Well here it is the potential banana skin of all banana skins !
Not our forte as many will know that over the seasons we have struggled with some games – so what a great time to kill that off as we push on to retain top spot and perhaps start to create a gap as several others have difficult games on saturday.
March 13, 2025 at 5:07 am #299872Farsley 0-4 Iron is the minimum.
Farsley 0-8 Iron would inflict their biggest defeat of the season to date.
I’ll settle for the same as last time and go 0-6… featuring a brace for Agadoodoo & Alf Roberts with Boycie & Rowley grabbing one each.
March 13, 2025 at 8:20 am #299873A statement win would be huge leaving 8 to go.
March 13, 2025 at 9:08 am #299874Don’t understand why Farsley are playing at Buxton because for their supporters it is a 60 mile journey both ways.I understand that ground improvements have to be done by the end of the month but surely they could have found a ground nearer.interesting to see the attendance
March 13, 2025 at 10:51 am #299876They are struggling to make 100 home fans. Sad situation.
March 13, 2025 at 10:52 am #299877Last weeks attendance was 75.
March 13, 2025 at 11:07 am #299878Maybe it’s because they need somewhere who has a plastic pitch, a pitch that will sometimes have 2 games one on a Saturday and one Sunday and maybe mid week as well,
Won’t be playing at Farsley again till next season, they’re going back to grass and abandoning the 4G for now the directors now in charge just haven’t got the money.Lose lose big time for them they we’re hoping to do the same as Ilkeston and open the ground up seven days a week, agh well suppose that’s what happens when you piss the owner off who was paying all the bills by himself while fans boycotted games and just slagged him off.

“just slagged him off”
March 13, 2025 at 12:36 pm #299880I see and hear occasional mention of wounds not fully healing from the Hilton era and some bad blood still being around. For those wondering why that is, take awaywego’s Hilton reference above as a prime example of opening up wounds.
March 13, 2025 at 1:42 pm #299881Awaywego has got it wrong. Unless the football team is utter sh1te the fans don’t slag off owners that pay the bills.
They flag off owners that don’t pay the bills e.g. latter day Swann, Hilton and the recently departed Farsley chairman.
March 13, 2025 at 1:42 pm #299882Awaywego loves to stand up for owners with questionable decisions. No mention of the fact that the previous Farsley owner dug up the pitch while not having the funds or ability to install the planned new pitch. It was this that irritated Farsley fans.
March 13, 2025 at 2:24 pm #299883Enough funds to pay the players, other teams ground rent every month without any season ticket money and very little gate receipts, strange decision to do that for all them months when he could just have walked away pre season,
obviously somewhere down the line he must have being fleecing the fans and club of all their money lol, and nothing to do with finding methane seeping up from pit workings, and he couldn’t be arsed to look in yellow pages for paddy and his crew to come and sort it, if only they had a pitch like ours! Mmm has that being sorted.March 13, 2025 at 3:13 pm #299884At least we have a pitch, as bad as it is, and if there were issues, maybe the Farsley owner could have done some desk studies and research into likely hazards with the site before going for it without much thought? You know, like how any reputable company would when doing something like that? And if he did, he obviously didn’t do that good a job. Also, nowhere did I claim he was fleecing, but it’s easy to make straw men.

Due Diligence – good name for a racehorse.

Said Aidan O’Brien.
Apparently he had one that raced between 2013 & 2015.March 13, 2025 at 6:24 pm #299887Match thread – Check
Rene prediction – Check
Farsley situation discussed – Check
AWG making it all about an ex chairman – CheckComfortable 1-0 win and some Canada goose clad morons moaning and swearing about the performance on Gareths vlog
March 13, 2025 at 7:16 pm #299888Would that be the same Canada goose morons who are putting money into Farsley by going to the match unlike most of rest of the Farsley fans.
One who got kicked out at Warrington for celebrating is even donating another £20 quid to them besides the normal ticket price they really are morons.

Leeds to Buxton being a nice easy trip after all.
March 13, 2025 at 8:48 pm #299890Makes you wonder how many would have dropped off if we’d made the ‘sensible idea’ of sharing with Gainsborough. Sure, we’re a bigger club and it’s nearer, but there would have been a decrease.
March 13, 2025 at 9:02 pm #299891There was no chance of sharing at Gainsborough because of fixture clashes seeing the season had started, Siderite, last season
March 13, 2025 at 9:14 pm #299892Aye, thanks for the reminder. So, the idea was even more stupid than attendance issues.
March 13, 2025 at 9:57 pm #299897A Trinity director told me that, there were two many weeks when the teams were at home on the same day so it wasn’t on the cards it was going to happen, so Farsley might have been in the same situation with clashes with home games

Surely Ilkeston was the aim, Scunny at home one week and Ilson the next to use their “world class” facilities??
March 14, 2025 at 2:04 pm #299906WOW!
Farsley 40/1
Draw 7/1
Scunthorpe 1/9£1 on Farsley?
March 14, 2025 at 6:54 pm #299909March 14, 2025 at 7:00 pm #2999113-0 Scunny Wouldn’t Be adverse to a 6/7 nil though

March 14, 2025 at 8:12 pm #299913Be interesting to see if decides to rest a few a regulars, could potentially see Kelly and Starbuck make a start.
Brackley have a tricky tie at home to Buxton so there’s a realistic chance we may put some daylight between us and them. We Have to be Ruthless tomorrow.
March 15, 2025 at 8:54 am #299916Bloody hell where’s that thinking coming from that we can afford to rest players!
Give your head a wabble. We’ve drawn 13 games ffs, lost to a lower league team and played absolutely shite in some of the games we’ve won.
We need to treat every team with respect and play the best team we can, rest the players if we get 3 goals in front.
