The modus operandi will be to take it to the eleventh hour and then ask Swann for a sweetener to leave.
Indeed IB that was another scenario i had thought of but if DH wants out (for health n Family reason) would a Swan sweetner of any kind swing him to stay .. DH getting GP sorted would make the club a in a way better place for selling.
I have noticed DH did look a very unhappy soul at the pre season fixtures and at Tamworth .. forced smiles for photos etc.
Fear not i bought 4 lotto tickets for the mid month draw on 16th so pray for me.
Reading that ironfromafar, two things, 1st, anything that Herbert says should be taken with a pinch of salt, 2nd, Hilton is almost certainly looking for a way out.
My own thoughts on the upcoming court case, I think that the case will be unopposed and Swann will get an eviction order.
Unfortunately that will leave with nowhere to play as Hilton will have gone.
Was it ever going to end any other way?
I sincerely hope I’m wrong.Yep i fear the same outcome snot .. there are of course other alternative scenarios but if i were a betting man it would be on Swan winning and devastatingly the club served with an eviction order.
With regard to any person wishing to remove themselves from a job or situation… when someone starts to drop in comments on ones health deteriorating and negative pressures on family it does in many cases possibly preempt some sort resignation or termination…IMO aloss in the upcoming court case may be the straw that breaks the camels back.I too hope im wrong.
Lurking in the darkest recesses of my mind i have a prediction … connected to the up and coming Coolsilk v DH sufc court case or not and reading some comments im of the mind Mr Hilton will find away to walk away .. whether selling the club or simply cut n run after hearing (true or not) the owner isnt going on a family holiday to SUFC commitments and in his own words all be it via his rent boy Sherbert i do feel he is now seriously looking for a way out.
Heres apiece i pulled off the fans group..I point out this is this Sherbert guy replying to a fan in the group.
*** it’s messing with his health and his family pick up on stuff.
I’m reading back over tonight’s conversation with him and it’s breaking me reading “I have hated every day of my life since taking over. Everyday fighting someone or something” … That’s not how a guy should feel after saving our club. The shocking thing is it’s a minority of our fans doing this. He escaped from Bury when they turned on him and I bet he wishes he’d never taken on us. It’s not like all the moaning is about anything too serious or important either.
I don’t know of any accusations complaint or gripe that he hasn’t resolved or explained when asked and every fan or parent who has been lucky enough to meet him has had high praise for him.***WOW very sad , if DH feels that negative regretful and depressed to extent its effecting his health and family life will he walk ????
WOULD YOU ???
Does appear that Hilton as left that site again.
I bet he has!
As I said earlier, his behaviour is starting to attract attention. Different geographical area, different group of authorities, same old Dave.
Ay actually agree with IB on this maybe best idea hes left , just seems his style of expressing himself on this platform however strong his opinion on the issues is a tad ott and thus so will attract attention. To be fair to DH warranted or not is does seem to be getting loads of shit on SM and not easy some times to bite yer lip and say nowt.
A nice soothing early morning interlude now .. a song my missus can and does get up to sing excellently quite often when we are out and about and i much prefer this version to the Ronan Keating gob full of custard version….enjoy (including you DH)
How interesting to hear Coxey and the commentator(?) having a good old chat although somewhat repetitive. Very kind of them to fit in 30 minutes of commentary in between.
Indeed cass exactly my point re the HR commentary , Jackson n Cox were waffling on about all sorts of crap and then every now n then ..oh hang on we are here to commentate on the game.
Im just pleased i can listen but really hope HR can get the usual guy back, Tamworth was excellent with Russ Wilcox joining the excellent HR fella (forget his name).1 user thanked author for this post.
What worries me is that the first two games of the season have been against a team who in their first season at this level last season finished 14th and a team that was newly promoted.
What will happen when we come up against the ‘stronger’ & ‘better’ teams in this league?Yes i was thinking much the same (though i noticed Tamworth won 4-1 away this week)
A fortunate away win on the first match day followed by only a draw (against a poor side) this after dominating and crating numerous chances to win at a cantor PS must be one of the mid to lower mid table outfits in PS doesnt and this doenst bode well for us when facing some of the more higher rated teams where terrible finishing and or having an off day will cost us deary and end in a defeat.Even at this early stage its pretty obvious that this notion of pissing the league is folly.

This is a post from Hilton’s new best friend and public spokesman on the clappers group forum.
“ Where the hell do Humberside Police get their intelligence from.
There was never ever going to be trouble today, welcoming Jimmy Deans former club to Glanford Park.
Peterborough’s attendance at home was half what we took away last week, so they were never going to bring many, but the police decided to put the fear of god in them anyway.
All the police presence today is a waste of manpower and if I was the club I’d not be paying no police bill.
Talk about getting paid for doing naff all.
Oh and the SAG officer can suck my left one too….. lot more than 2500 here you jobsworth”That’ll go down well with the powers that be!
Yes this Sherbert rough neck does seem rather uncouth … surely the only thing that should be sucked is ………a Werthers original.
Just opinion , HR commentators yesterday were crap , fella called Jackson joined by Niel “be brave” Cox .. only a Sunday hangover grumble and at least i can listen to the games so thats a bonus.
re yesterday .. a few thoughts
Not a bad performance , should ov won by 2 or 3 but that didnt transpire..
Great goal by Butters who is head n shoulders above this level.
One thing is evident .. the team needs a proper striker who can finish , a terrier goal poacher in the style of Sharp, Hooper.
Pics of the food looks very nice n decent comments ..im sure that will improve in time.
anyway on to Darlo who are played 2 lost 2.. its only a couple of days away so get yer shooting boots on guys.
It is same stadium as the championship days so that factor remains the same. I guess the attendance is going to be about half of the championship, so that has altered. But there was more policing in and around the ground which probably affected the number of stewards required. The safety is probably as much about evacuation speeds as stewarding of opposing fans. Is 50 people on minimum wage for 6 hours every fortnight financially crippling ?
I can see DHs point re the regs on stewards being some what dated especially with the lower numbers of away fans that will be attending this season ..
Chuck in a few cup games and stewarding costs must be circa 70-80k per season give or take a steward or two.
so on the eve of our first home game of the NLN campaign here are my predictions.
****Score 1-1 (both goals in the second half).*****

