Sunderland fan until the family moved to Scunny in 64. Saw the Iron beat the Cods on Boxing Day for my first game at the OSG. Suffering ever since
Still a soft spot for Sunderland though so will be watching with interest.
Cut it fine but he passed the test.
Well done Andy.
Nothing according to Butlers Humberside interview.
Everyone fit except Barrows, Beck and Roberts.
Tesco is 3 hours limit and I got fined £40 the day of the Peterborough game for being about 15 minutes over.
Number plate recognition and evidence photos in place. Gallagher retail park (B&Q, Next, Aldi etc.) has specific no football traffic signage.
30 minutes to get out of the car park might not be a bad idea. Street parking probably going to be half an hours walk away from 14:30 – 15:00.
Shrimpton played as well as any other Moors players and better than a few.
If the lad hadn’t missed the best chance of the first half that Shrimpton created and put on a plate for him the outcome might have been different.
Kai Corbett was probably Shots most creative player once he came on but you have to wonder why he was a sub in a middling to poor National League side.
There will be a load of tickets available from 4pm Monday when the none purchased season ticket slots are released.
For the Chorley game for example there were suddenly 300 DRE spaces in an area previously sold out. Many DRE regulars get a seat when they know visibility will be difficult in a sold out standing area.
There were also a surprising number of seated tickets released at the same time. Many (including me) do not book the season ticket seat as I want to sit with a different group so have gone elsewhere.
Everyone thought so but him apparently.
You can disagree with someone’s decisions without being disrespectful or abusive.
For some people (including 1 or 2 on here) being disrespectful and even abusive is a default response.

Agree and didn’t mean to suggest lack of effort.
More a lack of a plan or perhaps lack of belief in the plan.
I am not saying this to infer criticism of individuals or the team but if Butler and a number of the squad remain next season it needs to be addressed.
Forget formations although I still am still wondering in what universe playing 5 defenders for half the season against 5-4-1 or 4-5-1 is a good idea.
5 at the back or 4 we never found a way to play away games against the teams you are expected to beat.
Brackley are worthy champions because they did the business in the games they were expected to. Only lost 1 away game against the bottom 12. Drew a couple but won 9 of them. We lost 4 of them.
They got 29 out of the 36 on offer which is kind of what champions do.
We got 22 which is kind of what champions don’t do. Kidderminster and Chester both managed more points than us in away games against the bottom 12 than us. Anyone that went to a few away games will know exactly what I mean. Cautious, tentative and lethargic are how I would describe many of our away performances this season.1 user thanked author for this post.
Am guessing the codhead pretending to be a Kiddy fan won’t be back on here sharing his wisdom.
Butler mentioned the dreaded “hamstring” word in his Humberside interview.
Scan Monday but anything other than a very slight strain takes longer than a couple of weeks.
Yes
Butler can’t resist sneaking in that 5th defender.
Just seen any email from the Iron – special offer from DAZN. All National League division play off games for a tenner.
Had you down as one of the two he got wrong Cass.
Your sources of inside information are about as poor as mine.

Well you got one correct out of three which is about average for ITK revelations.
Little spat between the Iron’s top 3 ITK’s?
I can understand why some supporters would think I’m making excuses for Butler MKI. Stubborness isn’t a managerial trait confined to him though.
There is a guy at Manure getting paid an awful lot of money to make exactly the same mistake as Butler. Having one of his better nights tonight though.
Legend? Calm down. Next you’ll be saying Russ is an absolute legend!
Russ probably squeekes in as a playing legend. We have not had so many promotions that the achievment does not warrant legend status for a manager.
Accept Russ’s extreme caution cost us the championship that season.
A little bit of history repeating itself?
You can make as many excuses for Butlers stubbornness as you like Deery.
But he was wrong and anybody who’s ever kicked a ball in anger could see it.
If he wins his next 2 games he is an Iron managerial legend and I will cheer as loudly as anyone. It’s really difficult to deliver when you are favourites and have the biggest budget.

Did you see Tango man’s post Southport video?
Best part of 20 minutes explaining how everything he did in preparation was perfect and his players were inexplicably sh1te.
Wonder if he will have got them all out from under the bus by Sunday?
We pretty much played back sixes in those games Cass. Clunan and Rowley pretended to be in midfield but rarely crossed the halfway line.
Agree WG. Don’t let anyone try to pretend this is hindsight.
Me and quite a few others were suggesting we did not have the players suited to 5 at the back while we were still playing pre season friendlies.
Check out the Chesterfield thread from last early August. Sticking with it almost to Christmas was the most stupid case of self inflicted damage since the Brexit vote.

Beat both Chester and Kidderminster by a couple of goals at home this season. Butler style bore draw away at Chester and would have been another at Kidderminster but for a freak goal. Not sure why you are so pessimistic IFA?
None of that matters of course unless we beat Chorley. Not managed to beat them home or away this season.
You’re wasted on here TW.
Just trying to make the point that no clubs that mainly rely on local catchment support has demonstrated they can make money from quality merchandise.
How do you know?
Would be delighted and suitably apologetic if someone proves me wrong.
Are there any examples of a lower league or non league club selling tasteful or stylish merchandise? Not seen any myself.
Does that mean we should just willingly walk into the tat trap?
Want to see: Paul Weller.
Actually seeing: Timmy Mallet.Just trying to make the point that no clubs that mainly rely on local catchment support have demonstrated they can make money from quality merchandise. We should perhaps not be surprised that the Iron haven’t bucked the trend.
If Paul Weller was on I would have my ticket already.
