If none out there are good to start, even more reason to get some in asap to get them up to speed asap. Could leave it another month and still no one materialising, then we’re in an even worse place. That’s my logic anyways. You won’t get this high level of wisdom on the Facebook Group, I tells ye!

‘If we lose at least the vast majority would forgive you for having a go.’

But would the Board if it meant we didn’t go on up? I don’t think so. Perhaps where some of the defensive approach comes from, along with his ex-player role of course. There’s a balance to be struck between not conceding and setting up to give us a fighting chance of scoring, IMO. He hasn’t got it right yet, but can.

Those supporters behind the dug out and watching nltv may have seen Butlers exasperation at one of our defenders playing it back to Fitz from near the half way line? Appreciate all he may have done is lump it up to an opposition defender mind…

I don’t totally disagree with a lot of the points you are making WG (apart from your vivid imagination about who’s really thinking what, hypothetical scenarios, etc on the other thread), but this is an exaggeration:

‘Look, he’s an inexperienced manager and he got it badly wrong…look he’s only human. Only problem is that the poor decisions taken early on has absolutely screwed us.’

Shrimpton has hardly impressed in his limited minutes MKI but 8 don’t think anyone would argue with Clunan and Nicholson being benched

‘Thanks to Butler now we’ll have to get another manager in who’s going to have to deal and deal best they can to sort the squad out. ‘

We’re not getting a new manager in. Surely you understand that?

As for ‘he assembled the squad’; he inherited a lot of it. I honestly don’t believe Butterfield and Ogle being here still would make much difference tbh. Did it last season?

The problem is, as said numerous times, we don’t have the squad depth or quality to change formation too much without reinforcements. Even if we had, some still won’t give Butler any latitude.

Exactly. Did Radcliffe get tips from them? This is why I get frustrated with the more extreme doom and gloom and Butler Out stuff. It’s not an easy league, teams can set up to do a job on us etc. just because we’re FT doesn’t necessarily give us a huge advantage in specific games the opposition treats like a cup tie. Yes, there are issues in the squad that need to be addressed but I’m not subscribing to becoming Sackthorpe again. The cons outweigh the pros IMO. That doesn’t mean I’ve got a shrine to Butler, but he can learn and needs our support at this stage I believe.

Yep Mick. But apparently, for some, only we are doomed. Funny old game innit. Let’s not forget Curzon’s player budget is a reported £0.5m due to investors. Ours is massively reduced this season with some high earners due to the burger flipper’s fraudster pal. Plus the Board is still paying off the debt. So in that context we ain’t doing so bad.

And yet, 414, it’s been insinuated that you are Mr Dave, Simon, a Cod, or someone who sells oversized tracksuits by different members of this forum. No one is happy with current performances or results, but what do you think the number of insinuations say about you and your perceived intentions? A mere observation, no ‘toxicity’ here. Just curious. What do you want from this given Butler isn’t going anywhere and Butterfield and Ogle aren’t coming back?

Ha ha, what do you mean ‘will be’?

Good to see recent matches and the Iron plight has lightened your mood 414. There’s only so much bitterness a chap can burden himself with.

‘despite Deerey’s unconvincing argument that we have ‘far better’ second half displays’

Correction; I said ‘have had some’ or words to that effect

‘Whatever you think of Hilton it was a good idea of his to move the training to the Midlands’.

Never in a million years. Not going in to the detail of the reasons why not again are we? He’s gone thank goodness so it’s irrelevant anyway now.

If that’s in reference to his gaffe last night; he’s made one mistake. He’s kept us in more games than that one this season and the he wasn’t the reason for the bad performance and result.

He needs to change the formation, set up amd starting eleven but the squad isn’t big enough and lacks quality. Hopefully some decent new faces are incoming but he didn’t sound confident. Something needs to change though, quick.

Was it just me or did I spot a little bit of football being played when we went 4-4-2?

For about ten minutes after we equalised? Tails were up then we blew it
