Quite right cass, CMC whatever has been said between various parties in the past should not in anyway interfere with the unity we all need to show for OUR football club now, let’s all lead by example.

Yeah Stuart looked a bit of a broken man tonight but he’s no need to feel that way, he was conned, I was conned, a lot of us were conned and now we all need to come together and fight for OUR football club. If I see Stuart in the Vertikal Stand tomorrow I will shake his hand and tell him it’s ok to admit you were wrong, we all stand together now, it’s not about a crap owner anymore it’s about the future of SUFC, that’s all that matters.

A lot of our players might be saying the same thing Siderite.

If Hilton is refusing to fund the club he bought for £3, could he be forced to sell it on for the same amount to a willing and able buyer by the FA/EFL, it could be that or watch the club die, would the football authorities want that?

The club staff must be first priority, the players will have the PFA to lean on for support.

Well Hilton wont be there and I’m guessing his little crew might be keeping their gobs shut for a change, might be in their best interests. Get on down their Matt and see what happens, nowt I suspect.

I’m sure when Stuart finally addresses the point of Hilton stopping funding the club he will probably say the fans chased him out the club and he had no choice but to stop. I hope one day he can see the reality for what it really is, it took me long enough before the penny dropped and apologies to anyone I gave a hard time to on here. You know it doesn’t matter how old you are you never stop learning and sometimes the hard way.

If the players get paid they should play and give 100%, they are professionals and playing is what they are paid to do. If they don’t get paid they should strike and the PFA should sue the club on the players behalf for breach of contract.

I presume Buxton are playing the injury list card like we are at the moment, thing is you field whatever team you can, go out , grab the game by the balls and win it, your professional footballers FFS, Iron to win 3-1.

Is the signage our ‘Theresa May’s lettuce’? Will it remain in existence longer than the club?!

I believe you mean Liz Truss, Theresa May’s dad was a clergyman, she’s probably more communion wafer than lettuce.

    Has been awfully quiet recently.

And before the quick-witted ones reply, this thread is not about a dutch chef.

We should employ the Swedish Chef from the Muppet Show in the club restaurant, it would be such an appropriate appointment.

I’m pretty sure the thread title is ‘Keep it Civil?

Maybe it should be ” Keep it Civil Engineering”, after all GP is overdue an upgrade.

Personal shite CBRP which most don’t give a shite about.

Don’t think the majority are bothered about his jail time it’s the dishonesty regarding the matter when asked about it prior to the Athletic story. Now apparently it is important enough to warrant him running away and bleating on about him tarnishing the club’s name in the process. He’s deceived people he has abused people and he’s lied to people about his past, seems pretty straightforward IMO.

Given who threw it, I’d wager, no

I’d wager your correct and if so it will just confirm the hypocrisy and lies coming out of the club website, it’s either a banning offence or the policy means nothing.

Matt don’t stay quiet on here about this latest development, come on and put us all clearly in the picture as to what you are supposed to have done. The entire membership will be fully behind you in fighting any ban from GP.

Just to clarify the clubs zero tolerance policy on people throwing objects onto the field of play home or away, the guy throwing the mobile phone onto the pitch at Chorley on Saturday gets banned right?

Got to agree with you on the sex of that fan Awaywego, very difficult to say but it matters not anyway does it, or at least it shouldn’t matter. One guy Gareth spoke to appeared to have been in a road accident, didn’t look very well TBH.

Difficult area, we need armed police for certain scenarios on the streets particularly in our large cities where more firearms seem more readily available to criminal gangs but we need to avoid the American way of having armed police constantly on the streets and therefore this gives a more relaxed approach to when and how guns in the hands of officers are used. Are the Met officers handing in their guns really concerned about the risk they may be under for murder charges brought against them or are they just supporting a colleague who has been charged with murder? As I said a very difficult area of discussion.

Awaywegos version of the Fans Charter is well known by now
1- If you don’t punch and kick opposition fans when your young and you don’t tell anyone in a raised voice within the ground to ” f*** off ” when your old, your not a proper fan.
    That’s it basically.

1-1, I’ll take a point away and down to ten men, would have been a win but for some nonsense from Fitz, don’t piss about just knock it long if in doubt.

Never had much time for Rob Waltham TBH but I’m not ashamed to say we sure need him now to step up and help out, he is a fan from boyhood so maybe his conscience might sway him to take a good look at our situation.

If and its a massive IF he has put £1million in the club,he should still have £2 million at least left having not had to pay for the ground which he had promised he would do

Also according to his official statement on OWS, isn’t he releasing extra funds from some of his personal assets to help with cash flow? That sounds like some form of housing he owns or I’m guessing it is?

Hmm. The board seem to have a degree of confidence.
    https://www.scunthorpe-united.co.uk/news/2023/september/joint-statement-from-the-board-of-directors-at-scunthorpe-united-football-club/

    Two points Les
1- You wouldn’t expect the board not to show a degree of confidence in DH, he is still the owner and is still, hopefully, going to be paying the necessary bills ( HMRC ) to keep us going
2- Their points about the club needing to be more sustainably run is old news, we still have to wait and see what they actually intend to do.
