… the negative histrionics that followed Butterfield’s exit for far too long last season…
From the fans or from a clearly economical-with-the-truth Mrs B ..?!
Give him a go!
38 goals this season!Agree!

Robert’s and Whitehall feeling the love!
Would that perhaps tempt them to stay?
It could also tempt them to move on. What a moment to experience and a high to leave on.
I loved the “Roberts again….” chant when he got the morons back over the wall near the end.
One of those lovely SUFC moments that would mean nothing to anyone outside of the Club. Similarly the footage doing the rounds of Danny Whitehall playing the drum in the crowd – quite possibly the best SUFC footage I’ve ever seen. What a wonderful moment.
There’s going to be some players that, however much they’d like to stay, could very well be offered better terms elsewhere – I’m thinking Whitehall and Roberts.
As professional footballers, their heads or their agents heads will ultimately rule over their hearts. It’s always been that way. So I think we’re in for some heartbreak this summer.
“Not after the two years I’ve had!”
There are several different meanings that could be inferred from that, particularly if taken alongside her comments about ‘the right person’ not being around.

How can you let Beck go when he signed an 18 month contract, can’t imagine some other numpty coming in for him can you.
You could cancel his contract (whether ‘by mutual consent’, as sometimes happens, or not).
Maybe Merch Labs, as partners / sponsors, might step up and pay for an ad-free experience for all?
Similarly, Omotayo from Kings Lynn would be a good signing. He looks like he could effortlessly do what Beck blustrously can’t.
It’s a sad indictment of what an entitled 24/7 supermarket shopping culture we’ve become when you’d just innocently presume the Club would be open the morning after a Play Off Final.

Connor Smith and Will Harris would be very good signings.
Wasn’t it ‘click this to get access for a period of 24 hours’?
(pity the DAZN highlights are so low res)
Not quite sure why this should be the case, but yes. The quality of the footage is shockingly low res. Did anyone who watched it on TV notice the picture as particularly bad? What I’m asking is, is the problem with the master footage itself, or with the upload of these highlights?
This is how I interpreted it, too.
I think, though, that the aim will be to at least survive with finishing mid-table considered a good achievement.
Might be worth listening back to Michelle’s interview – I interpreted her comments as being that our budget would financially be about the middle of those in the NL
This is how I interpreted it, too.
Some seem to think that’s a prerequisite for the ‘Fans Voice’ or whatever it’s called Apollo. What’s happening with that anyhow?
I think there is some difficult stuff around fans and fan groups likely to come out during the next few weeks, once the good feeling has dissipated a bit.
I thought what was said about AB was on the whole abuse ,it seems people can’t be”passionate” without abuse anymore.
I’d tend to agree with this. I’d suggest that there are a lot of emotionally unintelligent people around the Club, unable to process the details or nuance of situations and unable to express themselves with calm, reason and respect.
You’re allowed to complain when the football is shite. It should never spill over into personal abuse, though.

DM, if he had continued in the same vein – no way would we have been rejoicing today.
Maybe it was fan pressure; perhaps board pressure or personal revelation. Who knows? All that matters is that he began steering the Iron boat in a better direction. You’re completely missing the point Les. Yes, some criticism was deserved. Calls for him to go, chants about his football being shite plus the demoralising insults and the abuse he endured were not deserved.
Even when the football was shite?
Very lucky with the first goal if the stewards weren’t so thick the game would have been stopped for medical assistance a minute before we scored, (someone fell ill in the Dre) what a waste of money they turned out to be, did sod all then and sod all when fans encroached on the edge of the pitch total waste of space.
Nice to see fans trying to sort the numptys on the edge of the pitch a few of them got lumped and rightly so, took Roberts in the end to tell them to f off.You suck the joy out of life
There were some absolute pricks in the DRE yesterday.
I predict next season we’ll be full of Fishburn-level players.
I don’t think we’re going to keep Cal Roberts, if he stays I’ll be very surprised, same with Fitzy.
It seems obvious, from comments made during his BBC Radio Humberside interview on the pitch after the match, that Fitz is definitely going.
Let’s be honest, Rob Waltham is pretty good at self promotion as well, always ready for the photo opportunity.
Local politics is full of ego’s, and now we have another layer.
Here endeth the rant.It certainly seems to go with the territory. But as much as I dislike his political ilk, you don’t really see Waltham making social media announcements that are smartly-worded but transparent attempts to solicit personal kudos for what have been committee decisions.
Ps Apollo,I think you’ll find out of most on here, if i get things wrong I correct it or apologize.
I said it light-heartedly, but fair enough.

Your not being pedantic Sidey, your Plymouth result was the more recent big result with bigger crowd.
I stand corrected.A nation gasps.

Please be aware, the resale of your match admissions for this weekend is a breach of the terms and conditions of sale. If you are no longer able to attend, please contact us for a refund and we will cancel your booking.Should an individual be found to be reselling your passes, these will be automatically cancelled without refund. Furthermore, should the holder of a resold ticket be apprehended for misconduct at the weekend, the individual on the booking of the ticket could be subject to repercussions, just as much as the offender.
This could be a ‘stop it’ warning for those who are social media scalping (if there is any of that profiteering going on). It also reads, to me, as a bit of a warning shot for those who shouldn’t be in attendance due to stadium bans and to those who bought their tickets for them? Definitely, though, it’s a bit of pressure to ticket buyers to implement peer pressure and stop the nobheads before they misbehave.
Keeping us in the dark and Chester guessing, they’ll have to have two plans. Hoping they need Plan A which includes Roberts playing.
That seems to me to be exactly what’s going on. However, I don’t think there’s any chance that Roberts will be playing.
Are you denying it’s ever happened?
Of course not, but it’s an extremely lazy trope to suggest it’s our default.
