If you want parties to work together then perhaps a change in the voting system would address that, if you had a permanently hung parliament then something would have to give eventually. The problem is political parties have their own agenda and will not change from there stance or their ideology unless pushed into a desperate corner through some stupid action in government that has caused a near disaster. Very sad, human nature possibly the ruination of most things in life that go tits up.

Do teams get relegated when Swann is the Chairman!!!!!!!

Well that doesn’t apply anymore seeing as his title is purely owner, when he was chairman we were both promoted and relegated.

I wish they would give Butterfield the ball in midfield more often, then get into a little bit of space upfield or out wide to receive the ball from him. He showed with the delivery against Wrexham for Rowes goal what a good passer of a football he is but he rarely gets chance to show it when we keep hoofing it aimlessly into channels time after time.

They can’t even come up with an appropriate Carpenters funny-ish song link to raise our spirits, myself and NI just waste our time on here sometimes.

That was always the question to alcy but his disdain for the Labour Party was more important then the lack of help he was receiving from the state under the Tories, a truly strange one. Cutting off your nose to spite your face comes to mind.

I think there is a similarity between the people who follow Christ and the people who follow Trump, they see to come across as cultish and will not discuss other people’s points of view in a reasoned way, very bizarre as if there minds are controlled in some way. Just an opinion of course.

If they actually tried stringing some quick passes together going forward to create a tempo and therefore some space in which to operate, then maybe we could see a different outcome. We have a guy in midfield who is ex Championship and is supposed to be able to pass it for fun but he rarely gets the ball because it just gets lumped forward most of the time. Yes we need to mix things up sometimes but how many constructive passes do we actually come up with during ninety minutes? not many by my reckoning.

I can’t tell you how satisfying that last response by you was Deeryme66.

Tony Daws said we should have won 4-0.

I apologise to Tony, I was obviously at a different game to him, bad luck Iron. 🙄

Sounds embarrassing on Radio Humberside – be interested to hear from those that were there?

Well I will not be bigging up the Iron again after a reasonable showing against a very good team in Wrexham in midweek. I said we could win this one, we were absolutely shocking. The first half was probably the worst half of football between two awful football teams I have ever witnessed, beyond awful. Yes they were poor too but they beat us because we were absolutely shite from top to bottom. Why?, I don’t know, we just can’t produce any consistency whatsoever and were just dire in our approach and attitude to the basic principles of playing football. Kick, rush, huff, puff it was f***ing abysmal. Second half began slightly more promisingly where we actually got bodies in the box and created a few bits and pieces, yes we had what appeared a good goal disallowed for what someone thought was handball but in truth we deserved nowt. This team will go down if the owner does not sell very soon and maybe even will if we are sold. We are terrible guys, there is no other description.

Go for that bet, just need Apter to return to his normal form and he should provide the impetus to push us towards a win. Nuttall needs to start firing again up front and show why he is our leading scorer. Reckon we can win this one.

Got my ticket with the Wrexham one, mega deal half price for that one. Headlines in next week’s Scunny Tel, ” Old guy gets ripped off, £22.50 to see two Scunny games “. Bloody daylight robbery, even on a night game.

Good summing up mick, it was at times very entertaining and Wrexham are above this divisions standard on tonight’s showing, pace, power , great skill but above all great determination. Best side at GP so far this season for me and thoroughly deserved winners but if we got at teams more like we did for the short period either side of our goal we could be doing a lot better in this league. One of our major failings is lack of consistency game to game but as I’ve said before, hard work and closing down should be a minimum requirement every game but unfortunately we don’t do that. We could be mid table if we applied ourselves for 90 minutes every game but we dont, hence our position.

The answer is to drink more beer before the game, things don’t seem so bad then.

As Siderite points out it’s usually the sitting Presidents party that get a proper kicking during mid terms and although they will probably lose Congress it might just change the narrative away from the Republicans ” we was robbed ” bullshit, which unfortunately is all Trump and his followers ever seen to talk about. America and in particular the Republicans have to start talking more about policy and less about baseless lies and rhetoric about something that did not happen, they have to squeeze Trump out of their system and get back to being a serious political party discussing serious issues about how best to take America forward. The last seven years have been so destructive for the so called land of the free, wake up America FFS.

Fantastic job done under Truss, 44 days, £63 billion pounds of emergency bond buying to stop a financial disaster, yep it’s been a glorious period even by Tory standards. You have done the right thing Gavin, give Rishi some space, don’t distract him from applying sticking plasters to the economy.

Is it true Matthews changed his boots at half time because Brownsword kept catching him and kicking him into the stand?
