If the player was out of contract in May and had expressed an interest to leave and we could get a small fee now for him and Hill was happy to let him move on then what’s the problem? The point I am making is we don’t know all the circumstances regarding this decision and probably never will but if we get something for him now as opposed to nowt in May then for me that’s the correct thing to do. We are down anyway so just move on.

We have enough hungry young players being blooded now and more in the background busting a gut to prove themselves including the ones out on loan. All very commendable wanting youth aplenty brought into the 1st team but you still need old heads in some number next season particularly down the spine of the side. There won’t be many teams in the next tier down just playing teams full of youngsters next season and nor should we, we have got to get the balance right just to stabilise things never mind push on for glory.

Most managers spout the same old rubbish cliches after a while because there are only a certain amount of things you can say to make the same point. Difference is that with a winning manager you add up all the cliches and turn them into something to laugh about, wheras with a manager struggling because of poor players and regular defeats as a result of that, you add them all up and use them as a stick to beat him with. Hill is a good manager struggling with poor players and injuries to boot, if some of you want to beat him over the head with his cliched phrases then that’s your choice but I believe it’s unnecessary.

More heroics yesterday, definitely did not deserve to be beaten three times but his defensive colleagues as per normal were missing when required. Several great saves but the double save second half was outstanding, thanks Rory you haven’t let us down this season lad 👏👏👏

Interested to hear what les thinks of today’s ref, for me one of the most incompetent displays of refereeing I have ever seen at Scunny and I’ve been going to watch the Iron since 1964. Complete buffoon IMO.

Man U became the darlings of the media after the awful Munich tragedy but it became an obsession when Liverpool were mopping up nearly every trophy in the seventies and eighties but the Mancs still received mega back page coverage in the press despite being bang average for most of that period. I think footy fans in general just got pissed off with the media fawning over Man U for no apparent reason other then them being one of the biggest club sides in world football based on past achievements and not current ones of the day.

Would there be a problem if Chelsea was just taken from its owner by the Government then the first billion pound bid from a British billionaire who is checked as suitable to be a football club owner is accepted? The money would then be passed by the Government to Ukraine to help it’s people and help towards repelling Putin’s forces. Sounds a bit ” gangsterjsh ” but it isn’t that quite appropriate seeing as it’s a Russian and Russia we are talking about?

As soon as the Premier League was formed back in the nineties it was all about money and how much the big league could make be it through tv deals, big sponsorship, marketing etc etc. It was only a matter of time when billionaires would see the potential the Premier League was providing to make more money, possibly even launder dirty money in the process, that made owning one of the more desirable clubs attractive. The game has only itself to blame for allowing these people into our game ( our game, the people’s game ) in the first place. The game went down the greedy bastards route and now we wring our hands in despair because of the tarnished reputation these owners have brought to our national sport through their dodgy reputations.
The game has got what it deserved.Best they get some game time elsewhere because next season in non league they will be first team regulars as the cost cutting increases and squad size numbers fall even lower.

Never said Grant was brilliant Ferrite and I respect your point but overall he has been good and yes maybe he didn’t get back a couple of times, is that fitness or couldn’t give a toss?, personally I would say fitness, he works hard in midfield compared to others and at 34 probably feels his legs after 70 minutes. Don’t think it makes him crap but it’s just my opinion.

Do you remember Izal toilet paper as a kid alcy? Brutal stuff, particularly in an outside toilet in winter, more like greaseproof paper. Not recommended for hemorrhoids. 😂😂😂