Sadly my giant Yorkshire is no more all thats left are the onion gravy stains on my Scunny shirt.
carmorn England n carmorn Scunny
I’m hoping today’s performance is going to be an indication of how successful we are expected and going to be this season. Come on Iron 4-0.
We will indeed know a lot more come 5pm .. lets hope its positive.
Hope we get some good pics of the new scran as well ..
i ordered a giant yorkshire pudding with 3 cumberland sausages , mash spud n bacon bits washed down with a case of Belgian hoppy Pilsner by BBP brewery called Wunder Lager… apple crumble n cream for pud.
Just had a look at the digital match day programme and looks good … i do have a question and im sure some Bru football mastermind will know.. in the event a player is loaned out for the season or sold what happens to the kit sponsorship money as i noticed the 3 players who have gone elsewhere to play all be it on shorter loan time frames to start all had a full compliment of kit sponsors.
Ive got a mate in Winterton whose gonna go n put a horses head in the fellas bed while hes at GP today .. must admit i did post a comment on the YT channel asking him to confirm his Wilson gaff.
The home shirt looks the muts nuts and the third strip is mighty dam good too shame its not the away n the black whit ensemble the third.

The YT guy must ov got mixed up as thankfully still nowt anywhere re Cam Wilson going to Scarboro.
TJO you are correct that is exactly what DH said before the Tamworth game ,,, but i think this thread is related to Swan v Apollo bookmakers ..not Swan v DH GP is mine slugfest which is the tread a couple of spaces under this one.

yep im going with my head for 1-1 as well AA ..
Its the first home match day of the season so lets concentrate on the footy a very important game today so im gonna leave the courts, doom n gloom n rumour threads for another day.

Good morning fellow Iron fans and lovers of football in its purist form.. if any Bru member has time before heading off to the Iron bar and enjoying a few pints and the new food (oh and the footy) please could some one post the link for HR live commentary as even though ive registered etc still getting issues yet when entering the site via a link its ok… strange.
Hoping for a good atmos and winning performance today and have a great day to all those attending.

nothing confirmed but why would Wilson be loaned out especially to a rival … if correct IMO after pre season and seemingly a first team player thats bollocks and a terrible decision
2 mins into thie vid the fella says Can Wilson has gone out on loan to Scarboro … really ??? nowt on the official club website
Just listened to JDs usual laid back preview for tomorrow and interesting to note the strong possibility more senior players going on loan elsewhere .. hes been pulled by players who want minutes .. i hope he means Pugh Rance DSF etc and not the likes of Kelly or Law.
I did notice he was constantly scratching either his leg or his gonads during the interview .. maybe he should go see the club doctor..
Awayougo … such is your current toxicity maybe best you go in isolation in the away end tomorrow , top left corner near the scoreboard…. give us a wave
so on the eve of our first home game of the NLN campaign here are my predictions.
Score 1-1 (both goals in the second half).

The list of negatives that come into play when a club tumbles down the football pyramid is a lengthy one .. compounded if it coincides with ownership turmoil and a lack of cash which it usually does IT CAN BE TERMINAL
The only bright spot at he moment is we seem to have a decent squad..so long as they are kept sweet n paid etc.
Im wondering where all the income has gone from ST, the numerous sponsorship deals , advertising , new directors , car parking, 1899 , shirt sales, etc etc must be a few boB ?? … towards new players, debts inc taxes , running costs perhaps.
Good news is no sign of the 2000 cap on GP attendance …yet
Hilton offered to sell something he didn’t own. Caveat Emptor.
No arguing with that statement
The Lincoln / Bottesford Development Centre reference from Twitter.
The likes of Sheffield United, Sheffield Wednesday, Leeds, Hull, Grimsby, Rotherham, Doncaster and Barnsley are all likely to come fishing in our waters and open up development centres for their Academies.
All the clubs you mention are established FL clubs not a potless outfit languishing in the second tier of non league so yeas more than likely they will ..
Or even the new lad with the long name coming to Scunny as well 🙄
apologies i forget just how one has to be politically correct and aware in blighy nowadays ..not so here , having a missus n kids “of colour” i can assure you its just habit nothing racist.

Yep it’s a tough one but a necessary one and after years of complaining about overspending and putting the club in debt and not living within our means, we have people complaining about certain aspects of the culling process. That’s what this is a culling of practices we cannot afford in non league, hopefully as we progress back up the league structure certain practices will return but I have no problem in running as tight a ship as possible and being as viable as possible.
BANG ON ..
The barrows loan gig makes sense for the reasons stated previously and he is excellent defensive back up but behind Ogle n Kelly in the pecking order.. my only comment was feeling sympathetic due to his ties to the club as a youngern and he does seem like a real nice fella.. hope he returns full of wind n piss and gets a spot in the Iron first team later in the season.
Also i take it Barrows loan was tied to the black lad with the long name coming to Scunny as well. -
