I was hoping that everyone will give him two seasons in charge before people putting the boot in Ferrite,( not saying anyone is at the moment) We’ve got the man fans wanted now let him get on with it, just don’t expect an instant fix if we get one then all well and good if we don’t just roll with it. It was said that Cox had input into the signings before he became manager so let’s blame a certain person and I don’t mean Boris.

More of this and what SBB said.

I would think the New Year will be a tipping point, if no financial package is in place by then it could be terminal for a lot of clubs.

Football definitely cancelled for scunny fans this weekend, the council won’t even let us ask to be a pilot event, about par for the course.

If the rate keeps going up then the outcome will be the same, some might not agree about what’s going on with the restrictions but the government and local authorities won’t be changing their minds anytime soon, better get used to it.

Not at all I just urge you to ring the new manager and advise him, you appear to know better, I think you should contact him and put him right, he could well be very grateful to be put on the right track by such a loyal supporter. Not having second thoughts are you? Dont, go for it.

What’s going on with all the bad language?

It’s been said that Cox needs time, first management position with a large squad of young and inexperienced players. It will be a season of experiment and learning. A finish outside of relegation will be seen as acceptable by the owners and we’ll have to settle for that.

    This.

Which brings us full circle again Ferrite and the point that the authorities and the Premier clubs don’t give a toss about the future of the current league set up. They sit on their hands and pontificate with there “do nothing approach” regarding the points you make. The structure is in freefall, this time next year it will be gone without a major shift by the authorities, sad but true.

Fair points Cliff but the lower leagues main revenue for most clubs is the gate money and as the bigger clubs have deals in place from sugar daddys like Sky which help them considerably more then the other 72 clubs. I agree broadly with the points you make but what about the ” big football family ” that gets touted about our league structure, one big football family etc etc? The bigger clubs could do more if they got together and approached the FA with some ideas, should they?, will they? We all probably know the answer, the little guys will fold, so get your nostalgia stories ready in a few months time.

There are lower league club in hock to 20 or more times that amount

Which just reiterates the point Ferrite is making, for my own part I believe the further up the football structure you go in this country, the more the bigger clubs want us lower league fry gone. There is no other country with a major professional football set up that has 92 clubs in its ranks, the big boys want us gone, they want everything football to be centred around them and their moneymen. I can see this season being the last professional one for a lot of league clubs in this country.

Absolutely and its been discussed at length by fans alike on many football forums but as yet nothing concrete from the authorities in charge of the game as regarding real change. See how you dodged copyright infringement claims there from Queen by subtle changes to the title of your topic.

Move this codswallop to non football.

100% agree on this topic being moved to non football, don’t agree that all replies posted on this topic are codswallop , however I do enjoy seeing the Cods walloped on matchdays.

Let’s be honest the brainless selfish brigade are becoming more prevalent in today’s society. They are the people that abuse members of staff in the restaurant business because they have to wait for a table to receive their half price food deal, the ones who push in at queues because they think they have the right and the people who verbally attack members of the NHS, Police and Fire Brigade for just doing their job in helping people. I pity their lack of mental capacity but they are becoming more commonplace these days. They would also probably vote Trump if they lived in America but not understand why they were doing so.

Wasn’t “Rules of Virology” an album by The Fall?

Good chance anybody taking Covid for granted could “Fall” into a wooden overcoat and be oven ready, rather like the Boris brexit deal, dead and gone.

Awaywego loves playing his ” man of the people” routine, bit like Farage all beer and bollocks but NI is so correct on this it’s embarrassing for our populist friend but like Trump, you just can’t tell him.

Wow that’s some name, sounds more like a medical condition, anyway, welcome young man may your stay be full of goals and assists. Oh and please don’t get injured before you’ve made an appearance for us or indeed after for that matter.

    South American?

    Brazilian?

Deffo Brazilian, someone known as P U Beless signing tomorrow, had a few close shaves with officials in the past but he’s supposed to be a smooth finisher.

Spot on Awaywego, lots of other clubs will be approaching the new season in similar fashion to us but at least we have a popular management duo who should improve the playing staff overtime, as for injuries, Clarke excluded, I’m afraid that’s how it goes sometimes.

A league one team probably going to finish top half or better next season thumping a young team with several experienced players missing who are going to finish probably bottom half of league two next season, doesn’t seem surprising to me at all. Chill out people, your beaten before you start some of you.

Things seem to be getting tasty after reading the MB version compared to the club version. Gloves are off, will this become a legal matter?.
