No one should ever be subjected to Joe Rowley’s initiation song. Okay, Keith Hill maybe…
Done. Predicting another excellent bottom half finish.
That is good to see. I’m a fan of this trophy tour malarkey. I reckon it’s time well spent and will do the power of good. Just an afterthought, is it a commercial benefit of sponsorship deals I wonder (i.e. ‘photo opp with trophy should we be promoted’?). If not, it’s a nice one to add in to future proposals, now with photographic examples.

Rob Waltham?
I find the polls and teaser campaigns a bit tedious, as I said the other day. However, it’s partly due to being jaded by having done them myself for years in a working capacity and tbh, virtually every club actively engaged in positive marketing and Comms is doing it. So really, just a Meldrewesque gripe from me and if it’s working for the club, I don’t have any major beef.
Cods new Umbro home shirt seems to be going down well. Lots of fins flapping.
He’s made about 120-30 appearances in 10 years. Maybe he just can’t find the right club? :)
From what I can tell, he barely got any game time the last few seasons. Now they’ve let him go. All for a bit of experience at a higher level but not one who’s not been playing much and has been released. Think I’ll pass on that one.
What on earth was the Turan signing all about? 2 year deal based on what? Very strange.
Especially when your hero ‘Banjo’ hits a rich vein of form.
It is a huge step up. Fingers crossed it works out.

I would hope it’s Whitehall/ Howe partnership with Carlton out wide and Dawson partnering Clunan. Beck for Whitehall for certain matches and when he’s injured or needs resting. Certainly promising.
Certainly going to meet sterner defences. If he bags more than 15 I think that’s a decent success. Carlton wide sounds sensible

To heaven and Beck
Speaks volumes about Whitehall’s belief in Butler’s project that he’s signed for two years. Thank goodness the Board didn’t listen to the ‘noise’.

He’ll be ejaculating from Spain to Britain
Just posted a Declan Howe thread in a similar vein before seeing this!
I was a bit premature tbh…

These teaser polls on X are tedious. ‘What do you want next Iron fans?’. Er, for you to just feckin’ get on with it?
Aye aye cap’n
Worth a punt
‘If we lose both of those, this season is going to be a hell of a struggle. We haven’t exactly got the budget to draft in direct replacements so there will be an awful lot of luck involved.’
You literally have no idea how next season will unfold without seeing exactly who goes out and who comes in.
I did see that. I’d say Beagrie was an icon, not a legend.
June 9, 2025 at 9:06 am in reply to: Liz Truss joins thug who battered OAP to launch whiskey at Glanford Park #305570Wasn’t the loud clubbing music during the match due to Zanetti’s over enthusiastic promotion for the weekender? So in theory it shouldn’t happen again.
Why should the club have to go through a middle man to get money for their TM merchandise.
Poor form from the Trust to think it’s ok to sell knock off gear.
‘knock off gear’? Not like they’re some chancers making a fast buck given profits go back in to the club.
A transparent misuse of a nickname
Looks like they had a beef but he had none.

Adopting the nickname ‘the Iron’ because of a link to metal window frames seems a bit tenuous.
He can sell those beehives now. They did their job.
