The more i think about the Curzon fixture the more im happy with my score draw prediction.
To add must say Scunny have to avoid defeat to keep the positive run going thus no negatives going forward… so IMO a draw is an acceptable result this Saturday , but a win would be cream on top regardless of how ugly the cake is.
Got to fancy us to beat Scarboro at home on BHM then comes the real first banana skin away at Alfreton , a very big, organized physical side and possibly with a deflated performance if things go badly in court.

sorry Biron we posted at precisely the same time .. i shall try to delete my thread
2-2 is my early prediction
Any news on Clunan ?? integral part of this team.
A bit more from mystic Meg … after beating Scarbourgh on BH Monday the Iron to come unstuck against Alfreton away ..
I see Scunthorpe’s top lad on the clappers page has picked up on this and is claiming he’s going to Leeds to report live on the case.
2 things.
Firstly, reporting live on a county court case will see him locked up for contempt.
Secondly, the case is being heard in chambers and there’s no public access.Thats maybe a good thing as Scunnys leading bovver boy n his minions rocking up at the court house could derail a DH win …
If i were a betting man i would swing the side of a Swan win or probably be adjourned , better still even a last gasp agreement between PS/DH so we can draw a line under the GP festering carbuncle that could totally destroy a great start to the season and quite possibly force the club out of business.
August 21, 2023 at 2:06 am in reply to: 09/08/23 – County Court Judgement – £1,547.00 – Case No. K5AA1W08 #269911Obviously i would assist knowing to what part of the business the debt is tied to see when any order was placed ans invoice created, regardless its down to DH to settle it even if Swan started the ball rolling
is it office equipment? , a new lawn mower? FnB supplies ? who knows ?
Fully get SNOTs predicament so its a case of wait n see then …

This is another strange twist , like many others .
I have seen the recruitment of some really good people onto your board , which must bring hope – some intelligent imdividuals there , and you would have thought they would not have got involved without certain assurances about the clubs future surely
1.5k seems a relatively small amount of capital for the club not to pay , obviously like others have said it means a lot to a small business so hopefully it gets resolved .
Hopefully the stadium ownership is resolved soon to – is there any update on court proceedings for that ?

Taking over a business isnt easy and tiz my personal experience doing so that thers always a chance of a small prior debt or CCJ that can slip through the contractual net… even whilst not a not a huge amount it is very annoying but alas best just to bite the on the stick and take one for the boys n pay up.
With all due respect this is absolutely rocking horse muck.
The supplier will have originally sent an invoice to the club with payment terms of say 30 or 60 days. Following that invoice being sent and at the end of every month until payment is received, a statement of account will have been sent to the club. As payment has clearly not been received, the supplier will have then sent the club a 7-day notice of legal proceedings. After submitting the claim to the court, the court then writes to the defendant (the club) giving them notice of the claim and an opportunity to file a defence within 14 days of the date of service.
To suggest this matter has slipped through the net demonstrates a total lack of understanding on your part.
Ever the expert IB … alas i suppose in what part of the world one is doing business in with relation to that countries laws.
This is Swan v Hilton ..who knows what may have been forgotten shelved or hidden either accidently 5555 or on purpose.
Just a few more scraps for you to feed off IB .. btw great start to the season dont you think ?
August 20, 2023 at 11:30 am in reply to: david pay day was yesterday why are staff still waiting for their money? #269880wait and see , the most cruel blow given our good start .
Do you know the judge ? or just hoping his verdict goes against DH ? .. i have no axe to grind with you ironeye but either way its a sad state of affairs if you are a fan that you seem so gleeful at such an outcome just to satisfy your hatred of DH at the expense of SUFC.
Totally agree all so depressing after such a great start to the season on all fronts but like him or not without DH there would already be no football club in Scunny.
I have always thought the Evening Telegraph has been crap having chosen to ignore SUFC ..hey ho life goes on.
Re non league footy … IMO the interest and standard has improved massively across the whole footballing spectrum from EPL down to NPL .. the National league is catching up to L2 and really should be renamed L3 with the NLN/NLS combined to form the highest non league level as is National league now.. also changes to the daft promotion system would surely create more of a buzz.Be interesting to see if Scunny do remain high in the NLN if the SGET will start to show more interest until then i suggest all its good for is swotting flies wrapping fish n chips and wiping yer arse on.
IMO
Sounded like a strange game and the 3-0 scoreline surely flatters the Iron as RO had clear cut chances and Fitz came to the rescue on a few occasions.
Ref missed a few things including the obvious red card when Beestin was clear through on goal and booking Whitehall for kicking the ball away when it was still in play , less than perfect refs some thing to get used to at this level.
3 pts is 3 pts however they come and Scunny toppa the league is great to see.
Again great traveling support very vocal all way through the game just a shame some of the RO stewards appear to have been over zealous.
Looking forward to seeing the highlights especially the Whitehall Denton goals and the Ironarmy vlog later today. All in all a very positive day the only down side was the Clunan injury and possibly Beestin with a knock ?? , really hope thats nowt serious but he does have a week to recover till Curzon away. I aint no expert but do these plastic 3G pitches cause more injuries ??
Still the depressing GP cloud lurking but for now other than that its not too bad being an Iron fan and that is something we have not been able to say for a long long time.

