Can’t argue with any of that, but somehow it all seems second rate.
Let’s keep in mind that both Ogle and Butterfield were here the season we didn’t get promoted from NLN.
Just feels like Bungler, sorry Butler signing what/who he knows.
I bet he’s a “two scoops vanilla, no flake, no sprinkles” guy.Are we a repository for ageing players?
Do we NEED a player coach?He won’t.
He’s a party man.
And imho, a turdYou have a lime green mankini???
😳😳I remember going in 1994,when Preston had an artificial pitch,Preston scored last minute in the 2-2 draw.
Our supporters were mostly silent at 2-1 up.
New Year’s day?
Boxing day?The car everyone wanted when I was in sixth form was a Twin Cam Escort.
I remember Dr Foxton’s daughter, Penny, passing her test… and her dad bought her a brand new one… about £1200 in 1969/70.
Most of us made do with very rusty minis, Austin 1100’s, Ford Anglia’s, Triumph Heralds etcHotels that require you to telephone them, not their central booking, mind, but them, to find out if they actually HAVE any wheelchair accessible rooms and if one is available when you need it.
Then they either book a normal room or ask you to book over the phone, and don’t give you the preferable internet rate.
Just happened to us again after a six hour drive.
No accessible room.
“But we specifically reserved one by telephone”
Blank look.
WHY OH WHY can they list things like no smoking, dogs allowed etc but make no mention of wheelchair accessibility. How’s this for embarrassing?
Twitter/X filled with slimy sycophantic comments about what a marvelous guy, PM, MP, DPP etc Starmer was.
Yeah… So hood he’s had to resign.Squad mirrors the manager.

Can’t remember a wc where most commentators and pundits haven’t fawned over Brazil.
Happening a bit with Argentina and even Portugal now too.Don’t you remember the 1974 finals alcy? Brazil went all defensive and negative and the Dutch knocked them out 2-0 with Cruyff and Neeskens scoring the goals, at the time the pundits said it was the worst Brazilian team ever which I believe they were. This current bunch defensively look suspect at times as the Jocks proved second half last night but the Brazilians could have won 5 or 6 on another night. Deffo no foul for me on the disallowed second goal and TBF the Jocks weren’t up to it. France look decent so far with Argentina a close second.
Those finals I was at college, TV room always booked for something else.
Saw the final, only, at the digs of a mate.
Annoyed everyone, (I know, not like me), by supporting W Germany, as I greatly admired Gerd Muller. Can’t remember a wc where most commentators and pundits haven’t fawned over Brazil.
Happening a bit with Argentina and even Portugal now too.Want to bet it does?

I’m firmly in camp B.
Have been since he was first suggested for the job, let alone given it.Had my last diesel I’ll ever buy some years back now, an Astra TDi 150.
It suddenly started going into limp mode if you pressed the throttle too hard, for example, when joining a motorway and then wouldn’t rev.
Vauxhall dealer diagnosed a fault with part of the high pressure fuel delivery system.
If it had been a 1.7, that part could have been replaced, £200.
But on the 1.9?
All part of the pump.
£1800 to remove and replace.
I got used to dropping the clutch, switch off ignition, back on, lift clutch, which cleared the fault.
Car then sold a year later for scrap.
Pity, really, as it was a work horse when behaving.Politico meddling that backfires.
Two good examples:
1. a)”We’d like you to use less fuel, so everyone should drive diesels”.
Five years later, having noticed a hole in the tax revenue from fuel
b)”We’ve realized that diesels are worse polluters than ANYTHING, (they aren’t), so we’re increasing the duty on it and want you to stop driving diesels”.2.a)”In order to cut down use of electricity we want everyone stop using incandescent light bulbs, and switch to pinkish coloured cold fluorescents which can take an age to reach colour temperature”.
b)”Now we want you all to dump your CFL bulbs and switch to ten times as expensive to buy LED. The upside is that an LED bulb lasts up to 50,000 hours!
(The LEDs might, but most of the drivers struggle to get past 500 hours).Which part was he joking about? Every description used looks valid to me. I thought you were a big fan of ‘honesty’ in politics?
Oh I am, but first off, politicians ought to stick to political language and secondly, making fatman foreign secretary after he’d spouted such venom…typical Liebour “stick it to them”, mindset.
Bit like appointing TWO education ministers, neither of which had ever been inside a state school.I had a 405 deer bloody good car.
Our last car had the paddles shift, felt stupid using it ,stayed in auto.
