So now the local consortium bid has been derailed, given this group seemed to be the most popular choice of our fan base is the Iron Trust’s neutral and impartial stance against Swann still a valid position? Or will they now find a voice. Swann Out

Don’t be surprised to see a change in stance announced soon.

You’re better off following a local non league side if you want to continue watching live football.

No chance a phoenix club will gain momentum in this town

I’m not of too dissimilar a position Bucks but believe it can be done with Elliot and co with the current club.

Hopefully Elliot is contacting Gainsborough etc and can come to some agreement that won’t hinder the club financially going forward. I’d take a few years in the wilderness with the current club with the view of returning to Scunthorpe if either:

    A) Swann was forced to sell Glanford park at a price we could afford

    B) we worked with the council and attained land for a new ground. Could end similar up with a basic set up Darlington.

The relegation to NLN could work in our favour in that we are dropping to what is effectively a part time league where costs can be scaled back and the local consortiums money can stretch further.

I’ve spoken to John numerous times through the last 12 months and he clearly cares about the club so I’m not going on another witch hunt to drive people out the club. People need to take note of this.

But, it shouldn’t have reached the stage it has now and the supporters groups all need to shoulder Blame. I have previously asked John about the Trust helping to organise a protest last year before the Mansfield game and he admitted a protest should’ve probably been organised earlier and there was options to look at organising one if things deteriorated. Well they have significantly. We could have held a demonstration before a game, outside the group with no disruption to the game and still got some media attention. It would have also allowed older members or those not inclined to break the law and enter the field of play to make their voices heard.

As far as I’m concerned now, the gloves are off. The club is on its last legs and the more disruption the better now. The young lads on the pitch Saturday have brought more attention to our plight than any groups have these last few years.

The focus seems to be on the “bargain” £3.5m for the lot. What if the ‘lot’ includes responsibility for the HMRC debt, the outstanding EFL loan and liability for a couple of months wages (previous Sharpe loan becomes non-repayable maybe?)
Would it look such a bargain then?

Tried labouring the point but don’t seem to be getting anywhere.

Additionally factor in that any planning that Swann thinks is of value is now diminished by falling house prices, rising material costs and 10% inflation too.

If it’s a bargain which you and wondergoals keep stating then why are we all worrying? We’ll be bought in no time.

All depends on the valuation of the stadium as separate entity.

Remember aswell: there’s is a mortgage on the stadium, an unpaid tax bill which will increase significantly this month, more wages that will need funding straight away (which they have already paid last month’s so nice one on the cheapskate dig Awayswego) , and god knows what else we don’t know about.

Hardy has gave it rock all on Twitter, but his reputation is mud. Another Swann By everything Notts county fans are saying.

If it happens again and you are are unwilling or unable to enter the pitch then at least visibly show your support for those doing so, if you agree with their actions.

We aren’t getting anything organised by the supporters groups so take it upon yourself to make a stand in whatever way you deem necessary.

Never seen such collective anger and disbelief from our supporters. Turnbull has misjudged this big time.

he is saying it as a club employee, what else can he say, personally he hopes it gets settled soon but I don’t like protests like that yesterday but can understand why they did it and it was peaceful but would probably been better at the final whistle, I know a lot of fans in our stand booed the protesters and gestured them to get off the pitch but I wasn’t one of them, but didn’t clap them either.

It’s tone deaf, Mick. Insinuating supporters were to blame for the team’s performance afterwards when they were well beaten and everyone in the ground knew it.

He also said the majority of supporters were dismayed, I was sat in the main stand and it certainly wasn’t a majority, nevermind the DRE.

It’s a criminal offence so that can’t be condoned by the club, but the supporters were peaceful in nature and should not be threatened with police action. It’s a different ball game if they are threatening away fans or causing criminal damage.

In fact, everything is wrong with the statement and I’m completely disgusted by it to be honest. I’ve defended Lee on here and to other fans in person, however won’t be doing so in the future.

Understand you’ve got to release some form of statement to appease the FA but that is complete garbage.

    He’s lost the supporters now.

What’s your source for what they can afford?

Swann wants 3.5mill for the club, stadium e.t.c. Elliot gave an interview the other night stating he could pay what Swann wanted but then would need to factor in the running of the club.

If they comfortably had the money needed then it would have been bought before now.

Listen to the interview if you haven’t already.

Then why was an offer accepted in December ? They would’ve had to demonstrate proof of funds there and then.

From what I gather Sharpe and co could pay the 3.5 million for the club but then there wouldn’t be enough money to pay tax bill off and other things e.g player and staff wages. I think that’s around their budget for the club and running costs to see us through the season and I’m sorry but that’s not enough money.

Swann wants 3.5 mill for the training ground, stadium and so on and he’s not budging.

Elliot stated he could pay it but needs to factor in running costs as well. Elliot followed with the Ferrari analogy and needing petrol to run it.

If Swann knocks some off it they may have a shot but I can’t see it.

What’s your source for what they can afford?

Cox shouldn’t be an expert summariser when he was absolutely clueless as a manager- way out of his depth.

The fact he thought fans stopped any momentum when it was Woking piling on the pressure sums it up.

We was having the upper hand.Looking to fight back. After this the players lost the plot. The game came close
To be called off. Would they have paid the fine the club would have received from there pocket money ?

Beaten by a superior side; Organised, tough and took their chances. Their centre backs were excellent and limited us to scraps.

Not downhearted by the effort, just wish Swann would fuck off so we can start rebuilding our club.

Not making me many friends on Twitter it seems; Slating the Elliot bid and offering a form of blackmail by saying he won’t invest if it’s a toxic environment.

Barring a couple of fairly subdued protests he’ll find most supporters have put up with more than their fair share of shite whilst Swann does as he pleases.

I have no objections with someone other than the local consortium taking over, but is it really too much to ask for someone who hasn’t left carnage in their wake at other clubs?

yeah but only the trust get flak.
This is odd ,if I am reading it right,it’s for an 11k stadium?

It’s looks like the original redevelopment plans – planning must have expired/expiring.

They held a consultation at the ground where supporters could look at plans a few years back

County fans are on Twitter warning us about this Hardy.

Will honestly be gutted if we sell to him or Smurfwaite. As the county fan states, we may aswell go bust because the supporters won’t buy into another sociopath on an ego trip.

Well they still look to be correct. So it looks like the transfer of land to Coolsilk was all about cashing in. We also now know the reasons with the revelations from Kieran Maguire.

£3.5million will clear off remaining gambling debts and help in his battle with Blackpool council.

Please explain Sanfran what is Dennis’s intentions to do with the ground and car park bare in mind the land is only worth 900.000 pounds? Unless he just wants to hold on to it like the Rotherham owner did, maybe he’ll just do it for devilment.

On our accounts it states the freehold land buildings are worth £5.2million.

I may be reading that wrong but where does 900k come from?