I managed to get the commentary link sorted via BBC app once i got round my click sending me to the Squad Goals programme ..
Commentator was ok …just ok .. but allowing for technical issues he was facing and by the sound of it picking up all the surrounding chit chat must of been off putting , you clearly hear JD and RO officials discussing various match day issues during the commentary ..Russ Wilcox is way better than Mr Cox.Just happy to be able to listen.
Agree .. the RO fella missed a sitter also Beestin brought down through on goal .. no red card ..ref dropped a clanger there , hope it doesnt come back to cost us..

You raise a good point Rich … surely looking at the experience and business backgrounds of the incoming directors one would of thought as being given assurances prior to signing up they would have done due diligence as well.. if it does go tits up there would be a considerable amount of egg on faces.

Its match day again …could some kind hearted Bru member please put the HR (or local stationto Rushall) commentary link up… lets hope Mr Cox is having a day off
Thanks in advance.

August 19, 2023 at 5:34 am in reply to: david pay day was yesterday why are staff still waiting for their money? #269810they won’t get their money sufc will be gone soon
And would you be pleased if that happens ??
All be it i am living overseas i class myself as a true Scunny fan and have been since 1980, the sole reason i joined Bru was to interact with other loyal fans and keep a connection to the club , i dont have another club and i dont even check PL scores they mean nothing to me …i have one club and cant imagine then ceasing to exist, you seem to except the prospect of the club going out of business with some sort of glee if it means the demise of DH which is a real shame if you are an SUFC fan at all.

Do you have an insider link for this ??
I must admit being really concerned ….. as great as things are on the pitch with positive results , free flowing football, good attendances ,happy fans and even the catering appearing to be much improved its such a shame this GP is hanging over the club which in effect could derail everything with one quick swipe of a judges pen.
Should be a good day out for our fans, it might not be as easy as some are thinking, but we should come away with the three points. I am just hoping that the fans act in a responsible manner.
SCORE PREDICTION RUSHALL OLYMPIC 1 SCUNTHORPE 3
CROWD 1,714.
Goo luck and enjoy the game supporters.
Pretty much as i see it BS ..
3-1 Scunny
Oh .. and there will be 1 or possibly 2 penalties in the game.I hope Elliot gets on the score sheet he just needs to break the seal.

Managed to get into the SUFCFG fb group and potted this ROFC dos n donts and general info page re anyone traveling to the game tomorrow
Just watched the ROFC v Farsley game highlights and a few things i noticed.
Capacity circa 1900 … Strange ground small covered stands dotted about and just a fence at one end no sloping terrace. Away end covered area is directly behind the goal but get there early as its tiny.
Pitch ..another plastic 3g but looks way better than the one at Tamworth.
RO players looked shattered second half as commented being full time n fitness levels will be an advantage for Scunny … i did not spot a fat bloke playing as Tamworth had Donelly but dare i say at times even looked like a pub team who had all been on the piss the evening before.
Midfield was real a real dog fight n scrappy not a lot of fluid football.
There will be penaltie(s) in this game .. couple of RO players like the dive in the box so sticking with my 3-1 Scunny win with the RO goal is spot kick.
I will be very surprised if Scunny dont win this one ..

