Season ticket holders can bring a friend for a fiver. Need a crowd like yesterday to make as uncomfortable as we can for them.
A striker wouldn’t go a miss either.
Elliot will be a good barometer for the new owner by what he does/doesn’t say in the upcoming months.

Timing wasn’t great and should have been told behind closed doors but Hilton has offered Nelson a proper contract in a more fixed position so least it gives him more security now. Nelson’s been here not even on a contract so least he’s still here in some capacity.
Let’s not hate on Hilton already. I thought it was a nice touch from Hilton in offering Nelson a proper contract and he’s keeping in contact with fans and letting us know.
Hilton from this early on is soon to have his manager and assistant in place…has offered Nelson a proper contract in a coaching role, will have cleared the HMRC tax bill and is willing to bankroll a considerable number of signings in a bid to keep us up.
Hilton’s not even been here a week yet !
No hating being done- the situation hasn’t been handled well and we’ll rightly scrutinise.
Positive is that Nelson has been offered a role; whether that works with a new gaffer and his team remains to be seen. I have my doubts.

Statement on Twitter now from Hilton stating a decision was not made at the time of his interview.
Appreciate the openness but constantly responding to supporters on Twitter won’t end well. Better off deleting the account and corresponding through the club channels.

Was even some singing in the main stand; really enjoyable atmosphere and the DRE were in fine voice.
1st half was excellent, Butterfield was just levels above everyone on the pitch but it’s a shame his legs can’t keep it going for a full 90. If we have a recognised striker we win that game today.
Can’t fault the effort from everybody though, they are fighting for the badge at the moment.
Feel sorry for Nelson, hope he gets a crack at it elsewhere. However, we need a fresh start. I expect there’s going to be some big changes.

1,000 extra home fans for a side 2nd bottom of the national league; good effort. Atmosphere was brilliant all round today.

I said he owns everything; however, the stadium is under Scunthorpe United LTD and the land may be under a different company that Hilton own. A company that will look to develop the land for the club’s benefit as he stated.
Like I said, I may well have interpreted it wrong, but it was something I picked up on.
Hilton bought the lot didn’t he, ground, stadium and surrounding land ?
That’s what he claims anyway.
I may have interpreted it wrong, I got the impression he had bought the lot but the land was under a a different name and the stadium was under the clubs.
Enjoyed listening to it. Don’t want to hear any more about championship football and 12k stadiums; Work with what you’ve got any get the club operating on a stable footing again. We were pound for pound one of the best ran clubs for over a decade, so the model is there to learn from.
Interesting to note that it sounds like the land isn’t under the clubs name, I’d be intrigued to know what the plans are and how we can benefit from it.

What do we reckon for tomorrows crowd? I’ll go for 3,200
I think the point is that our club is (apparently) secure (for a little longer at least). What we do not need is another bout of spending money we don’t have. Stabilisation and organic growth is fine by me. I do not expect to get back in the FPL anytime soon. Level 6 will be difficult enough next season.
This is it. The teams in the football League grow stronger by the year and that is likely to further be enchanced by the Juggernaught that is Wrexham and potentially Chesterfield/Notts county. The day of idling by on 3k attendances and expecting league football are nearing an end.
You only have to look at the strength of League one- it’s virtually a 2nd championship.
We have to find a new level now and begin to live within our means. If the town wants league football again, it’s got to be a mutual effort and not just relying on a sugar daddy.

2 strikers, 1 CB and another GK and we could give this a real go. Foster is a good shot stopped but his lack of coming off the line will bite us in the arse before long. I know he’s young but we could do with some experience in there.
Ogle was excellent as was Whitehouse and Wilson. Foster played well too, albeit at times looked shaky. I know he’s young but he looks like a reincarnation of Tommy Evans with the reluctance to come off the line.
He won’t be off his line until develops more physically, got to think he’s still built more like a gangly teenager than a full grown man. That’s something that can be easily coached as he develops.

His name is clearly getting around with them watching and Forest interested earlier on.
Just seen Christian Dibble (keeper) released from Wrexham too. Could be an astute signing if we can afford him.
A premier league team were watching Foster tonight.
Been impressed with him for such a young keeper; potentially a good career ahead of him.

Fought hard tonight for that, with no Shrimpton and Lavery I feared the worst.
Always wondered why Whitehouse was sent on loan, was rightly MOTM.
I have no expectations to survive this year, but if we can bring in a couple of strikers, win a few more games than the usual 1 in 10 and keep battling like that, they’ll have my full support.

There will be a time to scrutinise, but not tonight. Welcome to the club David, and up the f*cling Iron.
Even Getting back in the football league this decade may prove to be challenging.
Pat hit the nail firmly on the head.

There is a lot of development potential on the site. Property less so with the way the market is going but it’s a huge footprint for a club our size; the east car park is wasted space.
Aslong as the club’s interests are protected, I’ll be behind any development opportunity.

Can’t find much information on him which is a positive- initial feedback all seems to be positive from Ilkeston fans too.
Nottinghamshire based, any link with Hardy, SST?
Read enough about Hardy now to know I don’t want him near the club; if it’s him or bust then I can’t blame people for supporting him, but I’ll be cutting ties. Not funding another ego.
Praying the locals can resurrect their bid or there is someone out there with the money and good intentions to save the club.

I don’t have the legal knowledge but believe the community asset tag only means that if the ground was put up for sale, the trust/council have to be informed so they can prepare a bid.
Without Lavery and Shrimpton I suspect things will turn ugly soon and we could start getting hammered.

Disappointed to be honest; expected something more concrete and a formal demonstration to be arranged. Before anyone replies with the usual ‘do it yourself’… I’ve personally offered services to help arrange as a member, however it obviously needs the legitimacy of an official organisation behind it for supporters to rally behind.

Lost 50k a week and 20million in total
at Notts county, all resulting in relegation from the football league for a club pulling in 9K every week; some achievement.1 user thanked author for this post.
Beggars can’t be choosers, if they’ve got the money they will do, his records not great but no one goes into buying a football club to make it a failure, if he comes in and sells at a profit in a few years I will wish him well.
Sell for a profit 😂

What happens at the end of the month when/if we default on wages again? Is there where the administrators take over?
No group, whoever they are can realistically organise a mass pitch invasion as the FA have deemed them illegal.
However, I would agree that a demonstration outside the ground pre or post match could be properly organised.
The gate locking stunt DID raise some public awareness.
This is what I’m pushing the trust for; We should hear something today

‘A signs’ on Midland land road is where I got my banner from for the Mansfield game.
Good quality and the owner was more than happy to provide a fair cost for the cause.
