The £11 million was written off

Until the land gets redeveloped and sold off for a tidy profit. Debt doesn’t disappear just because it gets moved elsewhere, the club will pay the price eventually.

Looks like Jarvis plus the new kid then, unless a big rough sod enters the building. No pun intended Awaywego.

It’s a sedan chair BS and I would tie it behind a Ferrari and point it down towards Dover so you could greet all our immigrant friends coming off the boats from France.

    Yes.
    In the men’s game.
    No, for the women’s game.

    Makes sense to me.

Explain, in your own words please and not with a misogynist or right wing video. Thanks.

Let’s hope Hill said to Swann’s son, ” Piss off up to Blackburn and look at this player I like the look of, tell your Dad you’ve found a little gem and then he’ll sign a player I want “. Oh and ” here’s a fiver, buy yourself some sweets on the way up there, there’s a good little boy “.

Last year’s response then Awaywego, you make a statement laced with sexism, won’t explain your reasoning why but will happily keep posting more of the same. If I didn’t know you better I would say you spent your misspent youth half way up a football ground pylon shouting out insults and spoiling for a fight. Yep, brainless as ever.

    Agree Mick.

It sent alarm bells ringing when we brought on the young academy lad for his debut in replacement for Loft. Looked to have raw talent but in no way should be expected to turn a game around for us- especially one as important as that.

Young Lewis is talented alright but he will only make cameo appearances this season surely, he’s miles off the men’s game physicality wise as was shown when he got brushed off the ball too easily a couple of times yesterday. Not his fault and he’s a gem for the future but too many full games this season could damage his confidence if he keeps getting flattened and losing the ball as a result.

Hallam looked miles off fully fit yesterday when he came on, don’t think we can rely on sick note to come up with the goods. Probably get crocked in training before the Tranmere game.

Didn’t deserve to lose today IMO but we only had three shots on target and we deffo need a striker, possibly two. Would sell Loft in a heartbeat because he’s not consistent enough or fit enough judging by today’s game. Not too down hearted because things are getting better under Hill and we still have time to turn the season around with a few decent additions. Deffo not a time to panic because the manager knows what he needs and I think he will get the players in he wants and get them playing his way. Keep the faith you moaning twats and a Happy New Year to one and all.

In Swann’s interview on Radio GA GA before KO today, he said two player deals were done to strengthen the squad, Hill said after the game with a laugh it was at least one. He did say though a striker at U23 level was the deffo player but it’s with a Championship club, that should get a few stattos trawling the net to find out who’s available.

A home win today and a successive win after Oldham would be a massive morale and confidence boost to the team, plus would really show Hill’s work is starting to pay off before new additions to the squad have arrived. Morale 6 pointer maybe. UP THE IRON.

Yep if the Carlisle game calls foul of covid it will be a real bummer, we need to capitalise on the Oldham win particularly against an opponent we can catch and pass in the league with our improved recent form.

Good point by tas, if the recent two postponement aren’t rearranged till late January or even later then we may have new players available from the window to boost our squad and improve things. I’m hoping being home games it works to our advantage, It’s our home form improving in terms of wins that will help us climb the table and also hopefully increase the attendances. Away games matter too but home form is nearly always the key for teams to kick on.

Main things for me is Hill speaks his mind, means what he says and doesn’t waffle on with ” football speak “. Bloody hell you have to go back a long way since we’ve had a manager like that and he puts his words into action particularly with this current group training hard, playing better and starting to believe in themselves. Confidence and belief go a long way in life never mind football, he’s just putting the basics of doing things well in general into practice to enable them to improve. With a few additions of his choice next month I believe we will be ok. Nice one Keith.

Despite all our reasonably recent success under Nigel and Steve Wharton my best ever memory is still that 2-1 away win at Sheffield Wednesday in thge FA Cup back in January 1970. Maybe its because i was just 14 and stood with a crowd of Scunny fans all going ape shit when Cass headed in that winner from George Kerrs corner. Terry Heath thumping their bar with a 20 yard thunderbolt and John Barker putting his head in where it hurts when we needed a hero plus Kevin Keegan playing for us back then and all the other great memories from a truly brilliant day. Football was different then in its perception amongst the fans and results like that were just hidden gems in the dust of pretty average lower league football but i dont know, it seemed to mean so much more then it does now. Maybe its just an age thing but that was a truly magic day to be an Iron fan which in turn meant a memorable season.

Problem is NI until we get that first win under Hill there will be a lack of confidence amongst us all due to all the other shite that has gone on in the last few seasons, however out comes my neck and I will go for a 2-0 away win because we do look a much better side under this current manager. Come on Iron its time we got that win.

TBF mick there were plenty of people moaning about England’s play in their run up to the final, I personally think Southgates record as England manager is excellent and some of the football at times has been very good but for some if you don’t win the prize you have failed, that’s the mentality anyway. Awful lot of crap coaches in football then if that’s the case. I’m actually pleased we are now competing on a higher level in terms of reaching semi finals and finals of major world football competitions, It’s not something the ” golden generation ” managed, despite all the media hype at the time, at least Southgate has pushed us on from that.
