God help us if motivation is needed (should the players need any motivation I WOULD HOPE NOT)
I just watched ABs pre Spenny interview and i fell asleep half way through ,came across rather uninterested and mono tonal, only mentioned the two long term injured i took being Ross Barrows and Ollie Rose , did i miss any Danny Whitehall update whilst i nodded off ??Radcliffe was a high speed blow out not just a wheel coming off… looking back here has been so many sh8t performances and silly given away goals thus dropped points im amazed we are still where we are and still in with a shout.
I like Fin and i too hope hes with the Iron next season (if Spenny down sign him).. could fell feature prominently for us in NLN after some of our current first teamers have jumped ship.
Hope im wrong AND TRYING NOT TO SOUND LIKE A GRUMPY OLD FART but looking at this “stellar” line up this whole gig has got massive failure written all over. Cant imagine more than a few hundred ? a 1000 or so will attend …hey looking on the bright side i wont be there anyway as ive blown all my pension on a body wax, some new hush puppies and werthers originals.
here is my realistic prediction no claret n Blue rose tinted glasses..
win 2
draw 1
loose 17pts
and the play offs againLoose?
Ooops solly , fat fingers and aging eyes combined with a couple of Kasteel Xtra beers.
to be more precise re my 7pt total prediction.
Spenny win
KLT draw
PBS win
Hereford lossFor us to win this division in any given season, it is necessary to cut down on the draws.
12 points from 12 drawn matches this season. Oh, dear.
So very much better to win six, draw four and lose two. (Other winning combinations are possible but I just cannot see how we could realistically have been any worse off.)
Going for bust in every single game is surely the way forward. It might/might not work in L2 but I reckon that 6 levels down the pyramid …
Negative football is not welcome – and I don’t give a monkey’s cuss what other teams opt to do.Agree and would add the spell playing the negative 5 at the back system for too long has also cost us.

When it comes to the club wanting the fans money its all to easy from them to bombard SM with info yet keeping the same fans informed and consulting with them on important operational changes and issues it seems way to difficult and the mushroom effect kicks in .. kept in the dark n fed sh8t.
Its bad form the way the fans found out about the FC XXXXXX “done deal” , Kelme dropped and even the approach from Gateshead for Cal Roberts was kept in the closet until well after it happened.
not seeing the UNITY and transparency touted by Sharp and Aikenhead in the podcast a while ago and this CEO treats the position as a part time side job by the sound of it brought in as the hatchet man.
FC xxxx fiasco
bye bye Merch lab .. Now no online shop
Catering operations changing with the wind
New kit suppler

One year in this division was disgusting for us 2 years was disastrous 3 years would be unforgivable.
Made my mind up a bit ago that I shan’t be renewing my season ticket (you feel has though you’ve got to go if you have one) so mainly away for me depending on how they’re doing, would still have gone yesterday but seen what I saw, so no Kings Lynn and very doubtful for Hereford.
I know there’s always that pull but people are questioning cost, time v reward more now especially away.
Still nothing that a promotion would do to help.Oh dear IFA, normally in a 4 team league like the world cup it’s important you don’t lose your first game hope that’s not inbred in him that a draw would be good result.
After loosing yesterday its a 4 game league ..3 teams but yes i get your point.
Drawing yesterday would not have been a good result .. playing so poorly and loosing it was disasterous.
Im sure a few fans are questioning their loyalty after that rather lukewarm effort and feel let down rightly so .. AB post game comments did not do anything to infuse any belief IMO , like a shrug of the shoulders by Carol “computer says NO”.
My inner happy clapper to the rescue .. we are still top and only 4 wins away from the title bla bla bla
Thought Mr Butlers Humberside interview summed it up – bereft of passion and disappointment.
Fans have dug deep this season and 700 away at Radcliffe shows they are interested. Perhaps the manager and players should say if it is worth turning up anymore ? Do they realise they are playing for the gates of next season and judging the comments after yesterday people will have second thoughts.
ABs interview was very strange in the way he came across .. as if it was loss in a pre season friendly when it was a key game in which the team failed miserably seemingly swished aside with little emotion.
BTW we are now in a 4 game league so will treat is such .. what twaddle.
Well WTF did we just witness , at this crucial part of the season the players looked flat ,total lack any desire or intensity and created nothing in the way of attempts on goal thus missing a great chance to capitalize on Kiddy dropping points and more so letting down the 700 plus fans who traveled.
Maybe the discontent off the field is effecting the staff n players but being professional it should not.
Sad to say we aint going up automatically on that form and with Brackley look ominously good and with a soft run in we could well end up in the playoffs with Kiddy , 4 others lets say Chester Chorley Curzon Hereford and ??? so another year in NLN which in all intense n purposes could lead to many more when the squad is dismantled.A VERY BAD DAY AT THE OFFICE

