In that case Cass we need a new manager.
If he identified the latest loanees maybe he’s improving in that area? Beck’s starting to look like a more handy acquisition as the weeks go by, no?
Thanks for more bed time reading Rene

Cheers siderite. I’ll look into that too
March 28, 2025 at 1:24 pm in reply to: FC100K post-mortem x Iron Bru podcast x very interesting listen #301013‘keeping it within the recognized groups.’
This is worrying. I actually agree with you.

‘Some people do a couple of bags of weed a day = £40 (I believe)
Some people do 8 pints a day = £40’Lol, if some people are doing that much, I would suggest they find their nearest addiction clinic and seek therapy.
And if they’re representative of our supporter base then they really ought to be one of the fans voice reps.

Aye, awaywego, don’t give the poor CEO even more work to do!
‘Work closely with the club to keep the spirit of the fans alive in every corner of the community’.
Chat GPT – soulless buzz words
It was the ‘every corner of the community’ bit that stood out in relation to possible appliers. Be interesting to see if a diverse range of the community are recruited who understand every corner, not just the predominant ones.
‘Work closely with the club to keep the spirit of the fans alive in every corner of the community’.
I assumed Mash’s Iron song on YouTube a few weeks back was a pitch for a Friday slot? Never recalled him being such an avid Iron fan back in the day. Could be wrong though and people change I suppose.
I’m guessing the gesture is, in part, to offer the discount knowing those who stand to be affected will be looking closely at their finances right now?
‘So either Jerry, Stu, bound to be Sue for diversity, Tony brown, Gareth, Barra, Marco’
My hunch is none of the above will be selected, even if they apply. Think and hope it will be supporters less partisan.
Zanetti, Sherbert and Guest.
Some rum old combinations there :)

Totally agree. I’m sure you appreciate why we felt a few words in your OP were best edited out though. Sorry, just trying to keep a bit of peace and avoid excuses for Bru critics to bash us with. Again.

Is it actually going to close in June or is this a tactical gun to the government’s head by Jingye?
They’re looking more subsidy to move onto this green steel proposal that’s how it reads to me.
£500m more than what the government has offered and…
The company is starting a formal consultation with its workforce and unions over three options:
The closure of the blast furnaces, steelmaking operations and Scunthorpe Rod Mill by early June 2025
The closure of the blast furnaces and steelmaking operations in September 2025
The closure of the blast furnaces and steelmaking operations at a future point beyond September 2025.’
Not sure how any Scunthonian can still back Trump with his industry killing tariffs.

They put their money in to keep the club in existence, and are trying to keep the whole thing on the rails and get us promoted out of this Dodge City league. This Sundays shenanigans are just that, shenanigans, lessons no doubt learned along the way.
After the unmitigated car crash of Hilton, the current board and Michelle in particular still have credit in the bank with me.Echo that.

Are you speaking for yourself awaywego? I don’t think all credit has gone regarding Michelle and Roj, generally speaking.
Can we keep it constructively critical and drop the personal insults gents please? Can we rise above the levels of rhetoric seen on other platforms in the name of unity?

Just had a quick look at the Facebook Group page to try and answer Gurney’s question about the cost of Brad’s pie and peas and I see Jerry is making sly digs at the Trust sharing the FSA piece that quotes the Trust. Really no need for it. Says it’s just an opinion but it’s more than that. A reminder Jerry: which 3 groups were invited to the club on Monday to chat with the Board about the FC100000 saga? Smacks of bitterness.
Brad’s have posted their pie and peas option. I would.

Lol, not him. Vim openly admits to posting on here in the past but stopped because it’s run by Marxists, apparently.
Definitely far from over, though I also pessimistically thought the other day ‘Kiddie are winning this now’. My general feeling is it’ll go down to the wire. Love to be proven wrong.
Tend to do agree with that take Siderite.
Drama United FC
I don’t think vendettas against Bru forum and podcast will go away soon. Which is a huge shame when key reps from all three fans groups including Bru, Trust and Iron Hour are able to present a united front to the Board like they did this week.

My understanding was that he pulled the plug himself. Though I don’t know if that’s fact or not.
And the fact that Matt E doesn’t run this site was covered off last season during the darkest of times. I know I’ve said it elsewhere, but I suspect this is one of a number of ex-forum members with an axe to grind. Many of the most self righteous seem to leave with a hissy fit.

Earth calling Tom, earth calling Tom…
‘Ideal result for us yesterday with Kidderminster winning I’d say looking at there running. Cant see them winning more than 3/4 games in them fixtures.’
One of our ex-forum members who took their ball home last season I suspect.
