I fear that the period of mourning for Scunthorpe fans will go on for a lot longer than the rest of the country.

Does Swann seruously think fans believe him. Buying a house – proof of funds needed before acceptance. Forking out millions for a football club with specific rules around fit and proper – nah don’t need proof of funds mate
Does anybody believe a word he says?

Come December Les we’ll be going to the Library or other heated council building
If we get relegated again will we even have an academy. A move to part time, ground share with Bottesford seems
more likely at the minute. If I were the fan director I would release a weekly/fortnightly statement (similar to LT). There may be no power in his role and no dialogue but some crafted wordsmithing written in the right way can shine a light on many things right and wrong with the club. This isn’t a criticsm of NW because he has an almost impossible job and I bet he is just as frustrated if not more so than many of us seeing the debacle unfolding before him. It is a way to relieve pressure (which is why people post straight after the match Iron-awe – it is a form of therapy).

It just shows how much bullshit comes out the club. Hill’s youth policy is nonsense. In fact anything Hill touches is turned to crap. Remember highly rated Burns last year. Press repeat – these players, other clubs players won’t get better here under Hill. Name one player who has improved/ flourished under Hill and McMahon.
He cares as much about the club and the fans as the Swann family

We haven’t reached our level yet. Swann won’t rid us of Hill. We’re only 3 games in so the usual acid test is 10 games. Not saying he is the right man, clearly his ego is way better than his competence but another manager coming and going and we’ll get a little bit worse – it couldn’t get any worse under Cox – it did, under Hill can’t get any worse – it will – the owner needs to sell up quick but won’t.

Positive for Swanny, he has tried to inject life into Blackpool. Despite the town being the most deprived in the country, childrens
homes have trebled, drug taking out of control and no go areas at night he has decided to build a 5 star hotel and casino with a James Bond themed bar filling a vital gap in the market for those struggling to survive but just enough money for a £10 martini.4 users thanked author for this post.
I do like the messages coming out of the club – it feels like its back with the fans/community after years of being in the doldrums with the Swann family slowly destroying it. You can see positivity now but until all the Swanns have done one there’s always a doubt.
We do need 2
strikers
though!3 users thanked author for this post.
I’ve agreed a price as there is nobody who wants to invest
Nobody has upgraded the 34yr old ground in 40/50 years
The 72 years in the football league cannot compete in the football league
We can fund the ground on £160k per year ground rent that we cannot legally chargesee the pattern….
you would hope it is SUFC related but just don’t know. Is it too much to expect??? Fingers and everything possible crossed

Jason Maza on twitter posted ‘second draft done’
That could mean one of two things….

So Swann’s legacy has come to signing injured players on 6 month deals. A bit of a fall from grace.
I’ll take a win and clean sheet though, boosting Keith’s win percentage to 6.3%
The real U23’s were with the full squad. This must be some working men’s club from shittlethwaite
I’d like to see Rowe’s stats because when he was in midfield people drifted past him all the time. When the opposition breaked he looked like he was running in treacle. Playing that role either highlighted his lack of pace or his lack of fitness

You don’t need a CEO or COO if its run as a successful hobby rather than a professional train wreck. They’re just titles they mean nothing if the people filling them are mouthpieces – would the current CEO outgoing COO get a similar job outside of this shitshow? No.
The club needs a leader, it has none.

The plan is youth? And what happens when that doesn’t work?
Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the face…..

We sold better than expected season tickets – and apart from Boyce all we have is some building work starting, funny that.

I’ll not be attending many, if any games. Away games more likely than home games but I doubt we’ll even be able to fill the bench at season start. We’ll have the usual 3/4 out injured in pre-season (Odds on Hallam?)
If Social Media info coming from the club is to be believed then very few if any new players are incoming. That leaves 18 with some of those garbage/injury prone. KH bullshitometer will

At least O’Neill’s ability matches his appearance
Increasing the size of the sewage pipes no doubt

Remember when PS said he was against the idea but Cox wanted him (strangely had been friends with him despite not working out his age). Cox has left, the recruitment the worst in the history of the club but he’s still here.. working for daddy

Early or late if Will Swann is anywhere near it, it won’t matter

You are right Les, Hurst didn’t do what Swann told him and so got the boot – just when he started to play some good football with KVV and the rest. As MW said it was one of the bad decisions at GP.

Aside from one cracking goal it didn’t seem to work out with us. Maybe a coaching role as the management team appears to lack a bit of quality
Will Swann’s picks with a bit of cash were appalling, what are we going to get when he’s got no money to spend – its enough to give you sleepless nights

I think the basis of the comment was that whilst there is negativity abound at the club and very poor season ticket sales the club had a perfect opportunity to shine a light on something affiliated with the club which is a real plus story. The criticism most likely borne out of frustration for not seeing a golden opportunity. The club were probably in shock after having some positive news around the family excellence achievement, some more good news coming so soon after blindsided them no doubt.
