Martha Longhurst died in The Snug at the Rovers back in 1964 but it was Milk Stout that did for her not Newton and Ridley’s excellent mild.

Very harsh to blame Dean for that sh1tshow. Pep wouldn’t have kept us up with those players.

It’s not as if he was bought a load of new players on his way to achieving 3 wins in 18…

They were hardly his choices TBF or had you forgotten that

Has anyone had a sparrowhawk fly into the kitchen window whilst I presume closing in on a meal. Our bird feeders are reasonably close to our kitchen window and this has happened twice but unfortunatley we have been in the lounge when this has occured. When we hear the thud of the impact we rush into the kitchen and twice have seen a stunned sparrowhawk recovering on the lawn and then quickly fly away apparently unharmed. However a lovely imprint of the birds spread wings and head have been left on the window, they fade overtime but it just shows the strength, courage and resilience of these top predators when chasing down prey.

We have a sparrow hawk visit who tries grabbing a sparrow, robin or blue tit and the visiting pigeons aren’t very impressed with it’s attentions either, beautiful bird though and it’s just after grub like the smaller birds who visit our feeder looking for seeds and fat balls. That last remark has nothing to do with my physique BTW.

We lost 3-4 to them at home last season after being 3 up, we were a complete shambles TBH but we are a decent side now, don’t think Solihull will be thinking it’s a gimme for them. I reckon if we win it won’t be a major surprise to many.

About right CBRP, Barnet was a league game and numb nuts who’d just taken on the club was in his honeymoon period, plus cup games just don’t generate the same interest.

It’s been moved to the Friday night December 8th KO 1945, from the original date of Saturday 9th KO 1500. Look on the buy ticket section on OWS for confirmation.

That was an awesome result away from home at a place where, until now this season, had been a difficult place to score never mind win. Sounded like a really good all round team display with Butterfield once again outstanding. Well done guys brilliant stuff.

Apollo 11 answered Awaywegos strange unravelling of the tax system but just to clarify, HMRC will go out of their way with almost every business to pay off tax owed over varying time scales and amounts, they have been doing it for decades. You see Awaywego once you bankrupt a business you can’t keep going back year after year after decade and take tax off a business that no longer exists. It’s in HMRC’s interest to keep companies in business, it’s how they make their money, keep up lad.

Must have been obvious to most that when the club still owed HMRC after Hilton left that he only cleared enough off the original amount owed to enable transfers to resume. HMRC work with businesses in financial trouble to allow them to clear a big tax debt as reasonably as they can but clearly Hilton never cleared the whole debt and he won’t be the first club owner that has done the same. It was his dishonesty about a myriad of issues that did for him, the full unpaid tax bill was just one of them.

Steve Torpey in his pomp would have loved this division, he would have already kicked, elbowed and smashed the Iron to a ten point lead by now.

If we move the ball quicker and get decent crosses into the box we will win the game, we all know our players are better than the opposition’s just go out Iron and bloody show it.

Well Butterfield almost walked one in second half on Saturday after a brilliant run beating several players on the way but ultimately the box was that congested he just ran out of room to get a decent shot in. It’s difficult to break down teams who sit deep but all the more reason to play at pace and get decent crosses into the box, Roberts is the key IMO if we can keep him fit he just looks too good to be playing at our current level, he should unlock defences with pace and good crossing ability.

Why we just can’t give another Banbury away performance is baffling, it’s what’s required and it’s more or less the same players who will be playing, just get on with it Iron and stop fannying about away from home.

Don’t think we have passed the ball so poorly or played so slowly as in the first half today, only bright spot was Scales quick thinking down the left wing when he fired across the area. Much quicker tempo second half and we deffo need to see more of Roberts, Clunan worst game I’ve seen him play for us but I reckon we deserved the narrow win.

I’m guessing Scales could well fill in it fullback and I thought he did ok there in the second half on Tuesday but they may try and get at us down that right hand flank. Could well be a tight game but I always fancy us at home and I hope Elliot starts and Whitehall has time to reflect on the bench that he needs to give us more physicality up top, despite his goals this season he still isn’t showing enough for me.

We should not be surprised by the BS response, he won’t discuss facts when he knows they prove him wrong, he would much rather preach rhetoric and hate. Suits his agenda more I believe.

Fair enough Apollo 11, LBH, Whitehall is a pale shadow of Steve Torpey in the role he is playing for us this season, no comparison whatsoever, he is not a good target man type player and needs to be part of a pair up top to be effective enough IMO.

Aside from anything else, that means that no-one unlicensed to photograph, film or broadcast audio from the game is actually allowed to bring in a mobile phone.

If that’s the case then that is a massive can of worms waiting to crawl free, should we ban 90% of the crowd from going to games then?

Where does all that leave people like Gareth who does a great job with Iron Army, has he an appropriate licence?, I presume he has the club’s permission to film inside and around the ground but there are loads of you tube vlogs for a huge amount of football clubs run every week in this country, where do they all stand legally?
