Fantastic performance by our young lads played in atrocious conditions. Thoroughly enjoyable evening. Well done Mr Daws for producing such a talented bunch of lads.
The experience was tainted however by a group of mindless morons who abused the generosity of Simon Elliott, who laid on 3 free coaches, by deciding they would trash one of them in a drink and drug fuelled rampage.

They will have the names of those on that coach. But yes very bad.

Dan Gallimore has played at CB – admit only in the U18s but he would do his best and perhaps 1 game coverage is all the need.

Looking at the wages wasted on many of the signings over the last 3 seasons would have thought that particular horse had well bolted !!

Unless the ST Sports Editor wrote the report for the BBC?
Would the ST have gone to Stevenage given their relationship with The Club?

    Could be Max.

I assume that his loan has been cancelled, although that isn’t entirely clear from what I’ve read.

I think they asked but don’t think we could. Was something somewhere hinting his return was imminent. Rory deserves the shirt until things change.

We are only 16 points off the play-offs ! Not that much but the winning run has to start at Stevenage. The final weeks of December will determine the futures of some players at the end of the season.

As it stands we have 20 players out of contract at the end of the season, some will be offered extensions but others have to convince the manager as to their interest in staying.

There are some tough little ones out there.

If he goes then Mr Hill has to have the money to recruit.

Having watched Yeovil, Chesterfield, Buxton and Gateshead this weekendand looking at their assembled squads how did we end up with what we have ?

The budgets will not be above even ours. Loach – chesterfields keeper ??
And we had 2 people who were on the same page ! Good luck to Mr Hill in the jan window because it is impossible to be that wrong again unless of course someone meddles.

Ironking – the problem is such as Cameron are not getting opportunities. I watched him in the U18s when he was still in the U16s. More often than not he was against academy players with 3 yrs more experience and he learned quickly.

Played more on the right and rarely gave his markers any peace. I think he would be OK but he has to get the pace of the game first and games will do that.

No because he looks uncomfortable there. The RB / RWB is ideal for him because of his pace and crossing ability. Sadly he was rarely allowed by the ex-manager to get the experience because he kept dropping him, as he did last season with Hornshaw. Then look at what was done with O’Malley and Pugh in recent times.

Hard to judge a player when they’re chucked on late in the game to solve a specific problem. I didn’t think he looked out of place though.

Jai was doing well until mastermind took over, trying to make him a CB and at the same time wanting to make Tom Pugh a RB. Mr Hill will occasionally have players out of position but explain why. They never got that previously.

Jai confidence was wrecked before Keith Hill arrived. Gradually improving, he will get there.

lucky not to give a penalty away, but played well.

True but yes he did OK. Still a cause of great amusement to me. Since he left for a pittance (shrewd us !!) we find he had a long throw – we never found that out in 4 yrs ! What were our coaching geniuses doing in that time ?

Best to him but should have still been with us or sold by us for a big fee. One of many things that point to where we are now.

You look at the haste to get him out at GP because of his toe injury now compare it to how we give Jordan Hallam a 2 year deal until June in 2023 !! Wasting money comes easy down there.

Every time Joey Dawson was near to inclusion in the first team squad he seemed to pick up and injury does the Cam Wilson scenario smack of similar? Let’s hope not.

With Joey Dawson it was more wishful thinking but from my info he was injured and was not available. It was like the contract talks thing – he was not signing and it was known.

He arrived with 31 league games to go. He has to look at all those available in 1st team games and then he can see what his starting 11 would be. Suspect his last possible several player changes will be on saturday against bradford.

We know some are not good enough and he will be writing his own list of future departures. In his Orient post match Mr Hill rates Tom Pugh and Mason O’Malley who look like they bought into what the Gaffer wants.

He has a colossal job to do and I sincerely hope he can arrest the decline. 8 years of continuous poor recruitment, attitude by the board to fans over their concerns about the club.

And here we are another manager who should have been here 1 or 2 months earlier having to work with some players that would struggle in local league football. Now Mr Hill has to battle away until the January window when he has to be given the chance to recruit players who are interested. Simon, will be able to liase over this and correct the disjointed plan ( if we actually had one in the first place ).

    Again, good luck.

Hope he is well, is he anywhere.

Sounded as though Mr Perry did not impress Mr Hill yesterday.

The manager said he let him know at the end of the game ! I bet he did, in training good things get credits bad things are mentioned vocally !!

Bizarre !!! Understatement, gets assaulted by an idiot and receives a 2nd yellow then a red.

    Poor refereeing.

Don’t understand why any of the loan players are stating !

Wilson, Pugh and Jessop would put in much more effort.

Where have you seen about the FFP Sanfran? With Stockwood calling for financial restraints I thought it wasn’t happening yet.

Pretty sure I read an article and several times FFP was mentioned because some people were buying non-league clubs for very little and using their resources to try to buy the league title.

Just getting those that were allowed to cruise fit will make a huge difference. Because it identifies the favourites of the ex-manager.

With Keith Hill some will be buzzing, they will be getting real direction and guidance. But there will certainly cards being marked.

Most say the squad needs a couple of recruits, in January I would think Mr Hill some names in mind. He will sort it of that I am sure.

Thought Paddy was outstanding. That is where it all started to fall apart at GP, when the then manager put Paddy out on the right wing for whatever point he was trying to prove !

And Paddy is on £3500k / week, that diivision will be subjected to FFP next season so hope they have their houses in order.

Canavan. Songo’o, Sutton, Gillihead, Robinson, Vernam = 6

    sub Eisa = 1

    = 7

Well spotted MM. There are cetainly quite a few in clusters – Salford had 3 who had worn the shirt.
