Personally I’m glad there’s all this extra stuff on offer today, but it does seem a bit odd that (if Goat is telling the truth) they didn’t ask him. All that outside catering will surely impact his potential to rake in dollar.
It’s a shame that there’s such division, but I completely understand why some people have a gripe with the Iron Hour.
As much as I have no time for him I find how The Roberts Sharp influence at GP goes about it’s business as massively alarming. Its the Towns club not their wet dream to do with as they please.
The Weekender crew might be their mates now but I hope they fall flat on their faces .
Don’t crap on your own doorstepThey’re obviously trying every new idea they can to get money in, and to generate some wider interest and involvement. Admirable energy, but it could bite them in the arse at some point.
“Looking for outside investment but coy about it”. Promotion might make this urgent?
We have to get it first!
It’ll be interesting to see how things shake down, and where investment comes from, if and when it does. You’d have to hope it would be 100% local, and completely non-contentious.
Let’s hope for a game that truly matches the effort of the Club in securing a bumper crowd.
I thought Wreh did reasonably ok at GP, in what little we saw. He was unpredictable and his footwork looked like he could be a little bit tricksy.
Why doesn’t Schofield offer input when these obvious adjustments aren’t made.
You’re presuming he doesn’t.
He was annoying the life out of me all night.
Turn it down and sync up with Humberside on BBC Sounds.
“Balanced, philosophical and good humoured” – you missed out delusional! Overall the game was even – B******s!! We were completely outplayed. We had the best chances to score – I must have missed all the chances we had that were better than 2 free headers in front of goal from inside the 6 yard box.
I disagree with your disagreement! I think Schofield was right that on the whole the game was about even, there were chances for both sides. But I’m not sure he was right in saying our chances were best. A couple of Kidderminster’s chances were blatant.

(we’ve been on) … a great run and coped with the Whitehall injury better than expected
You have to try and look at it positively. When Whitehall got injured a lot of people probably expected our season to implode… It hasn’t. Last night was a setback, not an apocalypse.

Referee was another numpty who completely lost the game, best thing about when we eventually leave this league will be seeing the back of those clowns.
… to be replaced with another posse of clowns.
Does it matter?
Doesn’t it matter?
Could have gone either way last night, in my opinion. There were chances for both sides though Kidderminster’s were a lot more clear cut.
The goal was a fluke, but Fitzsimons misjudged it. We severely lack a fox in the box, or some killer instinct up front. They had Calum Roberts locked up from the start, aka Butterfield Syndrome. Clunan ran around trying to knit things together but messed up marginally less than he did something good. Scales not that great – again.
Schofield almost took exception to a couple things during the post-match interview with Ollie on BBC Humberside, but all in all he was balanced and philosophical and relatively good-humoured. Don’t panic!
Does Butler’s red card mean he’s in the stands against Chester, or is there a one week delay in the ban being implemented? Anyone know for sure?
Couldn’t possibly say in public.
I’ll take that as an “I couldn’t possibly say in public” then.
Anyone watched DAZN coverage of United on a dodgystick?
… agh well suppose that’s what happens when you piss the owner off who was paying all the bills by himself while fans boycotted games and just slagged him off.
“just slagged him off”
Whitehall is expected to be back against Chester. Wreh will be ok for Saturday, as will Beestin. Butler said he nearly made it last night, but still felt it a little when kicking the ball.
Wreh is suffering from muscle stiffness “fatigue”.
Pretty sure Butler said Whitehall could be back next Tuesday.
My fears pre-match were not realised.
a) We had one of the better refs this season and
b) Alfreton were no worse than any other sides we’ve seen this season. The ref was garbage during the first half of the game against Alfreton last night. Joke bookings and then failure to book Evans for what (squinting at it on another day) could even have been a red.
Russian asset doing his job really well. Objective: Destabilise the west.
Which’ll come first, the resurrection of Christ or Banjo’s next goal?
He did quite well last night and, to be fair to him, he scored that goal on Saturday that was disallowed due to a marginal offside decision against Tyler Denton.
It wasn’t an unbearable match to watch (on TV at least), but both sides seemed determined to make quite hard work of it. United managed to break through the general shit-ceiling a few times… and to be fair to Alfreton they did too. I’m thinking of one moment in particular – how unlucky they were for the ball to smash into the bar then post then crap centre-forward’s head.
Definitely no Alfie Beestin tonight, according to Butler’s new interview on BBC Humberside.
I’m getting Iron Hour vibes.
<I think the flag was for Denton who was marginally offside when receiving Cal’s long cross field ball to set Beck up.
Fair do, then. What a shame.
They’re very pally with certain Board members, make that clear.
I don’t really see where you’re coming from. It’s a bit of a wild stretch to lay the ‘blame’ for a music festival (or its line-up) at the feet of Max Bell and his Iron hour fwends.
If anything, the Iron Hour crowd influencing their man on the board again.
What makes you say that? I can’t see them holding much sway over anything.
Putin is sleeping happy knowing this has caused a huge rift between USA and its allies. This was his goal, not to be USA’s new bud and bringing about peace. It has been for some time and Trump’s been played or doesn’t care.
Russia has been steadily TCOB for the last few decades, lulling the West into a false sense of security, running operations to destabilise from within. Shithousery statecraft. Check out Aleksandr Dugin for the geopolitical objective.
Looks like the line-up is warming up a bit, but I’m still thinking it’s not enough…
Quite a poor match, but happy with three points however they come at this stage. Fairly sure Beck’s goal wasn’t offside, judging by footage on YouTube.
Listened this morning on the way to work. Interesting stuff. As above, highly recommended.