I miss my 98 Alfa Gtv the most and still look at them in the wantads.
Imagine owning a good Lotus Cortina now! Lovely, sadly too many plausible fakes out their nowadays muddying the water. Most of the fakes are MkI, which was a much more focussed car.
The MkII was more comfortable, nicer interior…basically it was the 1600E with the Lotus twin cam fitted. What happened to the Lotus Cortina, Alcy? Too slow for you??
I’d left uni first time around after missing a term with a bad bout of glandular fever, so went to work at a local chemical plant.
There, and once earning, I swapped my rust box 998cc Anglia for the Cortina.
Eighteen months later, the toss of a coin led me back to uni, where my insurers were no longer happy about insuring a student with a LC🙁
So it got swapped again for a MkI Escort, which became the subject of a few modifications.Interesting.
Being as quite a few Liebour shadow ministers made it clear that Sunak shouldn’t have taken over from BoJo without a general election, what will be their position now?
Oh, sorry, I forgot Liebour’s motto:
Do as we say,
Not as we do.Strange how Trump seems a bit negative about the UK government.
Can’t understand it really.”When he was a backbench MP in 2018, David Lammy described Trump as a “tyrant” and “a woman-hating, neo-Nazi-sympathising sociopath”.
BBC“In 2019, ahead of Trump’s state visit to the UK, Lammy also posted that the then-president was “deluded, dishonest, xenophobic, narcissistic” and “no friend of Britain”.
BBC
And now, the fat joker is foreign minister. The overwhelming number of people on benefits are these with in work benefits,The government subsidising low paying bosses
The ones that get to me are the double dippers.
Take retirement, or redundancy, then straight back to work, banking the payout.
No wonder we have a problem with youth unemployment. The state pension fund has never been about taking money away for future use. The money taken away through taxes has always been to fund current pensioners. The money they took from you or anyone 20, 30, 40 years ago was to fund the retirees of then, not for you. The amount you get is based off your NI to see how much you’re entitled to, but the money comes from today’s taxes, not from some stored pot anyone paid into.
But that was the idea.
Pot of money, stored, invested.
But they couldn’t resist spending it.
Now they whine.
Look it up.“The money taken for the state pension from the government is to fund current pensioners, not for some magic pot to fund you later. This isn’t an opinion, but fact.”
But it was originally to fund those needing a pension in the future, until used for other things by greedy politicians.
Government are a bit like someone putting money away for a serious operation depending it on a car instead then whining they can’t afford the operation but have to have it.
And that’s ALL governments before someone plays the strawman card. Then why haven’t they been dealt with?
Why was Saville not dealt with?
If it sounds like excuses, and smells like excuses, it’s probably excuses.Looks like he’s going, then?
Good riddance.
Still needs to answer for Saville and the rape gangs. 😡😡😡You don’t pay into any pot for the state pension. The government tracks your national insurance, works out how much you should get from work history and the money comes from taxpayers. It is a benefit and I am not using that term as a pejorative. The only pot for a pension you get is private.
And I can very much believe Russians targeted Starmer given the Russians have targeted other European countries in similar plots, including the UK with Salisbury. It’s very much their MO.
Oh dear.
So near, yet so far.Lateness
Agreed.
Especially my own.
I’d rather be an hour early than one minute late.
Probably stems from a summer holiday around 1963, when we arrived at Dover for a ferry to Boulogne, France, about five minutes short of the required “45 minutes before sailing”.
We ended up in a long line of vehicles caught the same way, and spent the next 36 hours waiting for something to happen, no information no food, no drinks, until the whole queue was led across to the Western Dock, where we were sent aboard a railway ferry that took us to Dunkerque, arriving about 8pm.“The over positivity on the FFB page is very premature with some already fueling up HMS piss the league and talk of a knighthood for AB.”
Wish his father had had a night hood… a rubber one.
😂“people want benefits cut, but the largest benefits are pensions,”
Errrr, pensions are NOT “benefits” despite what slimy politicians call them.
We pay into them weekly, exactly as much as they calculate they need.
If the politicians then take that money, add it to the general pot, then spend/squander it on anything BUT pensions, is no-one’s fault but theirs.” “I hope he wins the by-election and he’ll play a big part in the Labour government.” .What a slime Starmer is, not one person believes this nonsense and it’s embarrassing he thinks he can get away with saying it
Somewhere on a level with trying to get us to believe the three Ukrainian rent boys were sent by Putin.