Well that’s that, it’s been a fun ride but it’s a home playoff semi final now at best.
I still can’t believe the amount of people who were so pig headed the last few weeks (especially after the Chester game) more or less calling it won. How stupid you look now. To not score in 180 minutes against absolute dross like Radcliffe is embarrassing.
Exactly .. after Chester fans the title was nailed on or guaranteed .. on FB the fav catchphrase was its in our hands just win all 5 really looking daft now.
Unchanged staring 11 n subs from Southport …
Hope Mo can come on the cause havoc a bit sooner this week.
Need a win today however it happens.
Let’s not hear from any of them!
I’ve personally heard enough from Aitkenhead to last me a lifetime, he’s a nasty man with a huge chip on his shoulder.
As for Sharp, he cares for nobody apart from himself, I’d be happy to never see his face at the club again.
Roberts, spoke to him many times, comes across well but the phrase “smiling assassin” comes to mind.
IMO, whilst these three remain at the club things will only get worse.
I expect massive changes in the summer, both on and off the pitch.Cant fault a word ov that … its pretty obvious re SUFC Michelle and Roj are cut from different cloth as the 3 Muskateers
April 5, 2025 at 10:23 am in reply to: Has Whitehall Played His Last Game For The Iron – Yes or No #301753No but he won’t be here next season
No, he’ll be off in the summer though
+ 1
we may see him involved last 3 games but then he will be gone .. lives in Immingham CLOSE TO GRIMSBY isnt ?
I have a feeling that Kiddy & ourselves will draw on Saturday.
1-1 @ both games.
Strangely enough Rene i too think both us n Kiddy will slip up today.. a draw for us and a loss for Kiddy at Buxton thus bringing a routinely winning Brackley tighter into the mix
Rad 1 Iron 1
Buxton 1 Kiddy 01 user thanked author for this post.
who in gods name would want FCxxxxxxx and this condescending arrogant weasel involved in their club .. simply dont believe many scunny fans at all were on board with the plan except maybe a couple on the BovD , CEO and some hanging on their coattails.
Good luck finding a club Mr Brady .. IMO lower your bar and expectations of fan approval.
Surely the stadium weekender will make enough doe to keep the club a float for months ..wont it ?
Whats maws nudies all about? And the link to iron hour?
Nippgate Nuddies .. twas a stiff hard test for Mr Maws character
So has anyone anything remotely positive to comment re this looming Weekender extravaganza ???
Im wondering just how much wonga the club will actually make from it .. especially if the weather is inclement and it goes tits up for any other reasons.. SUFC could well have a bad smell lingering like a stale fart in a taxi if not a success… risky
The merch labs merch was largely unimaginative tat but Sam Beadle is another one that Roberts and co have shit on from a great height.
LT no comment as wasnt keen on the fella
Danny “IronForge” Stamp who was IMO treated shabbily in the end re the Chester catering gig.
Henrys ????
Merch Labs did they not assist with stock when the chips were down?
Kelme who were also very helpful re outstanding bills if i recall correctly
Meyba … whoAnyone i missed ???
the list is growing.
Rumblings of a new investor / owner in the wings ??
Just watched the Weekender promo vid uploaded onto the SUFC FB page and its one of the best adverts i have seen …………… for ear defenders.
I had only heard of 3 artists which just goes to prove i am an old fart.
Did note Adele is playing along with Queen ……oh hang on a mo let me re check that !!
‘A Night of Stars’ in 1966 at the OSG lost money and they had some big names on. The Who remain the best live band I have seen, including October 1965 at The Baths, a life changer for me. UTWI
Great year 1965 .. legends were born 5555555
Of course im an old rotund balding fella but theres nowt wrong with my ears .. musiC nowadays has no meaning no soul its just noise created to make money with skant regard to much else.
Im standing by my prediction that IF this gig does go ahead twill be a total disaster and Zanetti ran out ov town.
posted earlier and i agree with this
I’m guessing/hoping/imagine that his input is limited to texting some mates “in the industry” and getting a text back that they will do it for X pounds, and on the day he will be some sort of dj…..s an awful lot of money to be owed and be allowed to be owed and without seemingly any action to retrieve it ISNT IT ? with the club loosing 65k a month and fans fund raising and assisting at every opportunity should it be be explained as commented bt BLT a couple of posts earlier????
What’s the point of spending money on court action when there is no reasonable expectation of recovering the sum even if the court finds in your favour? Just becomes good money after bad.
I agree entirely and wasnt suggesting litigation ..more so clarification.
The reason there seems to be no action makes it more of a reason to explain what the debt is for .. i say again its a huge sum of money to casually write off.1 user thanked author for this post.
Thanks DM that was a real toe tapper and 4 mins (2 actually as i turned it off) of my life wasted .. if thats a Zanetti signing i would rather have my ears blow torched off and all my teeth removed with pliers than listen to it again .. im sure these guys will really move some tickets.NOT
Im with you it could a piss take its that bad !! ..
Maybe its just me but music today is absolute shite when compared to the 80s …isnt it ??
This weekender gig has DISASTER written all over it .. whose topping the bill Hinge n Bracket ?

What was the official reason for only being able to pay for season tickets with cash again??
BOSH ??
250k equates to 700-800 season tickets at a very very rough guess
Bad debt on a balance sheet would almost certainly be relating to money we are owed that we now no longer think is retrievable. So, who owes us £250k?
Perhaps a better way to say it would be “cash monies due to the Club, and which the Club could reasonably have expected to receive, but did not”…
This 250k mentioned on the BBC Sounds K Maguire interview .. its an awful lot of money to be owed and be allowed to be owed and without seemingly any action to retrieve it ISNT IT ? with the club loosing 65k a month and fans fund raising and assisting at every opportunity should it be be explained as commented bt BLT a couple of posts earlier???? .
