My sentiments regarding Wharton too I-A. I’d also add that though Swann picked up some debt from Wharton, he did so because Wharton left it a decent proposition which was frequently cited nationally as a well run club. Very different from an incompetent selling to a vulture and the latter having to be paid to leave.

I’ll wager some sort of new drama will unfold once the accounts are published. I’m anticipating some Francis Austin action.
Where did operating unsustainably get the club?
Terrible at Christmas time. Frequently left parcels on the front door step. Luckily didn’t have any swiped.
‘Murderer’?
On the commentary Torps was getting a bit agitated wishing the play to slow down a bit at two nil up, keep possession instead of rushed balls, etc. I was thinking, perfect opportunity to try and improve goal difference, go for it. Sounds like their keeper kept out 2 or 3 Mo hits late on. Could’ve had a hatrick according to Torps, and as someone mentioned earlier.
Should have known from the title it was a Rene special tbf

Radio commentary
Waste of time that was looking for this elusive offer. Hoping to make at least one of those. Maybe both

In all seriousness, him seemingly AWOL since the incident is a concern.

Pity Bucksiron and Pat O’Cake aren’t around still to offer the Board free PR Guru nous and catering expertise.
There are some questionable ideas on here though. Mostly mine.
Wonder if he was pulled up about his shouty sweary incident at Kiddie last week too? Club officials must have been thinking it wasn’t a good look from a catering manager to have the game temporarily stopped due to a player complaining about his ranting abuse?
I’m getting Tim Lovejoy vibes

Yep
Person with Power and Infulence is removed from a Position
Person is not happy and goes Public
Supporters of said person get angryJust like Scunny’s version of the MAGA Crowd storming the White House
Oh aye, I wouldn’t go any way near as far as demanding his reinstatement or anything like that. Wasn’t aware he’d been kicking off at the venue on Monday either. In light of that, I can understand the ban more.

No idea. Don’t know the answers to your questions either.
Charlie Chav Fest? Perhaps not a gig for those us monitoring our blood pressure nowadays? Mr Scruff at Betty’s Tea Room please.

I can understand the contract severance in the circumstances, but a stadium ban for the individual seems extreme.

FFS. Disproportionate is an understatement. Petty for sure.

He’s improved with all that psychological coaching Rene ;)
I’d hope they stick with Butler even without promotion. He’s undeniably improving and I still think changing manager, even at season end, would be detrimental in the long run.

Read it twice. Still looking for a bit of substance.

Frightening really.
On a sillier note, it could be Max talking about Bru ;)
Oh aye, fully aware of that. But I think there’s merit in some of it, if not all.
Been giving this fans voice kneejerk reaction some more thought. I think the club should revise the spec and number of reps if they really want to be serious about it. There’s a token ‘all corners of the community’ or summat, but no way is that going to appeal to less obvious sections of the fan base and town. There’s an opportunity here for the club to build on all the Iron in the Community work and let supporters and potential new supporters have a say and be represented. Otherwise there’s the potential of 3 Reform Dave’s, young, ‘mid-range’ and old as Gareth lazily suggested on the IH podcast. Club can do better than that and use this as an opportunity to widen the fan base, which is absolutely necessary in coming years. For that reason, I’d suggest 6 reps meeting monthly together, then with board to have a serious discussion about ways to improve, what’s working, what isn’t etc. with 6 reps you get a more diverse range of people from the towns many communities of interest. Scunthorpe’s always been a melting of cultures and migrants due to the Works. Opportunity for the club to recognise that now and be a bit more progressive.

I probably am a bit biased but regarding the two accounts of the fc100000 debacle, much preferred Bru’s erudite dissection than the glossy bantz version. Though, I acknowledge there’s room for both, each to their own and all that.
