Agreed that you can only do so much and if customers are still not comfortable with the arrangements they won’t “get back out there”. When he got us over the line in 2014 he had leaders in the squad. Syers, Bishop, McSheffrey, Hayes, Burton, Mirfin. And forwards like Madden and Winnall who new where the goal was.

If Swann intends to run with a reduced young squad he needs the best possible coaching and management team to get the best out of them.

We know the scenario. Team struggles, players inexplicably left out, fans moan, Swann sacks! Repeat.

With a host of coaches and players looking for new clubs it’s a buyers market. Let’s hope Swann and the recruitment team have being doing their homework during lockdown.

Both managers did what they were appointed to do, namely get the clubs out of the relegation places. So why get shot before the season ends?

Just don’t see the logic in it. I can’t imagine Crowley was on the same money as Wagner, or Pearson on as much as Gracia/Flores so I doubt if it is cost-cutting.
