No we do not. Just as culpable as all the others.
Some things beggar belief, trust me.

Seems all was well last week, told someone I know that he was very happy. He has known Manny for many seasons and knows him well.
Not a chance. No steady selection, no regular formation and for an experienced manager can only use the word – POOR.
Not the man to plan for next season. Based on Jan recruitment cannot see any difference. You need a manager who knows non-league football and wants to do something. Keith Hill had a chance seems to me he gave up a while ago !

He won’t stop. Too expensive. I understand the wanted rid of him this season as he is apparently on the highest wages at the club. His wages are far in excess of anyone else’s. Collins’ game time this season is concerning. Hope this hasn’t held him back as it’s an important stage of his development to have hardly played. Watson’s had a blinding season IMO.
I believe he was told if he got another club he could leave. Cox had signed the Coventry keeper as his no.1 and Collins was no. 2. Then Cox had no alternative had to use him !
That was an early showing of the thoughts of Cox, and there were others !
Didn’t we give Hallam a new 2 year contract last summer
We did but not sure what happens when a club drops out of a league club regarding contract.
But he may have to stay and continue to be a waste of money – another manager decision that had to be agreed by the senior management team !! Another Dom Vose type investment.

Seems Mr Hill says should The Iron win it will make other teams worry !!
That is why I no longer listen to him, from the day he took over we should have ignored what the others were doing. Like Cox did he selects those that keep failing, plays them in formations that don’t work. The cardinal sin was retaining Hackney after his 6 game ban. He should have gone but moment available straight in !! Shouldn’t have been here – end of.
Targeting returned big time and we will leave with a whimper.

Could not understand why he stayed so long. Never grabbed his opportunity there are better academy and 1st year pro’s players not getting a chance even now and certainly then.
Is probably a good example of why the club is free falling.

we have no chance what so ever of staying up.
1/50 ON to be relegated.
They are generous odds.
That could have been a possibility but too many at Glanford Park have given up – on the field and on the sidelines !

Jury out for me with Mr Hill. Never thought I would be so disappointed.
From day 1 stability needed bringing. A formation that we stuck to and all got used to it. Now it is the scattergun approach – like trying to pin the tail on the donkey !!
Yes we have had injuries that is why a set approach accepts replacements far easier. We are going out with a whimper, that was never the Scunthorpe United attitude – they would battle and fight and attack at every opportunity.
That season Ron Ashman worked the miracle he abandoned the style he enjoyed. He told his players we need goals, get the ball we need it in the penalty area a.s.a.p and he gradually stopped the rot.
The January window has been a failure, and with his experience you wonder.

They were Fan’s Forums. No resolutions were ever presented to be voted on.
All the rules were changed. The last meeting was where people with shares could attend – if you were given a place at it. Do you think with 91.5% of the shares he would lose ANY vote, that any suggestion from the floor would be adopted. Of course it wouldn’t.

To apb. There are no shareholders meetings anymore. There are no votes, no anything they are called Fans Forums where no matter what is said from the floor they are ignored.
I believe Mr Swann did say he has 91.5% of the shares. As to volume of Mr Whartons shares they got watered down by the way Mr Swann introduced capital to fund whatever he deemed needed funding.

Mr Wharton was far too successful for a man with limited resources who only ran the club as a hobby. How could a man with probably three times his wealth, with an astute business plan behind him and the acumen to run the club more professionally ever hope to equal or even beat the success of Mr Wharton.
I don’t think so regarding personal wealth. You forget where the family fortune was based, it was not sold cheaply.
And I believe the Swann resources are from the wife’s side.
Put it this way. We don’t need a finance manager as we don’t have any finances. That’s because SWANN has spent them all and taken our assets and ground as payment for spending them too. Talk about a double whammy!!!!!!!
But Peter isn’t leaving yet. He can’t because he made a promise. His promise was that when he did leave the club would be better financially than when he arrived. As yet it is a tad !!! off that.
So it will happen because when has he ever misled anyone ? And the nice thing is he omitted a date that it would happen so get ready for ‘a land of milk and honey’

The worst day ever in Scunthorpe United’s history when him and his family stepped into our Club. We never believed a word he said from day one.
I gave him the benefit as I do in all managerial situations at Scunthorpe United. Then it goes one of 2 ways. That 1st Fans Forum because shareholders no longer had a say gave an indication of attitude by the owner and his own Mr Man !! James Rodwell to his opinion of the fans.
Gradually you saw what was coming and here we are.