I believe rather strangely for an away fan to to as such but Ironarmy Gareth is sponsoring the match ball at Rushall .. be interesting to see his match day vid to see how it goes.
Hopefully be great to sell out away again but looking unlikely.
As for early predictions ..
Score 3-1 to Scunny
Att 1899Didn’t go myself IFA, didn’t listen to it if I’m not there I dont listen. Glad you enjoyed your sesh take it you ment to put ” mind” in your last sentence.
Correct a typo ..
BTW im on a roll as along with my little treat i won the lottery yesterday … alas it was for 2 numbers 44 quid sadly not millions so cant buy SUFC just yet ,its 2 quid a ticket, winnings enough to buy a new Scunny shirt maybe ???I just watched the lomg version of the game 11+ minutes Darlo FC YT vid with a lot more action than than the goals.. gives an honest reflection on the game and some nice things said by the visiting Darloites.
Heavy leggedness was mentioned a lot by Coxy on Humberside IFA. Along with the importance of not sitting back and getting at em. Oh the irony Neil….
you have cheered me up a tad DM .. just being informed Cox was on commentary duty again eased my depression at missing the game.. and yes when he was gaffa he constantly pressed on the players to attack and not sit back , didnt he ??? nice bloke but could talk a glass eye to sleep.
Awaywego I had quite a good excuse for missing even listening to the game ..a mate here is in real estate n when he bags a good sale takes us all out on the lash, free flow piss, champers a slap up feed followed by soapy massage “hotel” ..henceforth i went missing in action the 2 days over the Darlo fixture.
i dont missing every game if we win 4-0 every time.
‘WGs .. still not sold on your HMS piss the league but that performance hasnt done it any harm’
I am more than I was. Bottom line is its full timers v part timers every match and that’s a huge advantage. Particularly evening matches and as the season progresses. Our players should always be fitter and sharper than whoever they’re playing, especially when other teams are flagging and hitting walls after Christmas period
Good point DM .. as also commented on Ironarmy that Darlo players looked heavy legged second half ..oh and grassgate was put to bed , GP pitch had been trimmed since the PS game.

Happy to keep logging on, seeing and contributing to positive and negative posts about on and off field matters and ignoring the few ‘anti DH posts’, unless I feel like commenting on them. Simple really.
Yeah i thought that after i posted .. still got beer n totty goggles on from mi bizz trip
just catching up with the last 2 days worth of Iron action and on the pitch it seems things are improving at a pace … great performance and result v Darlo .. well done to all who attended to make it such a good atmos.
I much prefer logging in after a great result ..just got to avoid those anti DH legal topic surreptitiously placed to quell the fan buzz after such a fantastic evening and result
WGs .. still not sold on your HMS piss the league but that performance hasnt done it any harm

August 16, 2023 at 2:15 pm in reply to: 09/08/23 – County Court Judgement – £1,547.00 – Case No. K5AA1W08 #269637As i previously posted i think a separate thread or sub section on Bru entitled Legal issues or similar to keep topics like this from derailing the football chat… yes i know you dont have to click on it but when mingled in with the football threads its all to easy to fine oneself reading it and replying as i am doing now.
ironeye refering to ironinsider and for ever bystanding IB feeding off bottom of the barrel scraps to discredit DH at every chance.
I got locked in a brothel for 2 days and seems like i missed a cracking performance v Darlo.
NI after my pin point precision Peterboro prediction i will try not be a smart arse AGAIN and gonna go for a really daft score prediction that is hopefully miles off.
Final Score 3-3 (HT 2-0 plus a last minute injury time equalizer)
Att 2899 (away 299)
2 red cards
Shorter grass
DH wearing third kit shirt
JD gets grief from fans
Loaded fries a big hit
Fans with covid 0Agree Whitehall should in in the starting line up
Said before if I were him I would have walked already, he should just take the hit financially and put the club in admin and go back to the club he loves.
so would i
Just watched the IRONARMY YT vid .. as ever a dam fine vid lots to digest and a mention of the grass at GP being very long at 6:47 secs
