sacked.
That sounds about right to me, also sounds familiar, sacking managers ad nauseam I mean.

TBF it’s a nice little article about values and bygone times, little rose tinted specs but full of good sentiment and intentions. In truth the model of the club being proposed is the one all lower league clubs should be urged to adopt if they are too survive and it’s not the first time this thing has been tried or mooted. Lincoln are making a pretty good fist of things and seem intent on bringing the community on board, others are following suit and have been for awhile. Whether these guys succeed at GTFC remains to be seen but the idea is right and certainly our current owner seems as distant as ever about wanting such a model at SUFC. Talk is cheap Prawn, actions count, the Grimsby guy is certainly talking the talk ( we’ve had plenty of that in the last 8 years ) but he will be judged by his actions long term. If he pulls it off good luck to him, despite it being our local rivals, every decent sized town deserves a community based football club, it’s still the heart of who we all are, it’s the people’s game, it brings us closer together.

Logistically Bradford should always have a bigger budget then us, it was only Swanns early days spending blitz that saw us outbid Bradford for certain players a few seasons back, McCall said as much on an ” open night meeting ” when he was here. No-one is going to slam Swann for putting the brakes on budget wise from his early days but he appears to have gone from the sublime to the ridiculous and it’s entirely his own fault for his scattergun approach when he first arrived. A Wharton style Chairmanship would have been a more sensible approach, you know, the old guy that ran us ” like a hobby ” but of course Wharton never jumped in with both feet then knicked the ground ownership when he had fu***d up. Good old days anybody?

TBF to McMahon he was a good defender when he was here if a little hot headed at times ( remember Rochdale away anybody? ) so if he coaches in training like he used to play, we may have half a dozen injured before we kick a ball in anger this coming season. 😂