Don’t believe anything in writing !
How many statements has he made and how many have come true ?

Went from match winning football built on 442 to the tip-tap over complicated 352 that yielded negativity at every turn. With the ultimate insults of 1 up top at home !! and then setting up to deal with opponents and targeting.
Never understood and never explained.

Said good appointment at the time, hoped we got back to basics quickly and with a near 442 line up.
Didn’t happen, enough games were available but targeting seemed evident and managed to throw that away.
Why has my opinion on the manager changed. A player on loan was caught spitting at another player, get a 6 match ban and should have been sent back to his parent club – don’t care at which level. The decision was made to retain his services !! Sets a shocking example. Should have gone.

Was talking to an old supporter on sunday (ill health prevents him going now) was a 20+ years season ticket holder.
He said “Obviously going down but where will we stop” !! Even he can see the signs.

And now Tuesday and Scunthorpe United have still made no official comment/statement.
The only comment was by Simon Elliott where he commended the maturity of Mason O’Malley in mot getting involved.
Apparently it’s breaking the rules Ferrite but then again so is lobbing flares, they had a go at both on Saturday.
Ok, when did football fans become so keen on rigid enforcement of rules?
Seems it happened against Oldham, now Rochdale and if the referee has reported it then the club could get fined !! So it does matter.
But it shows what interest there is down there now – none.

In the past I have criticised Mr Wharton. But he has no responsibility for what we are witnessing now.
This is solely the responsibilty of Mr Peter Swann.

Thought right man at last. Changed opinion when someone who is suspended for 6 games for spitting at an opponent is retained !
And immediately gets recalled !
Stability was needed from day 1 of Mr Hill. 442 and as settled a bench as possible. As injuries occurred then you change. I read players can’t string passes together – it is a basic for goodness sake.
So 1 up, 2nd half some infer that there is a lack of interest or effort. Then 1-1 and even when I went you knew what was coming and it did ! What is more disturbing was the managers post match comments. He seemed mildly irritated but was more upset with a missed foul !! I detect less passion every interview and everything is the fault of the embargo !!
It is not the embargo at fault ! It is the person who took it because all the stability in a club run as a hobby had been wasted and a professional operation hadn’t a clue !

That’s because he sat everybody behind the ball and crossed his fingers that we robbed a flukey goal.
Cox is and will always be utter dog shit. This is the prat who has a squad full of players who couldn’t even press because he didn’t even work them hard enough to get them match fit.
Swann’s fault for keeping him on as long as he did. If we got Hill much earlier on, we’d be a lot better off than we are.
Last season was so bad. Certainly for home night matches the majority of the squad did not know if they were playing until they reported in that night !
90 mins before a game they were told the formation and the game plan. They never worked on a game plan in training because he didn’t know what he was going to do !!
He was clueless.
With ANY of his statements read it and read it again because it then becomes evident that it is what isn’t said that says the most.
He makes comments but there is never an actual date attached to that comment.
2 users thanked author for this post.
Obviously based on his own statements there are 2 scenarios.
1/ He is still here because he hasn’t fulfilled what his statement said at the start of his tenure.
or
2/ He has left the club. The club STILL owns the ground and surrounds and his statement from the 1st fans forum and subsequent statements will have been fulfilled. The statement/promise made was : When WE [owners] move on the club will be better off financially than when we arrived.

Recall Cam Wilson from his loan and put him in.
Don’t understand why he isn’t in the squad, better than Hackney.

His end of season statement could be a classic !

Wonder if they hoped to get Flynn ex-newport. He has just signed for Walsall.
