Lol, literally taking the ball home and throwing the toys out the pram. How will Musk respond? Burn his DOGE cap?

Live updates: Trump considering selling his Tesla in latest Musk row – BBC NewsJune 6, 2025 at 3:02 pm in reply to: Liz Truss joins thug who battered OAP to launch whiskey at Glanford Park #305509Michelle clearly understands customer care and how to nurture relationships. Good to see.
They’re just jealous. And rightly so.
They’re both so childish and egotistical it could go on for some time. Hopefully.
Lol, you keep telling yourself that.
It’s ‘you’re’ btw, Mensa.
You did well to bring Hilton in to a discussion about NL winner odds awaywego.
Wasn’t it his intention to try buying the stadium off Swann after claiming he was good for the money but then appeared not to be? What his intentions were had he miraculously got the ground with his magic beans is purely speculative.
Just another excuse for Awaywego to parade down the street wearing just his pink jock strap and stockings, FFS he’ll be crowing about it for months.
Claret and blue codpiece surely?
I’m in favour of her argument. Though I wonder if she’d have been so vociferous had they gone up?

It’s a non story
It happened on ‘our patch’, which makes it fair game for discussion by those who might want to discuss it here. It also happened during the Stadium Weekender, so again it’s fair game for discussion, and it involves a former Prime Minister buddying up with a convicted thug, so it’s not a non-story. It’s at the very least interesting.
Aye. I’m not overly invested in it but you’re right it’s not a non-story when the club are involved in bad press. As always, those not interested are not obliged to take part in discussion around this or any other topics for that matter. That’s a polite way of putting it :)

June 2, 2025 at 4:02 pm in reply to: Liz Truss joins thug who battered OAP to launch whiskey at Glanford Park #305352Can’t stand the rag but I don’t think they’ve got much wrong in this case have they? I.e. she was there for some strange reason only know to her. Oh yeah, to support Scunthorpe, lol. Yeah, course you were Truss.
June 2, 2025 at 9:21 am in reply to: Liz Truss joins thug who battered OAP to launch whiskey at Glanford Park #305315Anybody in charge, in their right mind, who heard Zanetti’s slurred garbage on the tannoy at half time in the Chester league game would have binned him on the spot (literally the centre spot). They didn’t and here we are.
Might not have been as simple as that given how far down the line of planning they were (contracts, promotion, agreements etc)
June 2, 2025 at 9:14 am in reply to: Liz Truss joins thug who battered OAP to launch whiskey at Glanford Park #305312Sure I saw one of the Directors posting ‘same again next year?’. If they’re going to host a gig or festival again, surely they’ll do it without Zanetti and co in tow?
Saw some folks knocking the critics based on a better turnout on Sunday. Failed to take in to account bad PR like this.
June 1, 2025 at 11:03 pm in reply to: Yet another…’what have you been listening today?’ Thread #305293Ha ha, funnily enough I thought the definition summed up Farage’s latest ideas for the country! Don’t fear, I’m not siding with Lozza Fox just yet.
Looks like the sort of design Hilton would have come up with.
More like ‘to me…oh’
Exactly
I think it’s good to go!

Or ‘impractical and foolishly idealistic.’
One of many AI generated designs on the Facebook Group. Has to be one of, if not the worst, of the lot.
You’d best get on with making more Thai Baht then. Just think you could have a soapy massage parlour in the Iron Bar. I’m sure that would be a money spinner.
Mo’s not for me. Handy sub but defensively, no.
‘Did somebody say “fraud”‘? [David Hilton]
I think there was more than 5 at the back being the single issue as some appear to believe. I’d also suggest a huge decline in the ability to pass the ball well. Nicholson in particular, but he wasn’t alone.
Not strictly true on the first count and pure typical speculation on the second. If it helps you to believe your own claims to justify yourself and your existence, then it must have it’s merits. Bit like religion.

I was being unusually sarcastic. I don’t think Butler will want to risk the wrath of the experts. The less ‘noise’ the better I’d wager.
5 at the back should do it.
‘Michael Clunan, I think will stay – he gave up part time to join us and at his age I think he’s doing it more for his football career than money and I think he’ll want to play in the NL.’
I’m sure he’ll be able to point the Board in the right direction towards his demands :)
In all seriousness though, I think that makes sense. May aswell give as much time up to pro football while it lasts. Can’t see him getting that many offers to test himself in the NL and he’s got his other career to fall back on later anyway.
‘One of the directors said “if your shop window is not attractive everything else behind that won’t be successful”.’
Did said Director apply that philosophy to the Stadium Weekender?
