Had the ability it was the interest / enthusiasm that was lacking. Got enough chances.

    O’Malley is injured I think.

Going to be an attacking line-up that is for sure because we actually have 2 strikers.

    Watson
    Matheson Onariase Delaney Lewis
    Grant
    Pugh Feeney Sinclair
    Nuttall Pyke

Whoosher Bramhall – the 2 we have now could learn from him, and being in the position they play !

Short term until future league decided. Could have an agreement for at least another year if things come good. Perhaps that is the same with Messrs Grant and Feeney.

Then you are part way there for next season. Not sure if their present clubs have options but Burns and Sinclair are contracted to June 2022. With the added recruits Keith is looking for you could be looking at the other end of the table provided they survive this one.

Suspect a lot of contracts cancelled this weekend. Going to be a lot of moves.

I think we need 4 more – 2 REAL CB’s and certainly at least 1 striker. Perhaps some need to be on gardening leave to make room, but do not understand why Hackney still here.

Until it is impossible it is never too late ! But without going to be difficult.

All the monies saved on the least 2 pre-season recruitments have lost money when you look at falling gates, money from car parking and any catering. And the cost of bringing in players with ability will again cost more than has been saved !

2 top signings for midfield in, but now need 2 CB’s because the 2 we have are not good enough. So understand when Mr Hill says 6 possibly 7 new faces are needed.

A lot of phone calls on sunday and monday will be needed – really is the last chance.

Mr Swann will not want ‘relegated’ to Non League on his CV.

Vanity will make him do his utmost because at the moment the man who he said ran the club as a hobby is wiping the floor with him on achievements !

Grant and Feeney will make a huge difference in that middle. We have some young inexperienced talent who will now get proper on field guidance.

If nothing else after them a CB is vital, need a leader there who Rory knows will help him. Manny & Taft seem to allow players too much space, don’t challenge at opponents set pieces. Stop the goals and we will score.

Showed again that our Cb’s cannot do the job of a CB !!

So we need someone who knows how to make a defence defend. 1 up top and the 1 at the back will make a huge difference.

Hackney’s little faux-pas hasn’t made selection any easier either!

Personally disappointed that Mr Wilder didn’t recall him and send a better replacement.

Dawson had several injuries after moving on, plus he may have criticised he who is beyond reproach !! So that would rule him out.

I think Liam Feeney will have the armband. But the missing piece is at CB ours don’t jump or challenge !

” and midfield are getting over run, we need a Bishop or Dawson in midfield, and Nuttall is a big lad and Feeney is a 6 footer, we need to win 10 games to have a realistic chance.

but if we go down we need to see an improvement up to the end of the season or supporters are going to give up, and if we do go down we don’t want the Chairman saying we have the lowest budget in the National League,”

    [/quote]

Gates are down and one person responsible and STILL doesn’t get it !

Liam Feeney – very experienced, knows what Keith wants and will control that middle. Nuttall adds an experienced outlet for the crosses in the team. Mr Sinclair brings in an attacking midfielder. Agree with another contributor a CB looks an urgent need. Don’t like naming players but Taft rarely in position and honestly our 2 CB’s don’t challenge headers !!

A player may have other offers. They have to weigh up the benefits in short term, long term and opportunities to show what they are capable of. Perhaps Keith is the deciding factor, one hopes so.

Sadly he wants money – more than the average supporter can raise as a collective.

It needs a consortium who the supporters can then get involved in their club again. And I do believe fans will do.

Mr Swann was always on about the match day experience for supporters, from buying food, a pint and then be entertained by the football.

At any stage from day 1 did the food offering improve ? Then when did it start to get worse – and you would not think that was possible !!

Was plain to see but the fans hoped.

Stopped believing anything he said several statements ago !!

The money has been wasted for many years, it starts way back to the recruiting of Dom Vose. Then over the years how many similar other wells have money been tipped down with no hope of recovery ?

Then add those that other clubs benefitted so well from while we got minimal reward all due to poor managerial decisions. 3 that come to mind Lyle Taylor, Kyle Wootton and Charlie Goode.

Mr Hill needs someone and quick, the other players who are fighting to stay up need recruits and quickly.

A new player with experience will help them a lot. Plus get Cam Wilson back and use as a winger because our corner count is shockingly low.

Peter Swann will read the comments and unless it is liable and warrants a solicitors letter and threat of court action he will not be bothered.

I stopped believing what he says a long time ago. I normally analyse words and phrases but the one that he caught me out with is “if to sign players the EFL loan needs paying off then I will pay it”.

He didn’t say what type of signing now did he ? He has signed 2 ‘new’ loan players !! They fit the criteria ‘they were signings’ so he doesn’t need to pay it off does he ?

From a long time ago he did say he “Would leave the club in a better condition than when he arrived ‘ ! He hasn’t left yet has he ?

He said he would have these meetings – he has. Didn’t say he would change did he ??

He has said the EFL loan would be repaid. But didn’t say what season, year or decade did he ? ?

He did say he would leave the club in a better state than when he arrived – He didn’t say when he would leave did he ??

Was very harsh ‘Open Hearth Iron’ – and the clubs were banned from paying them wages.

Decision at that time was made by people of clubs whose players had committed worse yet got lower suspensions in that season.

Should relegation happen this season it will be for two reasons.

    1/ The EGO

    2/ The jealousy

    Spite ?

That I think is the EGO – cannot admit he isn’t/wasn’t good enough. It isn’t about the money it was how the money was spent and wasted has to be the only explanation.

Can accept the ego bit with Cox not prepared to change his way of playing, but don’t understand the jealousy bit.

Not on about Cox and ego this is solely owned by the Chairman. At any forum meeting where people had ideas that could have helped he would not accept the idea with good grace. He stated that no matter what, someone will want something for it !! And he knew what was needed anyway !!

Jealous of what Mr J S Wharton had achieved over the years and wanted to be better -cost no problem !
Thing is he wasn’t better, he wasn’t even equal !!

    So here we are.

Only necessary if you are going to let the Manager strengthen the team.

Does he want the team strengthening, that is the question.

The people responsible are the fans according to one person. Due to the fact they no longer support the club !

That right was removed over the last 8 years and it has finally come home to roost !

That is a comment/question you would never expect to be made about Scunthorpe United.

We used to have a scouting system in Ireland and Scotland they are also long gone. Change the ownership and the gate would be boosted by more than 1000 immediately.
