We’ve all got our theories about that. Personally, he wasted enough of my time before he left (and probably the last 24 hours) so I’m loathe to get too embroiled in it again and dance to his tune. Politely request that posters avoid libellous replies to awaywego’s questions though.

On the subject of the Academy: there was a discussion about the reasons for Tamworth’s success recently. They have a thriving academy, or did. Don’t know how many players move up to their first team, perhaps not many, but perhaps points to some indirect benefits of having an academy? There were some on here who were quite adamant an academy is unnecessary at our level. Maybe it’s pros outweigh it’s cons?

Glad SST cleared that up about HMRC. There will never be a siitable time to spin a ‘Hilton wasn’t so bad’ line, IMO.
