I agree to an extent with some of the things said on here. If you state a day and time for each ‘wave’ to run, you stick absolutely to it. You don’t change it on the hoof just because you’ve sold what you expected to sell in that wave early in that wave’s allotted time.

Disclaimer: Shrimpton’s performance could have been entirely down to the way Spennymoor were set up to play. He’s clearly a decent footballer but I would just like to see him with more aggressive intent (same as I would like to see Scales and Rowley with the same).

It was the 1992/93 season. Handing over the home end was insulting. Not sure it was entirely down to Don Rowing.

Speculation around the success or not of the Stadium Weakender is pretty inevitable as nobody knows the structure of the deal – whether Zanetti has paid a fee for use of the facilities and the event costs are his, or whether it’s all the Club’s financial responsibility and he’s a glamorous figure hired in to front for the CEO / Board’s folly. In the report I read, I didn’t think there was actually anything wrong in what Brown said. Nor was he unreasonable in his appraisal of where the team messed up, and he wasn’t personal about any individual player or vindictive to any individual player.

I hope the Stadium Weekend is a success, and so I understand the need to promote it in whatever ways possible. Zanetti seems to be a bit of a clown but at least he’s trying to make his event count, and I suppose we have to be patient with the nonsense. But playing loud dance music during the match itself was a step too far, and there wasn’t anyone sitting around me that appreciated it.
