Time to nationalise all essential service industries then?
Billions in profits yet none of it finds its way down to the “Hundreds of thousands in the UK freezing in their own homes”.

Sidey, there’s no more a tendency for moral righteousness on the left than there is on the right.
Hell, the very term “conservative” is indicative of a party that looks to uphold traditional moral values.
Likewise the centrist parties will argue that they hold the moral high ground as their values encompass those of both right and left.
There are no points to be gained by any side over this issue.
Fairness perhaps is another matter.
Bit of an irony a confirmed Tory accusing those to the left of thinking they’re morally superior!
The man who says you shouldn’t make generalisations makes a sweeping one!

“but popularised and mythologised to promote Christianity and sales of the bible.”
Certainly not to promote sales. In the Middle Ages ordinary Joes were forbidden to read it!
According to the Council of Toulouse …..
“We prohibit also that the laity should be permitted to have the books of the Old and New Testaments; unless anyone from the motives of devotion should wish to have the Psalter or the Breviary for divine offices or the hours of the blessed Virgin; but we most strictly forbid their having any translation of these books”.
Utter nonsense, all of it!

If the pitch covers are as good as the scoreboard – no!
Croatia v Morocco. The lowest WCF viewing figures ever?
Don’t understand the conspiracy theories.
For weeks people on here have been saying Nuttall would be gone by the end of the month.
Well he has!

It will be interesting to see if Kane gets the same amount of abuse that Rashford and Sako did after the Euros.
We were always going to go out on a missed penalty!
Has BPG converted you Bobby?
I will hold off before confirming to see if anyone gets it. One clue is that it does require thinking outside the box.
So presumably it’s the party with the fourth highest membership, regardless of the number of MPs?
If that’s done by percentage of the electorate then it’s the Conservatives.
Over to our climate change expert…..!
What about a statement from the prospective new owners, they need to answer a lot already.
FFS!
I’d say the negativity comes as much from looking at the squad as from looking at the league table.
Just like last season our leading goal scorer has departed and an experienced midfielder gone out on loan.
Unless that oft expected “raft” of new signings is being paddled up the Trent we’ll most likely finish in the bottom four.

Is it the party Boris had during lockdown?
Oh, I forgot. That didn’t happen did it?

It’s Dec 9 today ‘tash.
Three days is a long time in football!
Relegation has too many syllables.
Shit Street would be better!
Has anyone who thinks things were bad before checked to see where we actually are in the football pyramid right now?
None of the club’s previous owners ever allowed us to fail as miserably as we have under Swann.

What you mean is when Lucetti left?

“this back passing seemed to start with Knill and apart from the first year and a bit of Alexander every manager wants to play negative football”
It started on the continent and everyone wanted to be AC Milan, Barcelona or the Spain of 2010.
Hell, England still spend the first half-hour of every game doing it!
The only thing that’ll bring the absentee fans back to GP is winning games.
Something that has eluded us for several years now.

That and trying to look tough!
Nuttall hat-trick?
Oh, hang on ….
“A New Britain” sounds very Blairite!
And speaking of the Telegraph….!
Does growing vegetables in my garden make me a vegan?
Come New Years Eve, I believe we will have 15 points from 25 games.
That means we will finish the season on 27 / 28 points.
Rather a bold statement don’t you think?
“The point is that older people — and 83 most definitely falls into that bracket — come out with all sorts of stuff, which can very easily be misinterpreted”
It’s called losing your inner filter.
My mother in law would sit in a cafe or the doctor’s waiting room and say aloud things like “look at the size of her, she shouldn’t be eating cake”. Or “why’s he got all those tattoos on his neck, he looks ridiculous”.
A mate of mine who’s only mid-seventies said a really stupid thing in jest the other week and is now completely mortified and embarrassed about it.
You’d like to think Ms Hussey felt likewise and would offer a full apology. If Charlie Boy wants to modernise the Monarchy it would be a good place to start.
Christianity losing influence?
Thank God for that!
Typo Bobby.
For the past three seasons it’s been the Morgue Stand!
