After 13 years of this shower my vote won’t be bought so cheaply.
Well done Michelle et al for taking full advantage of their blind panic a year before the general election.

If there was government funding available then I wonder why WHAM didn’t go down that route?

    Perhaps he couldn’t!

Cheaply? Financed 5/6ths of the ground, payed the wages of many who go to football for over a year while the steel plant was in administration, and the same during covid.

I have seen nothing apart from the statement by the local MP that central government contributed financially in any way to the ground solution. It appears to be a local council decision and contribution.

In the written and electronic propaganda that I regularly receive from North Lincs Council every penny they spend is presented as a special gift from the Tories so it’s hard to be sure what finance comes from council tax and central funding and what, if any, comes from additional or so called levelling up funding.

I did read somewhere, possibly from Max Bell that the whole council supported the solution so to claim it as a gift from the Tory party is stretching credibility.

In truth for once I don’t care where the money was sourced from. Inevitably it originated from the pockets of taxpayers. I am just delighted to have a club and a ground that are Swann and Hilton free zones.

I did raise a little smile that 6 months or so ago NLC allegedly told Hilton and Swann that outline planning permission on the land had lapsed but now the council are involved it has been magically re-granted.

I’ve voted for several political parties over the years but have always thought it’s useful for your MP to be from the governing party. I think this is such a case.

“Early plans are in place to enable the creation of new employment in leisure and health and wellbeing sectors as well as others.” where is the planning permission?

That is paragraph three Fansy. The second paragraph:

As part of the deal, an anticipated 100 jobs are expected to be created from developments around the ground along with up to 150 homes for older residents and people with complex needs on an area which already has outline planning permission.

Indeed had a fantastic weekend celebrating first the GP news then a 5-1 away win to take us tpppa tha league .. my liver now in recovery mode and twas great to meet some other Asian based Scunny fans for afternoon tea and a game of crochet.

This week hopefully will be the base for the club to push on .. maybe the GP news did offer a boost to the players now knowing they will be playing in the stadium that it appeared when most signed.
Still think it will go to the wire in a Scunny/Tam 2 horse race similar to that of Notts County n Wrexham in the NL last season.

Keeping the injury list down is paramount to success if promotion is to this season .. hoping Tamworth have a bad patch as well.

One last thing …Jacob Butterfield is dynamite ,,,different class.
